Hey Joe, I loved the show at the house of blues in Orlando on Halloween. I was lucky enough to meet you after the show, I missed the 5:00 meet & greet, sorry for the inconvience. The show was amazing, Revelation and Crowd Chant stand out as favorites with Andlusia coming in a solid 1st. I was wondering if there would be any way to get a copy of the set list for 10/31/08. Fan For 20 years! ps. you have a fantastic staff. I missed the meet & greet, But Lindsey took care of every thing thanks!

Sacramento County sucks...I requested an absentee ballot nearly a month ago and it didn't come in the mail until Monday. My vote doesn't count unless it's in their office up in Sacramento by 8 p.m., and there's no way that can happen. I was just up there this weekend and could have hand delivered it if they didn't take so freakin' long to mail it to me. Ugh.

I guess I could have registered in LA County and gone to vote in person, but I thought the absentee thing would've been just fine because it's always worked for me in the past.

I'm going to call the Secretary of State's office to complain, but I doubt they can do anything.

Lame!

cajuggalo - Welcome to the site! I don't want to spoil the show for you, so I'll just say Satch is going to blow you away...you'll have a great time. Be sure to post a review here after the show.
Mahavishnu - Yes, Robby Krieger was there as well...as were a million other people that I can't possibly name. ;-) Brad Whitford's son Graham even came out to jam on a song, which was pretty neat.

I think Eric Johnson and Jonny Lang stole the show. Doyle Bramhall was great as well. I really like how those three chose some of the more obscure Hendrix songs to do, instead of the obvious big hits.

I don't want to spoil too much, but two of my favorite EJ songs were Love Or Confusion and May This Be Love (Waterfall). Jonny by far had more energy than anyone else up there, and he had great stage presence (a surprise, considering he was the youngest person on a bill with some BIG names). His vocals on Fire were incredible.

Anyway, I have more to say but I'll wait. Let me know how it goes in Portland... :-)

cheese101 - I'll bring my Homer slippers, but I'll never wear a nightie!
Master West - Joe has played the same set at each show on the US tour up to this point. Click here...

Aw those slippers are cute Al, you make a girl's heart flutter.....

BTW episode 13 is a nice vid - who went to Buffalo, Kitchener and Toronto and can point themselves out in there?

Cheese - I looked at your vids of Chris on youtube , he seems like a lovely, talented boy, you must be very proud of him, and he can play ! Oh how I wish I could play, you've given him a great gift I suspect.

So is it almost over in the US? BTW the Melbourne Cup has been run and won by a local Australian horse, a great day had by all, although I didn't back the winner.

Dear Mr. Satriani & co,

Only a year ago I discovered your music, and yours is defenitely one of my favorites. I regret not having much knowledge about music and techniques, yet I do, like many, know very well what I feel and love when I hear it. As well as seeing, your show at Paradiso in June was amazing.. My friends and I will happily see you next time you're near!

Someone said, to have influence in the world, making music is often a more effective way to reach people than by politics for example.. I truly enjoy your Singing Guitars, and feel the lack of lyrics gives listeners Freedom, to create their own words (if necessary at all)!

So, I'd like to Thank you all sincerely for your work and art, making the world even more beautiful! (and funny, too..) I wish you all the best of luck and happy things, and great music in life!

:)

M.L.

Jackson 5 confirm reunion tour and album - NME.com

Jermaine Jackson has confirmed that the Jackson 5 will reunite for a tour and to release new material in 2009.

Jackson told Australian Associated Press that all the original band members--including Michael Jackson--have agreed to the reunion and have been working on new material.

He added that sister Janet Jackson would open their tour dates with a solo set.

"This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," he said.

He added, "What we've been doing is working on the music and all the logistics. It is going to be more like a family affair, Janet's going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5: Michael, Randy, and the whole family. We're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year."

CHICKENFOOT - interview w/ Sammy Hagar

Q: What's next for the Chickenfoot project?

Hagar: We got in the studio and recorded eight demos in two days. The chemistry is everything in a band. The band changes one guy, sometimes the whole damn thing changes -- look what happened when I joined Van Halen. But with this band, the chemistry is awesome. It's the best chemistry I've ever experienced, better than the Montrose chemistry, better than the Van Halen chemistry. We've got nine songs recorded, we're going back in December to get a couple more songs and will hopefully have a February/March release.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see our country limit the playing field on finances for an election? Give both candidates an equal amount of money and let the american public have to do a little research. Not just sit here like drones watch bash after bash after bash come across the tv. 2 billion dollars this year in just a few short months spent on this election. Is our country really hurting financially?? BTW, Obama didn't even show up until our economy crashed. Slansh, you like a good conspiracy....lucky timing or a democratic majority pulling a fast one????? LOL. I'm off to vote. Not for either of the bafoons but for everything else.
