YAY!!

Paul Gilbert says....

In between my very busy touring schedule, I managed to make another new CD! I will announce more details about this soon. Let me just say that it will blow your mind when you hear it!

Oh YES Mr Gilbert.....I am sure it will.....

Sad to See that Mike Szuter is not on tour with him at the moment though....GUTTED!!! I expect he is doing stuff with his own band Magna-Fi...although Craig Martini used to play with Mike's old band...

Still i love Mike...you can so tell he is a front man in another band....he just LOVES to perform...he is so outgoing on stage...well and off when I met him to be honest....

ah well only 3 weeks to go and I will see what this Craig Martini is like....

Hugs Satriella xx

Zenfish - thanks for remembering the day. Roy may have been chased by many demons but his gift was undeniable. Truly one of the great sad stories in music.

Tikimon - i r'member the offer extended by the Stones and his reluctance to join. Micky T stood in quite nicely for many years.

Roy played the greater DC area just north of us here. He was our great "undiscovered" hero. Was much loved and very well known.

Unfortunately he was also well known by the NorVA police as they frequently had to come and pick him up for Drunk and Disorderlies. There is some speculation and various conspiracy theories about exactly how he met his end in prison.

Whatever the truth he is missed and deserves to be remembered for his remarkable talent.

GoldenGirl - many thanks for the welcome!

Joe - Can't wait to see you Friday night.

Marksaurs : yeap.. let me believe that when it's question of Blues, gift & demons are not really separated..

Don't know why so much people love so much Clapton & ignore Buchanan.

Never noticed that before, but.. the story of B..

Beck is the blessed B.

Buchanan was the cursed B. The 20th anniversary of his death is so few celebrated.. that's a shame.

Today, October 22th 2008, i celebrate it:

The Cursed B (1939/1988)

Maybe that's why Mike got his hair cut? To better fit under Joe's hats? They ARE both fashion plates ya know! Does this make Mike a hat rack....along with his other talents? lol!

Glad u liked the vid chelle, u'da found it on yer own eventually I know, but I had to post it when I found it, they were all OVER that song!! Weren't u like right in front of Joe for that? I saw him look down and give a big ol' smile at one point and figgered it was to you and A

Cappy>Thats about as good a complement as it gets bro thx n Good Q 2! I,ll try explain ....the whole of WH doesn’t “flow” t be honest, it’s a real mishmash & deliberately so mainly because I got fed up with the concept that a cd had to be. Egyptian Psycho was the only rock instrumental I,d written & the reason its there is because of all the concerts/cds I,ve listened in my nearing 40 years, I,ve never felt the want or need for more than 30mins of ANY artist so I figured if I could reinvent myself for every track just maybe I could hold a persons attention long enough for them to get to the end hopefully without boring anyone into submission?

My next effort is for me a better work, i dont think people will like it, but for me its as honest as i can be, fingers crossed bro

Really chuffed y have Christmas at home this year btw, i,m back home first time in at least 5 years for grumble...my ol ma n pa cant wait...MAGIC times

Glitz man - you're not kidding (about the price of additional creations). Hope to pick one up at some point

Cheese - nice Joe interview there, thanks and gr8 find on Crushing Day! Are your shows near yet, I've forgotten which ones you're headed to. Is Chris going to all of them with you as well?

Igenousiceman - agree on Lewis. I just hope all goes smoothly and he takes the title (pretty please). Did you catch the last guitar program? Hoorah, they had Vai... but if they know to include Stevey where was Joe!? Tut tut. Still, an entertaining enough series. You should check out my youtube vid of New Years in Sydney for a cool Gilmour soundtrack moment.

Bluemoon - are you Club Joe'd up for your trip, or just GA?

TuesdaysChild - my favourite music related movies, in order are "For Your Consideration", "Say Anything", and "Super Mario Bro's".... all three have a common theme ; )

More seriously I think Still Crazy would be one of them, and High Fidelity. Then Almost Famous, and That thing you do started off well but tailed off for me. Rock Star and The Wedding Singer also.. FAF

Michelle - cool about the show and catching up with Joe. Got any pics to post?

Zincmaster - thanks for the investment tips, LMAO

Out of the Setlist - any more room in the car LOL? I have been told unofficially that my contract will be extended - wahoo. Still, that does really mean waiting for the official word before booking my California travels. They're cutting it a bit tight....

Laters everyone

cheese101 - Thanks for the Halloween idea...I actually like that costume a lot. I think I have something else in mind, though...

And that Crushing Day video is from the South American leg of the SBM tour. The shirt Joe's wearing is one of my favorites, too (check out the second post on his second page of posts here...he answers a question about it).

Blue_Moon - I'll email you, but we have to go to that Buckethead gig.
Joe Satrini - You seriously think you'd be able to come out to California? That'd be awesome if it can work out.

My car is full for the Reno show, unfortunately, but it's completely empty (other than me of course) for the San Diego and Los Angeles gigs. Or you could go to San Francisco...if you're staying there you can take public transportation to the gig easily. And it sounds like that show will have the biggest T2J party in the line outside... :-)
