I don't want to get sucked into the MArts discussion, but I thought I'd mention the boy (I think he was 9 or so? This was 10 years ago), that could do hand-stand pushups.

Not too amazing I guess, just that this was only on each INDEX FINGER.

I have photos of it, it's pretty amazing, he's just inverted on two index fingers holding up his entire body.

People just cannot understand what they are actually capable of. Losing 100Kg in a weight-loss system and then winning a marathon is nothing. The power behind us all is there, a balance between yin and yang, energy, that flows through us all. People call it different things, but just because you cannot see it, or understand it, or even comprehend it's possible, doesn't mean it's not there.

In the immortal words of the boy on "the santa claus" talking to Neil. "Have you ever seen a million dollars?".. "No"... "Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist".

Joe probably said "HI, I'm Joe" and Rubina said "Hey, I'm Rubina".

From that moment on they called each other Jim-Bob and Ethel. They eventually married and had a boy and named him Jasper, but they call him Natty Dread.

They live in a small village among the village people, and you can see them on weekends at the YMCA. That's where Jim-Bob walks around dressed like Inspector Clouseau and gets ideas for his fiddle pickin' songs. Ethel and Natty Dread use the table at the main entrance to sell their wares to the people of the village.

It's been that way for years.

SkippyGirl--I hope I can get a guitar for Christmas. I am searching for beginning guitar instruction books to learn how to tune a guitar, name all 6 strings by letter and get the feel of playing. The last string instrument I played was a violin--a high maintenance instrument. I played in orchestra class when I was in grade school until my 3rd year in high school. I had other interests at that time and didn't think I was that good anyway. I haven't played an instrument since, except for piano when I took lessons for a summer immediately after my senior year.

I hope you find a good beginner's acoustic guitar with all the stuff that goes with it and an instruction book. You may consider taking lessons after you set a daily routine for practicing. I recall someone said practicing 15 minutes a day is better than practicing 2 hours a week, but in my dullness and illness I don't remeber who.

Guitarman77897--It doesn't surprise me that you ceased to have pain while playing guitar. Guitars are super therapists and they take you to a 'place" where no hurt exists.

Slanshroom--I thought dangling bits were supposed to be kept in a supportive cup while exercising in martial arts. Well...I just learned something new and very different!! I don't think I will try the Shaolin way on my boobs, thank you very much!!

Igneousiceman--Great Jackson Browne music. I enjoyed hearing "Barricades of Heaven."

Tostado--Yes. You bring up a good question for Joe. I'm sure he would briefly tell you the story of he and his wife and what attracted him to her and her to him. What attracts one to one's future/present spouse is a curious thing and fascinates me no end.

Michelle--I hadn't heard of TWLOHA until you brought it up. What a great way to affirm that we are valuable and precious because someone loves us--ourselves!! GGirl, I think of myself as more of a silly cow than a Goddess, but I guess cows are sacred in some cultures, so round it goes. lol! Chris, who won the lesson, is Tracie's (cheese 101) son. My son is a bass player. I'm thinking that if anyone should get major kudos, it should be Tracie. She did so many things to get all her lil' ducklings to those 2 Satch shows - and she now has a feckin' Irish accent to boot! lmao! I don't know where she finds the time or the energy. She's the Goddess of T2J IMO. If she would have had internet access over this past week, she prolly would have replied to yer posts just as I did. Thanks for the nice words. I know the twloha deal is mostly oriented to teens, but as we know, no matter how old you are, yer sometimes still fighting the same demons you had back in the day.

T-Bone is on her 9 hour drive home. She has a bit to go yet, and still hasn't gotten to that dreaded pass. She wanted to get past that point before dark, but at last text, she wasn't there yet and the sun was setting.

Joe, I was at your show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. It was awesome. I am only ashamed that I am just now learning how great a player Leslie West is. Me and my friend were two of the five people standing bu your bus when you left. THANK YOU SO MUCH for stopping and signing autographs and taking pictures. Since your show I am playing my guitar like a madman. You ROCK!!!!!!!

Joe, Thanks for the show in Reno, NV. Thought the mix with Leslie was a great thing. Couple of friends and I attended the show and we all have seen you here and there over the years. Fun show as always. Dates for Vegas and Reno next year?? Can't wait for more from the professor. Take care and thanks for the music we all love and enjoy.

Anyone at the SF show last Saturday night remember the song list in the order played? I took a friend to the show and he wasn't real familiar with Joe's music. He was however, blown away by the performance and wanted to know what songs were played. All I can remember is that it started with 'I Just Wanna Rock' and ended with 'Summer Song'.

I remember these:

I know I'm missing a few songs. If anyone who went to the SF show can help me fill in the blanks and what order they were played, it would be greatly appreciated.
