I saw Experience Hendrix last night...Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Doyle Bramhall and a bunch of other guitarists playing Hendrix stuff all night. Very awesome...

tikimon - Thanks for the mini review...it's good to hear you enjoyed the show. And thanks for sharing those photos...that wig is great!
cheese101 - I ate at this medeterranean place in San Francisco in 2004 on my Satch trip that was called "Sartani's" or "Santoni's" or something like that...I thought it was funny because it was so close to Satch's last name. I don't remember where it was, though, so I'm not any help...sorry.
GuitarCrazyManiac - Hi...welcome to the site! Tell us a bit about yourself...
BigBunny - It's nice to see you here again... :-)
ZuperDaveMcCarthy - Your photo link didn't work, but you just edited your post so I guess you already know that.
Keniko - Thanks for the link...I'll listen as soon as I'm done with my current CD.
michelle - Those things are pretty lame, but I'd have to hope most people are smart enough not to fall for them anyway. The idea of a second election on Wednesday is probably the oldest trick in the book...haha.
draydron - Hi...welcome to the site. Maybe this link will help you:

Hey Joe, I am Chris Terranova a very good friend of Kyle Jones at Stage Call. Please remind Galen of the 4 meet and greet passes I am to pick up at Houstons HOB will call. I will be there between 7 and 7:30pm. I have been a serious fan since I saw you at the Agora Ballroom in Houston and Rocky Athens of Lightning opened for you. I am 53 years old and play clubs since I was 16. The band I have now plays a few of your tunes.

See ya Tuesday night! Chris Terranova

Austin, the sad part is, there are so many first time voters for this election that they really don't know the deal. When something comes to your door with an official looking township seal, it's very confusing as to what's real and what bull. Even people who have been voting all their lives are wondering what's going on with all the misinformation filtering into their homes. The easy thing to say is "They should know better." The truth is, if you've never done something before, like drive a car, wouldn't it be helpful to have someone give you the proper instructions instead of saying the gas pedal was the brake, the brake was the gas, and to go right you turn the wheel counter-clockwise?

The Republicans should be ashamed of their party's tactics. It's simply pathetic. Sure there's dirty politics in every election, but this crap should be illegal.

Obama's Grandmother Dies One Day Before Election

Obama took an emotional 22-hour trip to Hawaii to visit her on October 23 and 24. Monday, November 3, 2008

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's grandmother died of cancer, he said in a statement on Monday, a little more than a week after Obama interrupted the White House race to say goodbye to her in Hawaii.

"It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer," Obama said in a joint statement with his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng. "She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility."

Dunham helped raise Obama from the age of 10 while his mother was working in Indonesia, and Obama took an emotional 22-hour trip to Hawaii to visit her on October 23 and 24.

Just recovering from the Satch show at HOB in O-Town. What a great show! Loved the band background! Awesome bass solo and great drums as well. Only one bad incident. Some loser from upstairs launched a beer bottle on a guy in front of me. He was ok though. I hope security ripped that guy a new one....

Caj, you are in for a real treat. Joe gives you your moneys worth. In O-Town, he started the gig with I just wanna rock. He continued through the night scortching the neck. An awesome solo by Stu, and great drums as well. For the end, he brought Mr. West out for some dueling geetars. Awesome show!

Thanks for the great pictures. Your molten red Ibanez guitar looks like the finest work of art a man would be proud to own! Great find! Lovely nature pics.

Numbawunnitch--Hello! How are things in New England? Is your weather getting frosty?

Tikimon--Thank you for the great Halloween concert pictures. Joe is a crack up in that wig! LOL :-D

Michelle--Is it time to take some deep breaths and go to a Zen space? This election will be over soon and no one will be more grateful than me.

njbeast----We need to talk. My grandfather was born just outside of Manchester in Hazel Grove in the late 19th century. His North Carolina son, Joe "The Art Teacher" was my late dad. Not to be confused with "Joe the plumber". Hee heee!

Blue Moon-----Good on ya, man! Aren't you glad you aren't mixed up in this "disUnited" States of America political crap?

Rock on guitar lovers!

Hey Joe, I loved the show at the house of blues in Orlando on Halloween. I was lucky enough to meet you after the show, I missed the 5:00 meet & greet, sorry for the inconvience. The show was amazing, Revelation and Crowd Chant stand out as favorites with Andlusia coming in a solid 1st. I was wondering if there would be any way to get a copy of the set list for 10/31/08. Fan For 20 years! ps. you have a fantastic staff. I missed the meet & greet, But Lindsey took care of every thing thanks!

Sacramento County sucks...I requested an absentee ballot nearly a month ago and it didn't come in the mail until Monday. My vote doesn't count unless it's in their office up in Sacramento by 8 p.m., and there's no way that can happen. I was just up there this weekend and could have hand delivered it if they didn't take so freakin' long to mail it to me. Ugh.

I guess I could have registered in LA County and gone to vote in person, but I thought the absentee thing would've been just fine because it's always worked for me in the past.

I'm going to call the Secretary of State's office to complain, but I doubt they can do anything.

Lame!

cajuggalo - Welcome to the site! I don't want to spoil the show for you, so I'll just say Satch is going to blow you away...you'll have a great time. Be sure to post a review here after the show.
Mahavishnu - Yes, Robby Krieger was there as well...as were a million other people that I can't possibly name. ;-) Brad Whitford's son Graham even came out to jam on a song, which was pretty neat.

I think Eric Johnson and Jonny Lang stole the show. Doyle Bramhall was great as well. I really like how those three chose some of the more obscure Hendrix songs to do, instead of the obvious big hits.

I don't want to spoil too much, but two of my favorite EJ songs were Love Or Confusion and May This Be Love (Waterfall). Jonny by far had more energy than anyone else up there, and he had great stage presence (a surprise, considering he was the youngest person on a bill with some BIG names). His vocals on Fire were incredible.

Anyway, I have more to say but I'll wait. Let me know how it goes in Portland... :-)

cheese101 - I'll bring my Homer slippers, but I'll never wear a nightie!
Master West - Joe has played the same set at each show on the US tour up to this point. Click here...
