I just heard from all my peeps in Reno! They're having a great time, and even saw some of the bands members walking around the casino. I was talking to Tracie on the phone and she says to Joan "There's Galen! There! There! Right there in the black jacket!" but he walked past them before she had the chance to say anything. He prolly wasn't close enough for her to yell "HEY GALEN" like I know she wanted to. lol! T and Chris got Stu hugs, so that's always fun! I talked to T, her youngin' Chris, Joan, and the one and only Alan McKenna. lol! I love that guy ffs! lol! Austin and his dad and bro were there somewhere, and Joe Satrini but really Phil hadn't shown up yet. Hope he's okay and makes it in time. Al's having a great time and loves San Fransisco. Dammit I forgot to send him a kiss on the lips from London!

So anyways, CHEERS to friendship and all the peeps who are lucky enough to meet and get together for these shows, and CHEERS to Joe for having this great website to make it all possible!

It's an awesome night, and I'm not even there. lol!

It sucks that I have to work all weekend, cause T was gonna call me during the show and let me listen in like she always does :-) Joe prolly won't hit the stage till after midnight EST, and I have to get up at 5 am. Hopefully they'll leave me a few voice mails to wake up to. lol!

Either way... T got a new camera, so it's all on video *insert extreme grin here*

Shit man yeah! lmao!!

Hey Joe I was at your show in Orlando on Halloween. I`ve seen you before but that show was something special! The energy was incredible and Revelation was fantastic. I hope you post the video you shot of Mountain, yeah we know it was you creepin around stage. I was one of the poor fools who missed the 5:00 meet & greet and begged Lindsey for an after show meet. I can`t thank you enough for staying after the show and talking with us. I was trying to talk to you about the JS series guiartars but that drunk guy screwed it up, so if you have time what are thoughts on the JS 100? Thanks for the best show yet! Chad

Hi everyone.....

Reno gig was excellent, especially as I got to meet Cheese & son Chris, Do The Stu and family, Blue Moon, Mahavishnu (spelling), just joan, and some other nice couple (who were glad not to have crazy or drunk people by them...

I am KNACKERED.... it's actually 2am but my body says it's 10am UK time.... and I have to try an get up at 6 to make the plane to San Fran..... wish me luck!

Saw Galen & Mick as Austin an I walked through the casino, gave them the nod, not sure if mick double taked me, will ask him tomorrow hopefully

Michelle - I made it ok, it's just my flight got in around 5pm, then transfe to Casino etc so I was a good few hours behind everyone else. But they're all lookin out for me, lovely bunch. I think Al/Brian/Joan are still at the bar : )

Joan took a good pic of me & t & chris so hope to get hold of that one.

Golden Girl - if you're in the bay area are you not going to the Joe gig later today? If not, you could just go to the queue and get to meet your Blue Moon (and others)?

Satriella - really!? (new name)

Ok, that's it - am gonna try to sleep, then more joseph. I hope I made it onto your recording Joe, see you later

G'nite all

P.S Thanks to all the T2J'rs I hung out with tonight, it was gr8

Hmmm...I had a few things to say but it looks like some other people beat me to it. ;-) The T2J meet-up was nice...I'm sure I'll have more to say about these crazy people after the SF show, so I'll wait until then.

The Reno show was a bit shorter due to venue time constraints. Mountain played for 30 minutes instead of 45 and a few songs were dropped from Joe's set (Overdriver, Super Colossal, Cool #9). And I'm sorry michelle, but it was refreshing to go to a Satch show and not hear that last one... ;-)

I missed Overdriver a bit, but if I had to pick three songs to do without they probably would've been these three. The set flowed fine without them, and Joe seemed to have more energy for the middle third or so of the set.

That part of the show, Ghosts (love those melodies!) through Andalusia, is probably one of the best stretches of a Satch gig I've ever seen.

Joe's outro solo during Revelation was some of the best playing I've ever seen him do. I've seen that one three times now, and the improv there really reminds me of how he'd let loose on Starry Night back in the SBM days. The songs are different, of course, but the "free" feeling is there.

One Big Rush maybe have been the strongest version I've heard. Jeff went all-out mad on the drums during the intro, and Joe toyed with some of the melody lines in some cool ways...one of them toward the end of this song was him playing harmonics as a lead-in to the chorus...insane.

