So Joe you do check into T2J! I thought that was highly unlikely. I watched the live YT event and chatted with some peeps in the chat room, it was good fun, but way too short :0).

fatape - another Aussie, fantastic.

roo - any more details of the proposed Aussie tour, I'd better start saving now.....

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the blue!

I have a proposal--Would it be possible to check you out of a branch of San Francisco Public Library as a "living book"? Santa Monica, CA's public library had a special day in October when visitors to the library could check out any of 14 people for up to 30 minutes. These people came from all walks of life and I'm sure the patrons learned lots about their life styles and careers. Maybe Jeff Campitelli, Stu and Galen could participate, too. Also, Mike Manning?..... Maybe other San Francisco Bay Area Musicians (e.g., Greg Kihn) could take part as well.

I would love to find out what you think of this arrangement.

Thanks for your soulful sound and beautiful music!

Milli or GoldenGirl2

Michelle--You sure know how to pick some great links! SRV playing Hendrix is heaven!

The Korean guitar player sounds like a true disciple.

Joe checked in with us and that is also heaven!!

I am floating on a fluffy blue cloud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a state of mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slans--I also love THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME and OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY. My favorite Zep album is IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR.

A couple of people have whined about Satch on rhythm guitar. Are you guys NUTS!

I was listening to the youtube live thing and could hear brilliance in the way Joe played. I must admit I think funtwo must have been sooooo nervous, hell I couldn't try to play lead like that with Satch and the rest in front of thousands, alll power to him, you guys are just jealous.

:)

I was listening to Joe play in the background too, and he rocked it! That was the best damn rhythm guitar ever! lol! Actually, Galen plays some pretty kick ass rhythm guitar himself! He feckin' rocks! Tour manager my ass, he up to something! LOL! A man don't frost his tips for no reason. He's a rock star!

wooo! I made a roo samish!

Millie....actually I think that's a kinda cool idea...for Joe or any of the guys...who have you had do this in the past, like anyone we would reckanize? Is it a fund-raiser kind of thing, raising monies for the library?

Oh, and did you happen to see my son up there on that blue cloud? It's where he's been since last Tuesday, LOL....

Awww, I wanna get in on the chelle-sammish.....

Roo...I agree with you completely. Joe played with style and class and KILLED the song, lol!! I was thinking, as I've watched it about a half a dozen times at least already, that if that's any indication of the background guitar work Joe is going to do with Chickenfoot, we're in for a treat...but then...it's Joe, so of course!! My only complaint about the whole thing was it was too damn short. Mo' Joe!

It's 8:30 here, so Mckenna has been in the air fer 6 and a half hours or so by now...bet his bumzie is sore if he dint get to lay down. Sigh.....how soon can we do it all again?

Hi, Joe,

I read this poem and thought of you- particularly because of the Andalusian leanings on your latest album. By the way, I enjoyed your last show at The Warfield.

Here's the poem:

The Guitar Federico García Lorca Translated by Cola Franzen

The weeping of the guitar begins. The goblets of dawn are smashed. The weeping of the guitar begins. Useless to silence it. Impossible to silence it. It weeps monotonously as water weeps as the wind weeps over snowfields. Impossible to silence it. It weeps for distant things. Hot southern sands yearning for white camellias. Weeps arrow without target evening without morning and the first dead bird on the branch. Oh, guitar! Heart mortally wounded by five swords.

Continued success to you, Joe, DBK

cheese101: that's what I was alluding to. I know Chickenfoot is going to absolutely rock! Advance warning: I am gonna be leaning on all my contacts for backstage/aftershow passes for those shows!

I think it was an omen, after the talk about Martial Arts on here, I pulled out my uniform to iron it before class and there was a spot that had folded while it was in the laundry and it was shaped exactly like a chickenfoot! Weird. I couldn't even iron it out!

do de do do, do de do do (Twilight zone music).

thanks for the chelle-wich. ANyone who get's the chance, I thoroughly recommend it.

DATE LINE: SANTA MONICA, Calif., October 17, 2008 4:10 PM EDT "Santa Monica library offers books that talk back" by JOHN ROGERS (Associated Press Writer) From AP

You know those people you can read just like a book?

Well, on Saturday you will be able to borrow one of them when this city turns its main library into a "Living Library."

Fourteen "living books" will be on hand in this trendy, liberal city, representing an encyclopedia of knowledge on such subjects as nudism, Buddhism and foodism. That's because one of them is a real, live nudist, two are Buddhists and another is a vegan.......

TRACIE S--The above is a very abreviated version of the article sent to me by a Librarian friend from North Carolina. How ironic, an out-of-state friend has to send me an article from southern California to a Californian (living 50 miles south of San Fran.)!! Santa Clara, btw borders San Jose OR SAINT JOSEPH!! OOOOH! What a sentimentalist I am........

I will find the whole article and post it to better shed light on this concept. I myself have never participated in this sort of thing. I hesitate to approach my dept. manager until I get a green light from Satch.

How fortunate we all are to find Joe who has grown into a higher level of musicianship and guitar mastery!! We are all the better for this discovery.

Good night everyone.

Milli, the late Joe the art and photography teacher's Golden Girl and No. 2 daughter.

Cube:The keeley works great at the end of the fx chain ie b4 delay rev unless y want that ducker effect but after dist eq etc the boss CS3 imo works better at the start of the chain, defo has something do with the attack knob.Cs3 settings i use are level 3 oclock tone 7 attack full sustain full n because the level & pickups are dropped so much i still get note dynamics & articulation but with that smooth soul y dont get without the pedal, it also makes legato stuff a flowing breeze.Like i said i,m using 3 different comps with various settings in the fx chain the guitar practically plays by itself.Brent Mason said the same! cool, thought i was on my own there helluva playa Mr Mason

GG:Man so many great Zep tracks, what happened t creativity like that in bands these days?
