Thx Anibur
I didn't know the thing about the credit in his mail box was in the Satch Tapes text. I first heard about it in the Living Legends Music interview link that Cheese posted. Now is funny to realize what was in the cradle of "Not of this Earth", but I guess it was not so funny to Joe by that time.

This hasn't hit the wires yet, but Page and Plant drummer Michael Lee was found dead this morning. He also played drums in Thin Lizzy for a while...he was with them when they did the tour with Satch and Deep Purple in 2004. RIP...

Here's a blog item with some video clips:
Drummer Michael Lee has died

Here's an MP3 of a performance of an otherwise unreleased Jimmy Page song, Domino, with Michael Lee on drums...from Net Aid on 10/9/99:
http://alewis525.googlepages.com/dominolive.mp3

I'll post something more official as soon as I find it.

hybes - The Buckethead co-written songs on Chinese Democracy are Shackler's Revenge, Scraped, and Sorry. The first two sound very Buckethead-esque, and the last one is pretty different (it's a ballad).

I don't know exactly why he left the band, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was his doing...Axl doesn't seem like the easiest person to get along with. ;-) I think it was all on good terms though...otherwise, Axl would've had someone else re-record his guitar parts.

I did see Buckethead in concert the other night, yes. I'll elaborate on that in another post though...for now I'll catch up with the rest of what's on the board here.

Wholi - Cool...thanks for sharing those pictures. I was at that gig as well, front and center on the rail, so my head is probably in some of those. ;-)

Joe, Thanks for posting man. Great to hear from you. I hope everything went well on all of your tours. What were some of the highlights of your tour? If possible, do you think you can stop at Fort Wayne, Indiana for a concert? If so, that will be awesome and I will like to meet you as well. My best friend has a JS100 Guitar in white (which I gave him for his birthday). He is a fan of yours.

Did you really sign those guitars benefitting the United Firefighters of America? If so, that is awesome, you have done so many good deeds to people around the world. Keep up the good work. If there is any other charity work or if you are raising money for anything, I'd be happy to help you out.

I was tempted on placing a bid on one of those guitars, but I can't. I hope those guitars help raise a lot of money.

Cheese 101: Those guitars on E-Bay are cool! Thank you for posting them. How are you doing?

To Everyone: How is life going with all of you? I hope you all have a safe and great Thanksgiving Holiday.

Joe, hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Tell everyone hi.

Gotta go, meeting up with some friends to hang out. See ya!!!

Joe,

It turns out I am not your greatest fan--DO THE STU is!! He has the insight, foresight, hindsight and all around sight that I lack. Even though he is only in his 20s, he has surpassed this old 50ish fan in attendance at concerts and all around interviewer experience. In fact I blush to say I haven't attended any of your concerts AND TRIED TO MAKE UP FOR IT BY PURCHASING YOUR CDs! WHAT A FAILURE I AM AS A FAN!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME. I am also learning that Tracie and Michelle are tied for second place as greatest fans of Joe Satriani. This I learned from browsing the website and I AM THREE YEARS TOOO LATE!! OR IS IT 20 YEARS TOO LATE!!!

I may be one of the many reasons you left NY and came out to CA--my goldenness is a shining beacon to the great golden state. Although my golden hair has lost its shine over the past 20 some years due to the tarnish of brownness, some gray hairs and years of isolation!!

I promise to awake out of my dull dweebishness and grow into an appropriate lowly place as your most meek fan. I bow before DO THE STU, Tracie, Michelle, Maritime, Igneousiceman, Cappy Steve, mikesb, slanshroom, Guitarman77897, SuperDave, Ibanezplr, Blue_Moon, hybes, cosmic_ape, castle49,...............................

AND I PROMISE TO ATTEND A CONCERT NEXT TIME YOU ARE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

I AM STILL BLUSHING WITH EMBARRASSMENT FOR NEGLECTING MY DUTIES AS A FAN!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME...

GoldenGirl2: That makes two of us. I have never been to a Joe concert. Hopefully the both of us will get the chance to see Joe perform. ; - )

Blue_Moon/McKenna: Wow, you have too much fun. : - )

Do The Stu: What's up man? Now that your adventures to see Joe has ended, what will your next adventure be?

Michelle & Cheese 101 (Tracie): How are you girls doing? Now that Thanksgiving is coming up, I think you are thankful for meeting Joe, huh? : - )

SuperDaveMcCarthy: How cool that you got a Vox Satchurator. I am thinking of buying one for my friend for the Holidays. What do you think? How is your family doing? Any plans for Thanksgiving?

js1200js1000: How are you and your family doing?

Everyone, I need your opinion. Should I buy the Vox Satchurator or not? I already got my best friend a JS100 in white. What do you all think?

Well, I better stop now. Going to read and then go to sleep. Good night everybody.

well cop chicks a long story, and she may be even reading this! theres some pictures that eplain it better but i didnt even try n look at my pictures yet, ive 4gb's of pics and videos gona take forever to go through and resize...

and i tried out some overdrive pedals the other week settled on the fulltone fulldrive 2, wasnt impressed with the satchurator at all, it was just more gain and less features and warmth than the fulltone, but it was much more harmonicly responsive which was a nicer featur but yeah prefared the fulltone :)

had a dream last night i was in a tall building in an earthquake, lovely :| amongst other f'd up things

It's RAINING in Southern California! This would've been awesome a week or two ago because it would've limited the fires, but it's great now too. Unfortunately, though, residents near the areas that burned now have to worry about mudslides...

Glitz Man - The autographs on those guitars look like Joe to me...I'd say they're legit. Although the location of the signatures makes me think that he may have only been autographing pick guards without seeing the actual guitars...one of the signatures runs into the hole where the pick guard is screwed into the guitar, which I don't think is something Joe would have done had the entire guitar been there as he signed. I don't know for sure, but it doesn't really matter...it's cool that he's helping out.

Anyway...I have a few weeks of a "normal" schedule before my next road trip. It involves three concerts, but thankfully they're all in the same city. ;-) I'm seeing the Black Crowes at the Fillmore in San Francisco on 12/18, 12/19, and 12/20. Like my last trip, this one will also be worked into a vacation to spend some time with my family up north.

I have to work Thanksgiving and Christmas, which I guess is fine, but that's why I've planned these short vacations at the end of the year.

GoldenGirl2 - Thanks for the kind words, but I'm just a fan like everyone else. ;-) It's never too late to get into Joe's music, so don't let age get in your way...maybe things will work out so you (and your husband?) can make it to a Satch gig on the next tour...
Blue_Moon - I want my aftershow pictures! ;-) Just send the hi-res ones; don't waste time resizing them...haha.

How's it feel to be back in boring old Ireland? I don't mean to make light of the situation, but there was a shooting at the Scientology Center in Hollywood just around the corner from your hostel shortly after you left. Some nutcase had walked up to the center armed with some swords and was threatening people until he was shot and killed by a security guard. So you just missed some crime.

And Problem Child 2 is an awesome movie...I watched that a million times when I was younger, way before I knew anything about Satch being on the soundtrack.

I guess I didn't get a placing in the fan finish as I can't find time to enter stuff. I'm averaging a new CD or album per day now and just cannot find time to update the site.

I swear I still have probably half the collection to enter.

Actually, theres a couple of things I am trying to get and willl probably have next year. I'll post info when they arrive and then we'll do a re-count of the fan stakes.

I'll take $50 on me to win or place at 2-1 odds.
