Here is one thing to ponder..........Jimmy Buffet NEVER won a grammmy until he did that song with Alan Jackson. Did Jimmy need that to validate his career??? Did Jimmy ever have a problem selling tickets??? True fans support true music, as is the case with Joe. I don't think he needs a Grammy to cement his place in history. God knows his fans are loyal as hell and everyone should know that he is at the top of his game.

From the new album, Revelation is good, but for some reason after hearing Joe explain the thought process behind Ghost, that is my hands down favorite.

im sure ill be ok!

everyone here is going across the border to get their christmas shopping done, some places are advertising €1 = £1 ...so lots of sales to be made, the Primeminister is saying its not Patriotic to do it, but i don't think its stopping anyone, hmm its interesting cause VAT is increased here to 21.5% and it went down in the U.K so its 15% up there aswell as the Weak sterling rate, SO, the country is gona be even more fucked up, lovely

So T. Safley i may be able to spend your sterling that you gave me after all, i'd make a killing

Joes taking em on,

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7766683.stm

well hope you get what you want man, having had a fight with emi in the past I know how down right dirty it can get.

getting fed up of people ripping stuff off, well done for standing your ground regardless of the outcome.

as a photographer I get my stuff ripped off all the time. its well annoying, hope it all goes well and as its been filed so obviously no one up for comment, keep it under your belt man.

coldplay vs joe satriani one I thought I'd have never heard, but hey both at the top of their game, Joe being alot more friendly than the other, have met both on several occasions over the years.

hope you get some good kick back publicity from this joe.

peace

Strewth, is this court action thing for real or just journo's jumping on something?

Joe - if you need to show president for Coldplay doing this before, then I suggest you compare their X & Y album track called "Talk" which has an opening guitar riff undoubtedly taken from the band Kraftwerks song "Computer".

I spotted that as soon as I heard the song (my Dad played me the Kraftwerk song when I was very young)

I know they acknowledge where the track came from given I saw them play it live somewhere wearing Kraftwerk t-shirts.

Whether they had permission or not I don't know, but it shows they've used other peoples music as a basis before.

There's also a mention of Depeche Modes Strange Love turning into Coldplays life in Technicolour and so on and so on....

Hope that helps

Oh, actually here's an article on that here and I'm sure you can find lots more stuff on it

Good luck
Phil

Good grief Mc, you DEFINITELY have a fever!! GIT BACK TO BED!!!

Although....that's such a cheerful song....if it makes u feel better, then I guess you should go for it :) Spend the sterling Mc...the euros....whatever....make a small child happy, lol....it WAS a fortune in coins, after all :D

Joe....I believe you wouldn't waste your time pursuing anything frivolous when it comes to your career. You seem to have been quite serious about that aspect of your life from a very early age, from the things you have said in interviews. This lawsuit is likely to be a long and difficult battle for you, judging by the way the court system operates these days. My, and I'm sure many others' good thoughts and prayers will go with you as you take on this fight for what is right. Justice does have a way of prevailing, eventually...I hope for you that justice is served sooner, rather than later. Much good luck on this Joe....you know we love ya and are always behind you 100%.

Hi Joe. I've been your fan since 1994. I have every single record. I've heard you play live. Your work has been inspiration for so many of my own works and deeds. I also respected and enjoyed work of Coldplay since their beginnings. If this what I just read about suing Coldplay for "If You Could Fly" - "Viva La Vida" issue is true; I'd just like to tell you that you are making a mistake. Even if there is similartiy. Even if it was "too similar". I would be proud of if it, if I was in your place. And with all due respect, I would advise to take your time and put it in a new record.
