Hey Joe. Tonight's show at Houston was unbelievable. I am from Turkey and wanted to thank you for recognizing Asik Veysel. I was the one that screaming down front when you were announcing the song: Andalusia. You are such an inspiration and a great artist. Your Music is coming from your soul. Thank you again for being you.

And Time Machine sounded so amazing. That song frees my spirit. It took us to another planet. (sorry about the Amp) its just a live expectation. Profession is how you deal with it. It actually made the atmosphere more intimate. Smaller venue is always better too.

Hi, there from el paso, tx. so looking forward to your show on friday, it will be my first time seeing you, i am so grateful to a special friend i've made, who introduced me to your music, he has seen you in germany, many years ago, and as a token of appreaciation, i am bringing him to your show november 7. i'm excited for both of us, it is going to be a very special nite, indeed, especially if given the chance to hear "The Meaning of Love" and "Always With You Always With Me", he won my heart with those songs he first introduced me to. My friend also shares a kindred spirit and love for guitar, he plays exceptionally well, also writes his own music, recently has recorded 3 beautiful instrumentals! it would be an honor to be able to meet you, something that would mean so much to my dear friend....any chance of that, my friends name is "h" morales :)

Railton - You can read gig reviews by clicking the "r" next to each show on the Road page.

I just posted a link to Joe's current setlist in the last day or two. I think it may have been three posts ago...if you look back you should be able to find it.

BRITTANYSDADDY - I'm a big Michael Hedges fan...I think I've mentioned him here a few times over the years, but never really got a response. So it's nice to see someone else mention him...
njbeast - Happy Birthday! 26? I always thought you were older but it turns out you've only got six months on me. ;-)

Have an awesome day...

hybes - Your Satch show is tomorrow, right? Are you psyched?
GoldenGirl2 - "Bush is going to make life as difficult as possible for the average American in these last few weeks of his term."

Hmmm? I disagree. He may have made some mistakes, but he's not EVIL. He doesn't have it out for Democrats...I don't see him acting any differently over the next two and a half months.

Skippygirl - Barack Obama is a very good public speaker. I'm sure he uses teleprompters (or autocues, in your crazy Aussie world) a lot, like all politicians, but I doubt he did this time.

The speech was probably well rehearsed, but I doubt too many other preparations were made because he obviously didn't know whether or not he would win.

Listening to: Porcupine Tree - Deadwing (current song: Arriving Somewhere But Not Here)

...Austin...

Shock news, new US Prez to resign.

Due to a clerk's error, Irishman Barack O'Bama has somehow managed to win the US presidential election.

This only came to light when Kerry man O'Bama said he wanted to buy Mary McAleese a pint of Guiness and say no hard feelings after a tough campaign.

McKenna, I'm happy. Now we can talk about his victory for another 3 weeks ;- )

GGirl, quit yer cryin'. It's all good! Bush is a twat, but he got no beef at this point. He's been quiet cause he see's what they're saying about him these days. It's a shame. 8 years gone to hell on his watch.

Chee, u tole meh! lol!

brittanysdaddy, every1 is different. what helps me is find a song i know and like and put the cd on and just start trying to pick out the notes of riffs and the solo. i have to feel it. it is something from the soul from me. i really like the blues so i use old blues song for the starting point. the blues are simple and yet complex in the way it has soul and feeling. the chord progressions are relative easy. solos can be as simple as bending a string ala BB king or a blistering solo like albert collings. i am not a highly learned theory guy, but i have been hacking and pick for a few years and i just do it for the fun of it. there are some really technical guys on here and they may have a different perspective. i would suggest just having some fun and that is what leads me to abetter skill and understanding.

Another reference to the lovely Conch from Wolfie but are they one and the same person?

Wolfie's fav song = Big baboon

Big baboon is a song from a band called The Hooters.

The Hooters were big on the club scene in the Philly area in the eighties.

Did you say you reside in the Philly area Conch?

Hmmm, mebbe it's time for MY meds!

What's the difference between girls aged: 8, 18, 28, 38, 48, 58, 68 and 78?

At 8 - You take her to bed and tell her a story.

At 18 - You tell her a story and take her to bed.

At 28 - You don't need to tell her a story to take her to bed.

At 38 - She tells you a story and takes you to bed.

At 48 - You tell her a story to avoid going to bed.

At 58 - You stay in bed to avoid her story.

At 68 - If you take her to bed, that'll be a story!!

At 78 - You can get out of bed, that's another story!!!

I'm not crying now, but still sad and wondering about the next 4 years. What sacrifices are we going to be asked or told to make?

What will Obama's policy toward Canada be like? Will he embrace the rest of the world in dialog and negotiation or will he turn his back on them?
