Chris and Joe....The Lesson :)
Did we say thanks Joe? More than a bazillion times yet? LOL....so yeah, thanks Joe, for everything :) Yer the best and then some. Chris lives two hours away from me, and even now I can feel his smile all the way over here....the wattage from his grin won't dim for quite some time.
:)

Hey!! ummm seeing Joe play 2 shows in a row , way way cool. Sharing the experience with yer new friends , priceless!!! It was great getting to know you all ...its cool we all have the same passion for Joe's music!! Good to hear everyone made it home safe. Pics soon!
Listening to my NEW JEFF BECK CD - Live at Ronnie Scotts...with (finally) A DVD to be released in December. I had it shipped over here from the UK , to be released in the US on the 24th if your interested. It would have been Joe's new cd but it didn't get here in time , sorry Joe.
Jeff played 7 nights in a row and picked the performances that are to be released. I believe thats what I read. Very cool cd!!!

Wolf2:- Stay on the meds you're on ,my man,but you might want to lay off the Maxwell House coffee or any other processed instant coffee. They are all chemically enhanced and can screw with strong medication big time.Hell, instant coffee is not really that good for anyone, let alone someone who has any type of chemical imbalance in the brain. I know some people who have similar problems to you,and their doctor told them not to drink instant coffee, but coffee brewed from fresh ground coffee beans is actually better for you.So there you go my man.Hope that helps! In the mean time ,keep healthy and happy :-)

I'm playing catch-up again... A few people have asked for more show info from me, but I'll wait until I'm completely caught up before I get back into that...
What's this talk of Joe being a vegetarian? I think I missed a post somewhere, but I see a follow-up comment or two. I don't know if that's true, as I've never heard him mention it anywhere. Also, we've seen a lot of backstage footage on podcasts and webcasts but there's never been any comments about special food or any of that (we haven't seen him chowing down on a burger either, but you know what I mean)...
Joe Satrini - That flight info cartoon is pretty funny...I think the "Joe" is a bit of a stretch, but the other guy totally looks like Galen. ;-)
Also, thanks for an update on a potential acoustic Satch record. I'd love to hear one, but I'd be fine with it still being as far as 10 or 15 years away. I don't know what shape his hands/joints are in, but for the near future I'd like him to stick with his current crazy music. You can play complicated acoustic guitar music when you're 65 or 70, but you can't be playing the tapping sections from Satch Boogie or The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing every night when you're that age...you know?
And, lastly, thanks for posting that old photo of you and Joe. That's great...haha.
javadew - Thanks for the Phoenix review, and welcome to the site! You only have that one post so I guess you haven't been back...but if you're reading this now, post something. ;-)
LA_Metal - I saw Steve Lukather jam with Satch on AWMAWY at the Cliff Show back in 2006...it was very cool and yes, I think he'd be great on a future G3 tour.
Satriella - Thanks for sharing your Paul Gilbert pictures. :-) I've seen him four times, but have never been to a proper PG headlining show. I think that'd be a lot of fun...
michelle - This is random, but it's based on several days of posts...I had no idea 500 Miles had been covered by so many bands. Haha...
JS_JS - Maybe you've already posted about the show (I'm still behind on posts), but how was the second Iced Earth gig?
windrunner - Click here for Joe's setlist. This is from earlier in the tour but he played the same set every night (in that post, Crowd Chant is missing from the list and the final song is actually Going Down)...
Guitarman77897 - I'd need to re-watch the first podcast to be sure, but I think one of the first songs in the first podcast was Slick...it was recorded during the SBM sessions but didn't get released until Joe's Anthology. It's one of my favorite Satch songs...I'd love to hear it live.
hybes - When I was visiting my parents in Northern California after my run of Satch shows, I finally found a record store that had Candlebox's self-titled album in stock. I just finished listening to it...I like it a lot. Early favorites, aside from the two singles I already knew, are Don't You and Arrow. I think Rain is really cool and different for a band like this, and Cover Me is a great ballad.
Their rhythm section, especially on those last two songs I mentioned, reminds me of Aerosmith a bit. Very cool. I'll post more after I give it another listen or two...but in the meantime, what album would you recommend next?
Well, I have a page and a half to go...I should be caught up by my next post, but now I need to get some sleep.
...Austin...

cheese...awesome pictures. I gotta give your son credit. If it were me getting my playing technique analyzed
I would have broken under the pressure...lol. Thanks for sharing those..
Austin....did I forget "Crowd Chant"? Honestly I don't recall if they played that or not. And I was'nt even on anything..geez. Maybe it was the "call and response" thing...dammit I can't remember. I was pretty diligent about writing things down that night.

Why, Mckenna was arrested fer being entirely too cute in the US of course!! lol!!
Yep, I think you could say Chris was a teeeeeeny bit nervous over his time with Joe....I don't know how many times he swallowed...gulped....in the first minute sitting down with him, lol....but Joe has a very calming effect, usually. It's just that this time wasn't just a meet and greet, stand and visit kinda thing, it was OMG I've got my guitar and he's got his and we're gonna play and he's gonna watch me and listen and OMG....yeah...like that, lol!!
U know....for some strange reason, I keep checking the road page, hoping to see more tour dates already....I might need medication......and I know Joe needs a serious break!!

[b]Do the Stu[\b] It was awesome. The sound in Studiou 7 was better than it was in Portland and the crowd was actually into it. No offense to any one from Portland but Portland crowds really suck for metal shows. Every metal show I've been to in Seattle has been great. I give it a 10 out of 10.
gosh my ears hurt though.

Got to do same as Anibur and have a lie down after watching Skippygirl link. I like it where joe explains why when he tells the family he's going to be a guitar player it's ok by his Dad but worries his Mum a bit.
