Everyone : (whoever cares that is)

I put up my setlist a few days ago. It doesn't indicate my favorite JS songs in any order, just my current idea of what I'd like to hear in a live concert. I went for the order I did because if you have too many fast/power songs consecutively, some in the audience might start to burn out; conversely, if youhave too many slow songs in a row, you can get a crowd all mellow-yellowed out too early. Anyway, that's my take on it.

webmaster + blue_moon : Speaking of that, in the setlist combo boxes, the song is called   OUT OF THE SUNSHINE. What's up with that?

I know a lot of people on the sight love em some blues. I saw a great story on the Today Show a few days ago about a blues band called The Homemade Jamz Blues Band. Has anyone every heard them before? Just some kids with some great chops! If you haven't heard them, you should check them out. Very talented family.

guitarjanitor....I'm glad you got to see the show but that sucks. I don't know that I would have come out of that day smiling. Where were your guitars? In your car? Holy balls...I can't even afford ONE of Joe's guitars, but to lose TWO in one day? You have my deepest sympathy bro'..

Keniko--I agree. Steven Tyler is among the best rock singers in the world. Every time I listen to him, I notice how versatile his voice is from song to song. It's great to see him singing outside of Aerosmith--showing off what he's made of!

Take care,

GG2

It's just so sad what some people will do, and how far they will go, to spread fear and hatred during an election. I believe this woman was following McPalin's lead for fear based scare tactics to win votes. This woman was a McCain volunteer for his campaign.

[This is sick!

I wonder if her fight scene looked like Jim Carry's in LIAR, LIAR?

Is it possible one or more of us in involved in private prayers for this election? I mean praying that the election will bring out "the better angels of our nature" as President Lincoln stated.

I know Joe wrote a song called "Secret Prayer". It may be worth a listen at this time.

Love ya all.

Happy birthday to RHCP/Chickenfoot drummer Chad Smith, who is 47 today. Also, Jon Anderson of Yes is 64.

Does anyone know what song is played at the start of the most recent podcast, before we hear The Who in the venue?
tikimon - Do you have his first CD, Smokin', released under the name Kid Jonny Lang and the Big Bang? It's from 1995...there's more great playing there.
Blue_Moon - "i dont know about you but i don't think a building would collapse like that from a few chair and desks on fire"

I'd consider the fact that the US government brought down that building with explosives or something as a safety measure. But if it's anything more than that someone needs to tell me what they were trying to hide and why it was still in the building for eight hours after the two towers went down, leading them to need to use explosives. I just don't see how a motive can fit in with that day's timeline.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the US shot down Flight 93 as a preventative measure, but that's about the only 9/11 "conspiracy theory" I believe in.

I don't believe the moon landing was faked and I don't think the government is hiding anything mindblowing at Area 51.

I do, however, think we haven't been told the whole story regarding JFK's assassination.

GoldenGirl2 - I don't know if I ever posted a welcome message to you, but...welcome!

I'm not really a Three Doors Down fan, but I saw them in concert a few years ago with a friend who is a big fan. They're pretty good as far as modern rock bands go. I really thought it was cool how their lead singer introduced each song with a short story or some other tidbit about the song...it made the show more enjoyable for someone like me who didn't know much about them.

You might know their song Kryptonite, from The Better Life, their first album (from 2000).

lazermario - Thanks for sharing your setlist, and for taking the time to organize it. Speed Of Light would be a fun opener, and I really like your run of New Last Jam / The Eight Steps / Oriental Melody / Dog With Crown & Earring / The Souls Of Distortion.
nicktheguitarist - You can buy Ghosts on iTunes.
cheese101 - Thanks for the Stuuu... :-)
michelle - Woohoo...! Thanks for finding that. It's always cool to see me, haha.
Listening to: Aerosmith - Get Your Wings (current song: Pandora's Box)

I put this album on because some people here mentioned Steven Tyler...I think this is one of his strongest, vocally.

It's nice to see him. Aerosmith was my first favorite band, and I still REALLY love them. He's definitely my favorite frontman.

I last saw Aerosmith in late 2006, with Motley Crue opening. Steven Tyler's in-ear monitors weren't working for the first few songs...he ripped them out and I could tell he wasn't very happy. He couldn't hear himself, so he was singing louder and stronger than usual as a result, and I have to say that's the best vocal performance I've ever heard of the seven or so Aerosmith shows I've seen.

If anyone feels up to it, I'd love to see a list of five or ten songs that you think are among Steven Tyler's best, vocally. I'll think about it for a bit and post my list later...

...Austin...
