WOW Satchland

What an amazing night here in ABQ! Probably the most epic night of rock in history! The combination of Joe and Leslie and their amazing "3 hour tour blues" for the encore part of the show just blew our minds!!! STU had an AMAZING bass solo that proves time after time for him to be the best bass player ever!! Im sorta lost for words... I could have sworn the Universe was going to implode. Playing from the new like "I just wanna rock" to a blast in the past of the always amazing SWA... All i can say is WOW... I hope a live DVD comes out with this tour..

Glitz Man - It's sunny during the days here, of course, but it's actually starting to feel cooler in the evenings. I like it. California weather is awesome, but I miss the changing seasons every now and then...

Mahavishnu - Oh man, it's a bummer EJ wasn't at your show...I'd say he was the highlight of the LA gig. The lineups are a bit different from show to show, but I think he was supposed to be on the whole tour so I wonder why he wasn't there.

What woman sang Little Wing? That song wasn't done in LA.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd is excellent, and his set was one of the best, but it didn't stand out to me at this show because it wasn't too different from what he normally does on his own tours (I saw him with Double Trouble a few years ago and he played a few Hendrix covers). His singer is excellent though, you're right about that.

Was Jonny Lang at the Seattle show? What'd you think of him? I'm a HUGE fan...

gotta have Joe - It's good to hear from you again...keep us posted on how you're doing, and let us know if we can help at all.
Searching22 - Satch's show in Paris earlier this year was recorded for a DVD release...it'll probably be out before Christmas.

Right, I'm wondering whether to get a Satchurator or the new Robin Trower overdrive pedal. Toughy this one, I already get a kinda Satch-ish tone, but the Satchurator sounds soooo good. On t'other hand, Trower has one of the fattest tones in the business. But, big but here, there's £100 difference between the two....

Glitz man, michelle: Again, Happy Anniversary to you and Dave. Hope you two do something wonderful together. LOL! Honey, being together for 21 (26) years IS something wonderful. I've learned that it's really what you do everyday for each other that matters, and not so much something grand one day a year. Thanks for the nice wishes.

Slan, isn't it about time for more Johnny Lee pics? lol!

Cappy, Michellica - lmao! I never thought of that one...but I like it. lol!

Here's one for the geezers!

death cube k: The weather is getting cooler and we did not receive any snow yet. I think it will come soon. I do not play guitar or any instrument. In the past, I did a lot of singing. I was in choir at my elementary and junior high schools. However, around the 6th-7th grade year, I lost it and my voice started changing. I do sing a little now, but I am not that good like I was a while back. I thought about trying to get my singing voice back.

js1200js1000: Tell your mom I said hello. Wow, you are really lucky and survived that crash a while back. Glad you are still here, especially talking to me and everyone.

Do the Stu: Can you try to bring some sun to Indiana? It is getting cloudy, muggy, and cold here right now.

Well, I gotta run. I have a 5K Race/Run in the next hour. I'll let you guys know how I do soon. Wish me luck guys!!!

Do The Stu - I believe she was a friend of Mike McCready's of Pearl Jam from Seattle. There was 2 McCreadys playing with her....

Johnny Lang seemed to be a crowd favorite and I thought he did a respectable set. I don't know his music and I didn't connect with his playing so I will have to check him out again.

Do you remember Ty Oliver? FRETSLAYER

He used to post here. Sounds great check him out !!!!

TIKIMON- your link works but the others don't. i see you like motorcycles. have you ever watched those two guys on the history channel (i think) who learn all the different fighting styles. they just had one with MMA. forgot what it stands for, mixture of martial arts i think. how is the bar thing going?

well, i leave for chicago on the 16th. finally, going back it will take about 12 weeks for the shipping container to arrive. so i will be out of touch for awhile. it will be nice when i can settle down in my own place again. the only car i didn't sell was my 2002 TA. i hope i can take her for a spin when i get home. with my luck it will start snowing. HEY any cheeseheads out there? whats the weather like. DA BEARS!!sigh...

i think your past out by now. goodnight everyone.

Hey guys,

SuperDaveMcCarthy, death cube k, js1200js1000, Do the Stu, michelle, GoldenGirl2, Guitarman77897, tikimon, and everyone:

Just got back from running the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis. It was a 5K (3.1 miles) Run. It was cold and windy. Here is how I did:

Time: 19:14 Place: 19th out of 193 Age Division: 1st

This was not one of my best races, but oh well. My next race will be November 22nd. This will be my last points race for the year.

SuperDaveMcCarthy: Check your e-mail when you get a chance. Hope everything works out man.

death cube k: Thanks. I usually keep my singing to a minimum. I usually do not let anyone listen to me sing; I'm more of a "private" person. I only sing when I feel like it or if there is a song on the radio that I enjoy listening to. I think we will be getting snow here real soon. Where are you from actually? Do you play guitar or anything?

js1200js1000: Thank you for the "hello" from your mother. I hope you two enjoy doing great stuff together. It is getting cold and windy down here in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

michelle: Hi there, and I hoped that you and Dave had a wonderful anniversary together. What did you guys do?

Well, I better rest now. I got today and tomorrow off. Therefore, I can get cleaning, laundry, and errands done. Talk with you all later.
