Lol Michelle...yep.. there is a "minimal amount"...but it's very minimal ;) ....I knew you would understand.

Since we are talking about "what are the odds of that happening"... After that last space shuttle broke apart over Texas, they eventually found some personal items belonging to the Israeli astronaut........in Palestine, TX. Thats freggin weird too..

Thanks DTS for the San Diego review - hope you have a great time n SF tonight - maybe Satch will pull out some sort of surprise.

I've been listening to Seattle 93 and Paris 90 and there is some lovely live stuff he did back then.

Have fun.

ZincMaster---Van Halen 5150 is my favorite VH album. I love Sammy Hager's vocals and the hot guitars!

Slans--I don't know much about the Music business and touring vs CDs, but I do enjoy my CD collection very much and listen to at least a 4 or 5 songs everyday between work and homework. I'm still curious about a Musician's view of the lifestyle and what works for him/her.

Michelle and Tracie--I think I have Blue Moon Fever! I am mopping my brow with a cool washcloth. Is there a doctor in the house that knows a cure? ;-D

...just came back from The Wiltern, JOE and the guys were absolutely insane!!! Loved the setlist, it was awesome, as usual... maybe I'll post a review sometime tomorrow, we'll see... I also met Austin (Do the Stu), that was pretty neat, too... I wish I could go to SF over the weekend, but I'm happy that I got to see JOE, I wasn't going to...

Tikimon San:being into M Arts you,ll understand the striking similaritys between the arts n music, same place different form, wish I had 8 lifes t absorb the knowledge of it all n boil it all down to a potent simple directness

Mama M:Hes a whole lot better today thx Shel, back t kiddy school, maybe later I,ll get some decent photos taken, have the inlaws chompin at the boot for more pics man he just gets cuter n yup that quote from The Fat Slags is one of many class one liners Viz mag characters rock!

Golden Girl 2:The lifestyle of pro musicians vary from one to another, it’s a bit like putting 10 people in a room & expect them all to eat curry, some music fits for some while others not, each style has its own stereotypical lunchbox for the good or bad depending how or who is looking at it eg a session musician has t fit into just about any environment, incredibly difficult t switch mindset from say a sweaty Rock band rehearsal during the day 2 playing Jazz standards at Tiffanys “Wine n cheesy nibbles anyone” at night you also at times have t hire the gear for the job if you don’t have it yourself, sometimes a tux as wellso wave goodbye t quarter of yer wages or more especially if the gear ends up damaged, but at least you get t go home at night n sleep in your own bed.Touring is different, you need t have your shit together in so many other areas, playing the music perfect, reliable gear, good management etc are the obvious.Having your personal life together, I,m talking trust & you need a LOT of it if your 1-6 or more months on the road is another thing entirely, no man wants t be on tour n come back home t find his bedspace taken any more than a woman wants their man sleepin around n bringing back all kinds of lovely virus for her t culture or worse! Its hard on the heart if you’re in a relationship, more so if you have family, there is little choice but to think positive & act responsibly, many a talented musician met a lonely fate from self-indulgence, more so the young, pity you cant put an old head on young shoulders

Good morning Satchland...

Why is it that my 2 and 4 year old feel the need to be up at the butt-crack of dawn, but my 12 and 14 year old need to have dynamite lit off at their feet to get them going? lol.. Oh well..if I did'nt have kids to keep me out of trouble...I'd be in trouble.

And here is yet another one of my worldly posessions to get the axe.. Fulltone Ultimate Octave

Have fun in Reno & SF all you lucky beeyaastaads ! !

Hey, 'tis a sad day for rock. "Mitch Mitchell passed away 13th November 2008 aged 61". I heard you did a special one off gig with Mitch and Billy as a tribute to Jimi, how cool would it be to release it as a tribute to the Experience?

Just a thought as i never got to attend the one off gig.

All the best Croujdane.

This post was meant for tuesday but I spaced it out.

It is dedicated to my heroes...my three grandfathers.....James McCarthy WWI ....Charlie Anthony WWII ....Charlie Coates WWII (killed in France - D Day 1944). No one...and I mean no one had more guts than those three guys and anyone else who fights for our freedom. God bless 'em.

Ok...we can go back to talking about music 'n stuff ;)

slanshroom...they're a bit young for those kinds of vices but I'll keep an eye on them nonetheless...lol.

DO THE STU- Married life is going great thanks, i'll get the photos on when i learn how to do it, i'm not very technical i'm afraid. Did you know the Snakes and Arrows tour is coming out on DVD and Blue Ray later in the month, looking forward to that. GOLDEN GIRL 2 - Thank you for saying hello and for your good wishes, we got married in Florida but i did have my Kilt on, and we had a Piper at our reception back home, thats as Scottish as we got i'm afraid, and i totally agree with you, you only get out of Marriage what you put in. I have a lot of family in California, they live in Cerritos and Downey around the L.A. area, is that close to you? Have a great day everyone.

Me again, forgot to say, I entered a competition to win a pair of tickets to see Opeth on our local Rock Radio station, just because i had nothing else in particular to do. Guess what? I won, i've never heard an Opeth tune in my puff.

Today confirms that I am NOT a morning person! Holy Canoli! My supervisor at work wants me to attend a "party" (Library Page Meeting for us shelvers in children's dept.) and I am swamped with paperwork, bills, a dirty house, a car in need of service and a billizion other things! OMG!!!!!!

Michelle--My fevah isn't fatal. It's just a desire to meet Joe's fans face-to-face, especially Al! ;) I will live and get over it unless my demonic selfish side wins!

SuperDave--My heart still goes out to you, Man!! What a sacrifice to have to sell such a valuable box! Also, your kids seem like normal young ones to me. The youngest are so excited about life they want to be awake as soon as possible to enjoy it. The teens are going through that point in life where raging hormones are taking over their bodies and it can be shocking and rather exhausting to them, so they need at least 9 or 10 hours sleep a night. The fact that you mentioned them on this posts shows that you are a caring father. What more could they ask for?

Campbell--I live in the San Francisco Bay area (Central California) which is nearly 400 miles away from Cerritos and Downey, which are in Southern California. I grew up in the L.A. area, Orange County and Imperial County. I moved up north to go to San Jose State University. Your Scottish--Florida wedding must have been a heavenly experience for you and your bride. Congratulations! Hope ya have many happy years together.

Slans--You are so right about Pro Musicians on tour having their lives together. AND the missess at home needs to have her life together as well. She needs to have a beautifully framed picture of her husband/boyfriend at her bedside. This is so important for staying bonded and in touch with the love of her life. Telephones are sooo important--mobiles especially. I wonder if land lines are going the way of the dinosaurs. Mr. Bell invented a great telecommunications device, but I'm not sure what he would think of the latest technology.

Castle 49---"Fire on the hill all night"? What are you talking about?

All the best to everyone at the next 2 Satch Shows! Have fun and safe travels.

Gotta get back to my other obligations. ;-D Thoroughly Golden Milli
