My humble contribution to get you into a mess: If I were you I would first buy "Flying in a Blue Dream", and second "The Extremist". Don't miss the red one "Joe Satriani" if you like the bluessy Satch...and little by little...all of them ! LOL

Riviera_Grande - he played the Forum in Melbourne which is a great venue for live acts, so lets hope you can be there next time too.
Glitzy - I am in a world of pain today - went out at 7 am with a group of gals and we rode 30kms down our local bike path - felt great to finish it (2 hrs) but OMG we went to a party tonight and I couldn't even stand up!!! Had to sit down (well the heels didn't help) - I am anticipating much stiffness tomorrow.
Luckily Melbourne has a fantastic network of bike paths criss-crossing the urban area so you ride through bush and along rivers etc it is really nice early in the morning but the hills, aaarrgghhh the hills!

Just spent 2.5 hours playing my JS2K Crystal Planet. Love that guitar, the sustain is incredible and it's such a full warm sound. played heaps of stuff from every album, sorta was in a ballad mood and musthav played Ten Words about 10 times... So easy to get lost in time picking up the guitar.
Guess what was on last night? REVENGE OF THE NERDS! I was ROTFLMAO! Hair Pie, Hair Pie! - what a classic. Whoever had said 80's Joe was Booger is mean bastard, I couldn't get the image out of my head when Booger was dancing with the Moo girls with a crazy face and says "Damn, you moos sure can party!"... LMAO! I also thought Ogre reminded me of Stu! So I started looking for Jeff and Galen too!
Joe, for the record, I don't think you look like Booger. :)

Great show by Joe in Phoenix recently but had to endure "Mountain" which was basically Leslie West dropping F bombs on the all ages audience. Just as we feared he cut into Joe's time topped off by buttin' into Joe's encore.

Do the Stu - Cover me and Don't You are absolutely 2 of my favorites for sure. As for their new album, there are a couple of tracks that I think they may have got a little lazy on writing some new riffs. Bitches Brewin is probably the most notable. While the song itself is a very cool rock song, the riff is for sure taken from the first album. My 3 favorites on the new one are Underneath it All and Breath Me In, the Intro and the song. Very nice stuff. I thought Candlebox really slipped after their first album. Seemed like the writing wasn't there. Then they faded away for a VERY long time. I have to say, give Into the Sun a shot. I think overall you'll really like it. Maybe not quite as good as the self titled, but it's good.

Legacy650--I wasn't aware Satchafunkalitis was a "disease". I thought it was a playful state of mind. Sometimes it makes me want to do the curly dance!!
Glitzman--You are way ahead of me, man! My car is in the shop and it's going to cost almost $700 to get it back! There goes the CD and guitar money!! Ouch!! Looks like I am going to have to put off a lot of purchases. Other than that, I'm doing OK.
dwimukh--How are you? Have they caught those criminals/murderers who killed over 100 people? I hope they are caught and locked away forever. We need an international law enforcement system that catches these outlaws and brings them to justice. This mess was only meant to cause more friction/fear and hatred between India and Pakistan. Music, love and peace rule!!
Maritime--I also am hoping a tour DVD release will be announced. Excellent question. What do you know about the Van Halen brothers? Were they born in the Netherlands? When did they leave for the USA?
Is Delft still an artists resort? I heard it was a place of beautiful earthenware crafts. That seems like centuries ago that was going on.
Do the Stu & Cappy--I plan to make a thorough study of ITLIS after I get it home. I heard samples from it and decided that is my next album. Who knows? Maybe it will become my favorite album. Right now, my favorite is Crystal Planet.
CappySteve--Me thinks it's time to change our society from a consumer based one to "what can I do for my brother/sister/neighbor society." I don't think the consumer based society is sustainable as we have found over the last year or so. What ever happened to R&D? What ever happened to rebuilding/renovating our infrastructure? We are almost literally standing on clay feet that are crumbling as we speak.
Roy--I like Neil Young, too. Did you know he has epilepsy? He describes it as "part of the landscape."
Will follow your previous request. ;-D
