TIKIMON- your link works but the others don't. i see you like motorcycles. have you ever watched those two guys on the history channel (i think) who learn all the different fighting styles. they just had one with MMA. forgot what it stands for, mixture of martial arts i think. how is the bar thing going?

well, i leave for chicago on the 16th. finally, going back it will take about 12 weeks for the shipping container to arrive. so i will be out of touch for awhile. it will be nice when i can settle down in my own place again. the only car i didn't sell was my 2002 TA. i hope i can take her for a spin when i get home. with my luck it will start snowing. HEY any cheeseheads out there? whats the weather like. DA BEARS!!sigh...

i think your past out by now. goodnight everyone.

Hey guys,

SuperDaveMcCarthy, death cube k, js1200js1000, Do the Stu, michelle, GoldenGirl2, Guitarman77897, tikimon, and everyone:

Just got back from running the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis. It was a 5K (3.1 miles) Run. It was cold and windy. Here is how I did:

Time: 19:14 Place: 19th out of 193 Age Division: 1st

This was not one of my best races, but oh well. My next race will be November 22nd. This will be my last points race for the year.

SuperDaveMcCarthy: Check your e-mail when you get a chance. Hope everything works out man.

death cube k: Thanks. I usually keep my singing to a minimum. I usually do not let anyone listen to me sing; I'm more of a "private" person. I only sing when I feel like it or if there is a song on the radio that I enjoy listening to. I think we will be getting snow here real soon. Where are you from actually? Do you play guitar or anything?

js1200js1000: Thank you for the "hello" from your mother. I hope you two enjoy doing great stuff together. It is getting cold and windy down here in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

michelle: Hi there, and I hoped that you and Dave had a wonderful anniversary together. What did you guys do?

Well, I better rest now. I got today and tomorrow off. Therefore, I can get cleaning, laundry, and errands done. Talk with you all later.

Dear Joe and Others!

As I sit down here this afternoon I find my heart is absolutely elated! Tonight is the show at the Dodge Theater here in Phoenix and I’m so going! I have also been blessed beyond belief at winning After Show passes and THAT is why I wanted to come here this afternoon and share with you something truly amazing in my life, that YOU all play a huge part in.

Joe, I remember first seeing you and learning of your music in 1990 while I was stationed in the Army, in beautiful Germany. I saw you at a venue called The Longhorn in Stuttgart. Met you and the others at the time and it has forever impacted me. Your music entered my life at a time it was most needed… placement of a child I had for adoption, WAR, fears, pains, strength, love, marriage and some of the best times of my life. Since that time, I have maybe missed a “handful” of shows in whatever area it was that I had been living. I have been so fortunate to have met you a few times… 2000 at The Sun Theater, Tucson, Phoenix, LA… Point is… I have always attended whatever show I could of yours and “made it happen” no matter what! Your music became my passion.

About 4 years ago I suffered from my first ever anxiety panic attack. I made the difficult and painful decision to not attend your shows when you came here to Phoenix. It killed me to do so but fear totally gripped me and I did more than my share of crying out to a higher power. I would fight and take the “baby steps” needed but ultimately ended up NOT going. I would, however, send my girls, Chelsea and Stephanie to any show or Meet and Greet. They have been stoked for that opportunity and for that, I can sit here and smile today!

So on to the present… I have listed my name on the attendance list for the past few months now, not certain if I was going to go or not but SO knew that “that” alone was a huge step for me. The past four years I had no desire to even entertain the idea of going to show, so for me to step out in FAITH THIS time, it was an amazing feeling for me.

Even with this faith, I still had not committed to really going. I have sort of just pushed it under the carpet until this past Monday when reality hit me smack dab in the face… “Joe’s in less than a week. What the hell are you gonna do?” So I prayed and cried and got through Monday. TUESDAY… wake up, get the teen daughters ready for school, and check my email and BAM! There is an email from this website! Holy shit! As I read the first words… “I’m happy to tell you…” I lost it! I started to kinda scream, hahaha, and read on to where I was notified that I was “randomly” drawn to win back stage passes for the show that I still wasn’t sure I was going to attend!!! Random, I think not at this point. It was just the thing to motivate me to try and go to tonight’s show.

I must tell you that I live only 12 miles from the Dodge Theater, but I have not gone “down” into that area for perhaps the past two years… out of fear. Last night (Saturday), I made the drive, for the first time in years, to the Dodge Theater. Got out of the turck, walked to the doors and cried a bit. =] Total VICTORY. I had PSATMOR on the entire time and it REALLY settled my SOUL.

So, TONIGHT, I’m attending the show with my daughters and husband. I’ll be in a wheelchair for safety reasons, but my heart and soul will be soaring!!!! Fear will NOT grip me tonight. I am determined and so thankful for all the events that led up to this. I don’t believe it was a coincidence that I was “randomly” picked for the back stage passes… NOPE, sorry, it was meant to be.

Thank you for allowing me to share my heart and story! I can’t wait to sit back, relax and enjoy your music that so touches me.

Welcome to Phoenix and see you all tonight!

LMAO, that was funny.

Have a good trip Blue Moon. See you, Cheese, Do The Stu, and more there

Mark Hybers,

I'm sorry to hear you missed the Thursday night Satch Show. I hope you get that pinched nerve taken care of and regain the mobility and strength in your arm very soon.

I think petrol prices across the US are coming down, even in the SF Bay area.

Igneousiceman--I agree, Robin Trower does have one of the fattest tones in the business.

Maritime--You must have had the best education in the Netherlands. Your knowledge and understanding of the world of music and other topics is awesome!

Michelle,

Thanks so much for your contribution of Argent's "Hold Your Head Up". It remember listening to that when I lived in Orange County, listening to KRLA, Pasadena. I don't think that radio station exists anymore. That was a looooonnng time ago!

Bubbles---I know what you mean about panic attacks. I have depression and have to take 2 antidepressants every day. I was so anxious a few years ago, I couldn't drive to southern california to visit my mom. I drove as far as Bakersfield and had to turn around and drive back north! My husband was with me and wanted me to feel better and held my hand all the way home! Take heart, bubbles. You have lots of support here.

Oh GoldenGirl! Thank you so much for your sweet response to my post. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for sharing with me. I, too, have not been able to visit my mom and family in Southern Ca. for the past almost 3 years. Getting in a moving vehicle when your dizzy doesn't help at all. hahaha! After tonight, I am going to try and make the trip... baby steps... or BIG steps! =]
