Railton: congrats on the new js1200. It must be a killer guitar. I wish it wasn't the holidays so I could go look for a new Ibanez. My fiance would probably get a bit upset if I came home with a new guitar this close to christmas. But I guess I did just get a new epiphone prestige acoustic in october. Very nice sound!

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

This whole lawsuit thing is such a pathetic publicity stunt. With all due respect, some old fart saw an opportunity to get his face on the cover of the magazines... yay.

Maritime--I forgive you and I'm sure Joe would also. This CP vs. Joe case is in chaos right now. The attorneys are the happy ones now. I know it was painful to do what you did--it doesn't mean in the least that you agree with CP. I am extremely disappointed in those guys for refusing to talk to Joe and his counsel. Then they think they can release a statement to the press and that lets them off the hook? Cowards! I hope "Viva la vida" is pulled from the Grammy Awards and Joe's "If I could fly" is chosen instead--wouldn't that be justice?!

Oh, Joe, I am so glad you have Rubina and ZZ and your sisters and brother as well as all your fans to stand by you during this bizarre chapter. May you have lots and lots of time to spend with your sweet wonderful family.

Great ordinary people like yourself have walked this road before--Florence Nightengale, Clara Barton, Mary Baker Eddy (OK 18th and 19th century people) but no less as noble as you and I hope you find the inspiration, grounding and zen that you so richly deserve. AND I KNOW IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY--THAT IS THE HONEST TO GOD TRUTH!!!

Oh dear a few nasty invaders.........they must think Joe actually reads T2J.

42 - how are ya? Another Aussie for the Satch team - woo hoo. Tell us about yourself and what your favourite Satch album is.

The office Xmas party is tonight and its always a biggie. The theme is "Musicals" and EVERYONE dresses up so I'm going as Shane Warne - our famous Aussie cricketer-louse who now has a musical about him.

So I know I won't be making the bike ride tomorrow morning.....

Have a great weekend all peeps, including birthday babies, Al McKenna (where are the photos you half-naked???), and all Satch-lovers.

Is that you joe?

Got to say i have been troubled since last Friday on hearing about the file for court. Today has been the betterday. Firt radio show this morning (BBC Radio 2) Ssrah Kennedy read from the newspapers and was carefull to pronounce joe's surname .. sat ri an i In the next show Ken Bruce , with tonge in cheek, seemed to say that he was responsible for the whole thing because he played the two songs back to back in a previous show. The best i can find is reference to it on 26 june this year. Then in a later show a lady from Andalusia called in to about how things were in Spain. I'm gonna lighten up.

Joe, Just a note to say I'm with you on the Coldplay issue. Total ripoff doesn't come close! If I Could is a beautiful song, one of your best in fact, and it is plain wrong for someone else to claim credit for work done by someone else. I read somewhere that you were only doing it to get publicity off the back of Coldplay. Which planet are these people from?! In the world of real music, Coldplay are not on the radar. There is no doubt that with every album you wite, the music just gets better and better, for me Satchafunkilus is pure genius. Having said that, the last 5 albums are essential listening, and have almost lead me to divorce! Please tour the Uk again soon,as I could only take one of my sons to Manchester Apollo this year, and my other son is driving me mad asking when we are going to see you again!!!

Evenin all,

andy, press return twice !

anyone heard COPYLLAD, sorry COLDPLAY's latest track, What the hell does it sound like, it's got this melody like answering the chorus lines that sounds like somethin else, No I'm not being sarcastic,

I feel for Joe though, I feel like this is gonna drag on but I really hope it doesn't go sour. We can see how CP are approaching this from their statement. accidental reproduction? should've used protection.

love to all

just dropped in to say hi and mention i had to post a comment on utube. i was listening to if i coudl fly and was reading some of the comments and got pissed. some of these idiots don't know shit about music.

on another note i have to confess something. some guy came on the radio and requested a song by satch but didn't know the name of the song. so he starts going wah wah wah wah-wah. i was like i should be able to guess this. i KNOW THIS well, NOT. it was crush of love. DJ says it was off the Time Machine release. i never realized i didn't have that song in my collection.I thought time machine was a best of album when i saw it a few years ago. since i have been on this web site i realized it had some new tracks but not a whole CD's worth. i hate buying stuff twice. the upside it is live. i splurged ($7.98) or therabouts for a used copy from amazon. well now i have a whole new album of joes stuff to hear.

Evil5DC- hope i got your name right. sounded real good here. keep up the good work. never tried playing that one. have to listen to that one again. nice groove to it.

Skippygirl: I am in question if I should do that 5K race this Saturday. I'll let you know A.S.A.P.

To everybody else: How has it been with all of you? The temperatures are warming up here (for now). Work is going really well. We have had some Christmas parties already for a few businesses.

Hey, I placed a bid on that Christmas ornament that Joe signed and I won it!!! WOOHOO!!!

Talk with you all later. Keep in touch everyone. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Coldplay trolls - read this!

I guess some people just don't mind getting pissed on? That's what it seems like to me. If you have a child, and someone takes that child, changes it's outfit, gives it a hair cut, and slaps a Barney backpack on it's back then states "This is my child now! It looks nothing like the child you had" would it be? Would you just go.."Well yer right, it doesn't look like my child anymore, so I guess it's yours", or would you say "Back up bitch and give me my child!" Same kid with different clothes and hair cut. Same song with different overlays and lyrics.

I guess some people are easily fooled by smoke and mirrors.

Joe knows his way inside and out when it comes to musicology. I know he's done everything in his power to have this resolved without taking this wanker to court. Since the dude doesn't have the courage to say he stole Joe's song, Joe had to stand up and do what's RIGHT.

I want my baby back, baby back, baby back Chris.

lol!

Having slogged through all the YouTube comments, I still have to resist the urge to educate some of those who comment on the news story. My take is that the lawsuit is designed/destined to get the lawyers and their clients to the table to negotiate a settlement.

This was an interesting article: Satriani vs Coldplay: what do lawyers say?

http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/satriani-vs-coldplay-what-do-lawyers-say-186826

lorenzo001: I consider Time Machine a MUST HAVE ~ this was the cd that convinced me I simply HAD to own the entire calogue of Joe's music ~ one listen and I was BOUGHT AND SOLD ~ full stop

...peaceLove&Bailey's...

~Faye

p.s. don't feed the trolls!