Time Machine in Reno was much stronger than the previous two nights...it seemed to have a dynamic quality that was missing at the other gigs. And Joe did this crazy improv bit on his whammy pedal at the end that he didn't really do in SD or LA. I loved it...it'd be neat to see him build off of it in SF.

Stu's solo was the best of the three I've seen this tour...it wasn't as sloppy (loose) as some of the bits in LA. He missed his harmonic toward the end, though. ;-)

Andalusia featured Jeff's strongest drumming of the night...he really got into what I call "Psycho Monkey"-mode in my head for some reason (I may have stolen that description from someone here; I don't know). The jam at the end seemed to stop just as it was getting good, unfortunately.

I rarely comment on the songs Joe plays all the time, but I will say that the tapping section of AWMAWY in Reno was probably the cleanest I've ever seen. But I do miss the ending jam.

Well, that's all for now...I need to get some sleep.

...Austin...

OMG---SOS

I have sad news:

Santa Clara police identified Jing Hua Wu, 47, of Mountain View as the man who shot two men and one woman with a handgun Friday at SiPort, a Santa Clara semiconductor company where he recently lost his job.

Please pray for Silicon Valley. We are in a sad place right now. Cops are all over the place---last night my husband was walking home from work when he saw at least 5 or 6 helicopters in the sky--one was hovering over a space near Freeway 101 (Bayshore Fwy).

This happened only a couple of miles north of where we live in the City of Santa Clara, CA.

On a brighter note. The two of us went to a local nightclub to see Tony Lindsay Band (lead singer of Santana). We had a great time and met another couple who we sat with at a table.

I am listening to Joe's LIGHTS OF HEAVEN and SECRET PRAYER for comfort and grounding. I feel sad and pray that the cops find the murderer. Oh, God!! Justice must prevail!!

Castle49--I apologize for my dullness. I just saw vid on the news last night of the horrible fire in SB. If ever there was a time for prayer of the deepest kind, it is now. We are all human and I feel my need for the divine, the spiritual, as I'm sure many people do.

My sincere wishes for SB's recovery.

Wahoo... made it back to the airport... a lot cleaner getting sorted than yesterday, but what's with charging for baggage guys? Still, you've given me free wi-fi so.....

I need a sleep though, the few hours before having to get up and get to the airport were far from enoughh

Do The Stu - hey, who you bu calling crazy LOL no crazy talk until after they let me into Club Joe : ) Great to meet you yesterday, sorry I missed you after the gig. Was it anyone we know playing Leslie's Guitar?

Great gig review too, you sure picked up on a lot, I was so into it (and also so much of a zombie) to recall that much detail. Overall I though the set was great, disappointed to see overdriver go but I take your point, and am hoping for a fuller set list today, hey and maybe extras??

Love that Stu has a sign now - is that a US leg addition, or new for last nite or? The people next to me wanted to know why everyone was being so awful and booing : )

See you later!

Just Joan / Mahavishnu - I realised thismorning (at the point of passing the tourbuses) that we sent that poor guy outside and chances are no one went to the buses as they were all staying the night. Ooops!

Keniko - hey, not sure if you saw my post a while back but I wondered what tubes you have in your JSX and what's the differenc between the two types?

Joe Satrini - No, I don't think we know the person playing Leslie's guitar...I don't think any of us were sitting that close in the center.

I thought the Stu sign was really funny, but only because of something I forgot to mention...they didn't have the full-on light show in Reno like they will tonight in SF. So you'll see what the sign was a replacement for...

I heard quite a few "boo"s mixed in with the "Stuuu"s last night. I don't know why people have so much trouble understanding that if a name has an "ooo" sound in it, you chant their name as a cheer. Easy.

Well, it's time to get ready for SF. I'll probably be leaving in an hour or so. Tracie and the rest of the gang should be well on their way to the city by now...they should be in Sacramento (?) by about now.

Castle49--I'm grateful you are out of danger now. I turned on the TV and saw footage of the Sylmar fire south of you. It would be great if the winds would calm so the firefighters can get the upper hand.

DoTheStu--Thank you for the great concert reviews. You have a great way of describing all the goings on and interpreting the atmosphere of the gigs. Please, keep it going.

Michelle and Tracie--As much as I would like to go up to SF tonight, it just isn't logistically possible. I will be with you in spirit.

mikesb--Thanks, man, for the vids of Andy Timmons. He looks and sounds like he has a very promising future. Great guitar tones.
