Time for my two cents worth on the conspiracy thing.

I reckon that governments are conspiring to drop enough hints so that all the thinkers get conspiring to make theories about what the governments are conspiring about. While this is happening, the governments are getting up to whatever they want without fear of suspicion or interruption because all the people who have the will or inclination to be concerned about what is going on are too busy conspiring about conspiracy theories.

Time for a beer methinks. Have I mentioned that I like beer?

I love beer.

I love all these reviews from the gigs - all full of joy and happiness and bursting with having had a great time, just how I felt after Melbourne in July.

Stooo...! Thanks for stopping by, and for posting all of your YouTube videos earlier in the tour. Have you changed anything in your bass solo since what we saw in your video early in the European leg? Any new surprises we can look forward to?

I love the arrangement of Going To California you've been doing...very cool! See you at the end of the tour...

Everyone else - Yeah, seeing purple made me go back to my usual name...haha. ;-) I guess I'll just give up on OOTS.
tikimon - I did a quick search on YouTube earlier but I couldn't find Tony Levin's version of that song to share. It's on his solo album Resonator, though.
hybes - Sorry to hear about your father in law...let us know if there's anything we can do.
Skippygirl - I don't have that video link handy to look again, but I'm wearing a white Satch t-shirt with the Tumble artwork. Those photos were taken after the 20th Anniversary SWTA gig in Los Angeles last year...the satriani.com photo gallery is here. And this is a really clear photo of me, but I'm in a few others in that gallery if you want to look around a bit.

There's a short clip of me from this same show on the PSATMOR bonus DVD.

Hi all....Blue Moon your piece for you solo comp is very sweet.

Did anybody see Jeff Beck on TV last night, he was playing along with Eric Clapton, but what captivated me was this teeny weeny little girl called Tal Wilkenfield who was playing bass with the biggest smile on her face. This is what i think was going through her head....'Wow I'm playing with Jeff Beck....and Eric Clapton...and look, Jimmy Page is watching me, and who'd that peeking around the corner...holy shit it's Robert Plant!!' Plant and Page were not sitting together....

I was told this evening, don't know how true this is or if it's my bass player friends idea of a joke...but apparently Led Zep are touring with the singer from Alterbridge! Can anybody confirm this, or is there some serious leg pulling being done.

Well guys I've just had one of the worst weeks of my life. I'd been using a forum to chat about some relationship problems. As I'm sure you can appreciate it was an outpouring of my innermost thoughts about certain people and it was completely and entirely safe and anonymous. That is, until I stupidly posted a link, that left the entire thread seachable and it's been found, by my last boyfriends ex girlfrend. And she featured quite heavily in my posts....and now she's crazy angry....

I've managed to have the threads deleted courtesy of friendly moderators...but this has been scary!

What a great show tonight at the historic Carolina Theater. I thought our crowd was a little subdued but Stu woke 'em up, thanks. My favorite of the night was "Stormy Monday" w/ Leslie West. I'm a blues man at heart and listening to the JS Band+ do a blues number...let's put it this way, you're playing downtown Durham NC, it just fit perfectly.

A special thanks to Galen for being so very cordial (he is so nice!) to my daughter. The lucky ten year old won a free Washburn guitar in a raffle. Gets to go backstage, meets Galen and gets a picture with him. And then Joe gives her a wonderful greeting and autograph.

I hope the tour is a safe one, keep on rockin', hope your home before ya know it. Thanks again from Carolina.

Peace

Tuesdayschild - I've heard the Alter Bridge rumors as well, but they're just that...rumors.

I think that info is actually a bit old (before Robert posted the note on his website saying he would not be involved with anything Led Zeppelin-related). In my mind, it makes sense that maybe the Js would've been rehearsing with another singer just as a stand-in while Robert was off doing his own thing.

I saw Alter Bridge in concert three years ago and thought their singer was horrible. But I wasn't really a fan of the band to begin with (to be fair, if I wasn't a fan of Rush or Dream Theater I might have negative things to say about their singers after seeing them in concert). They did do a cover of LZ's Rock And Roll at that show, and I remember it being pretty good.

Personally I hope the Js find someone else. Maybe this guy is good, but we're talking about LED ZEPPELIN here. And you don't just get any singer for Led Zeppelin. I've also heard rumors that Steven Tyler has been rehearsing with the guys. I'd be more accepting of a big name like that, but I don't think he'll do it either because he has other things going on obviously.

On a personal note, I'm sorry to hear that things have been crazy lately...hopefully things are OK now. Did you ever end up getting those DVDs? Maybe something fun like that would help get your mind off this other stuff...

Blue_Moon - Blame Jon Luini...he was the one who took those photos. Maybe he took them at boring moments. ;-)

Seriously, though, you're right...US crowds, especially LA crowds, can be pretty lame. But I do have to say that gig at the Roxy had one of the better crowds...it just doesn't come across in the photos.

cheese101 - Yeah, I actually met Brian in line earlier that afternoon...it was nice to have someone to talk to while we were waiting (and listening to Joe's awesome soundcheck).

"They should post a warning label on Chinese yellow hot mustard stuffs"

I was up in Berkeley a few weeks ago for a concert. One of my co-workers went to school there, so she gave me a list of restaurants to try. She mentioned a hot dog stand that was really good, but she told me to stay away from the Russian mustard.

So, of course, I had to try it. I had a bit of a cold then, and man, it cleared everything up. I loved it...haha. But I don't think I'll ever try it again. ;-)

Listening to: Joe Satriani - Strange

And speaking of being sick, listening to this song now makes me think back to the pnemonia shows Joe played in late 2004. This song was in the setlist, and the "wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf" sounded like such a funny thing for Joe to be singing considering his condition.

Wow ! Mr. Stu Hamm ! T2J history has been made ....Very happy you dropped in Stu...please drop a line anytime.

It has'nt been this exciting since I mentioned that Eric (Andre) looked a little "baked" in one of the tour pictures. And he immediately posted back and very nicely corrected me. Does anyone here remember that? Boy, I felt like a heel but Eric was very nice about it..
