ZuperDave - thanks for clearing up that last bit of confusion. In my earlier comment I was basically in agreement with you. I think we are coming at that topic (fingers + amp = tone) from the same perspective. also thanks for the info on those pic ups.

Igneousiceman - Was listening to Waiting for the Gman just the other day. What did you finally decide to listen to?

Stooo - loved your solo in Richmond (more on that later). Thanks for the pic. Great show! Great VIbe! Great time had by all!

Richmond - The National Theatre - Friday, October 24 -- Sorry I am so far behiind schedule. The show in Richmond was monstrous. Mountain was very entertaining. Leslie West can still sing (better I think than before) and his tone was great. His array of PRS guitars were sweet and Corky fueled the fire. Bass player was quite the showman and they did a great set.

Joe - Joe - Joe! Amazing. I went in expecting a lot. The bar was set pretty high in terms of expectations and I was still amazed. Better than expected (how do you do it night after night) and I was expecting a lot.

Loved the new stuff and the selections from Satch and the Musterions. Loved the old stuff. your tone was great and it was a pleasure and a privilege to see you in such an intimate venue.

Thanks for the smiles and the grins - thanks for singing a verse of GOIN DOWN! Freddy King would have been proud!!!! You really made the evening an unforgettable experience. Its been a long time since my (18 years old) son appreciated anything I did for him more than this.

Come Back To Richmond Soon!!! We love ya!!!

Hey Brit, Maybe you should go back to basics: • Learn basic chord progressions. • Play rhythm guitar. • Find chord progressions that match your style. • Improvise a lead using the scales you have learned, transposing them to the key of the chord progression you have chosen.

Mainly, you have to be able to play every scale you learn, in all 12 keys. If you don’t know what that means, you should go back to: Learn basic chord progressions.

JoeDiMaggio and tikimon: I called the venue a couple days before and found that they had a coat room. I put it in the coat room during the show and got it right after. They would NOT let me out and back in the venue. Show up early it made it a lot easier for me!

OH MY SWEET LORD IN HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Atlanta show was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've finally figured it out! Jesus Christ was God's miracle inclined son and Joe Satriani is God's musically inclined son! That's the only way a human could possibly be that totally amazing! Man he really rocked the house! I waited by the bus after the show and when he came out he came right over to the fans and started signing autographs and taking pictures. He is so down to earth and you can really tell he appreciates his fans! I can't wait till the next one I am able to attend!

THANKS FOR A TERRIFIC SHOW, JOE!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!

Hiya all.

Stu, thanks for sending us your purple. You look and sound great in the vids.

Blue Moon--you have some sweeeet guitars. Thanx for the vids and pics.

Cappy--Yesh! Man! It's evident you love beer. I can't say the same for me. Last time I had something with alcohol in it I became suicidal!! I really get too emotional and am ashamed of myself. I also am required to take prescription drugs per a doctor's orders to keep me level headed. These don't mix with alcohol. So I stay away from it. Don't mind...it's just me. I'm very very human--God help me!

I've been spinning Joe's self titled cd in my car for the past few weeks. This is the cd I fell in love with Joe's music to. I still think it contains one of the most dead sexy tunes Joe's written yet (not to leave out a few on CP). When it hits the 3 minute mark, it's on! It makes my hair stand up when Joe talks, and you'd need a 2x4 to wipe the smile off my face. LOL! I think this is one of Joe's best - Slow Down Blues.

Michelle,

I love "Dear Prudence" and the Beatles' songs were my companions as I grew up through grade school and beyond! Their immortal music will continue to pass from generation to generation.

I remember feeling lonely when I was entering adolescence and listening to the amazing Abbey Road. I was transported to a special place and felt I could conquer the world after that! Music finds us and never leaves us wanting except to keep discovering and learning! What a God-given gift!
