Dear Satch,

Did you know, in French, if i translate in an exact way the title of your song "If i could fly" its give "si je pouvais voler". But in French the verb "voler" has two senses: 1- voler = fly (like a bird) but also 2- voler = stole (like a thief) !!!

Imagine, now , a musician, listen to your gorgeous song "IF I could fly" and finally in his mind it turns to "If i could stole"!

they did it. :-0

You say, they plagiated my song. sure. I've heard them song, but they shouldn't do it; what they have done with your fantastic riff. they waste it . ho damn Joe , they waste it.

You know , till i know your music (1985) , i 'm very fond of your music , your spirit, and the things that happen into my body when i listen to your strange beautiful music. My children (a girl 8 & a boy 5) also listen to your music (it's a beautiful music for child too) . They both love the famous "Crowd chant " and my son favorite Satch's song is " if i coulfd fly" (i take my son in my arms, and we turn and spin, up & down , on and on during the song). At each time we dance together, it's a good moment in time for us; i sure he will never forget it.

You must know, all across the world , lot of fans loves u, and specially a French couple with two kids. We've see you in Besançon (concert first scheduled in Dijon but finally you play in Besançon in 1996 ) and recently the 28th May in Royal Circus in Belgium. My Wife has also offert me The JS100 Red guitar. and you know what Joe? I'm a broken guitar player but better than someone else ...

Long life, take care. Warm regards

Lecokase.

we also love you all 'The Band' Jeff, Stu and Galen. and your staff and stunt...

Hey Joe! I have a random question ... if you don't have time to get back to me i understand. I'm looking for a wedding band for my boyfriend, but he plays the guitar. I was wondering what type and metal your ring is and if it ever bothered with your playing or scratched up your neck or strings. Thanks so much, Ashley

from Yahoo news a few days ago

In a statement on their website which came after Joe Satriani filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles last week, the band said any similarities between their music and the American strummer was "entirely coincidental."

"the American strummer" ~ that cracks me up~!

this T-shirt is fairly clever, actually

maritime, it's a fine idea, eh? :) Can never have too much Joe!!

abeast...Joe DOES answer here, just not as often as we think he should, which would be at least 3 times a day, LOL....he's a bizzy bizzy guy...but if you click on the box near the top of this page that's in the color blue and says Joe Messages....you can see some of his posts he's done...he talks to people...when he can :) But mostly, Joe never stops working!!

What I can also tell you is...Joe is pretty faithful about reading the messages here, even if he can't respond most of the time. ;)

It's supposed to snow here all the next 2 days...lookin like a pajama-Joe weekend, lol!!

Joe,

Like many fans on here, I'll add my support to you and your work during this Cold-Gate episode. I hope the infringement case settles quickly, as conflict is always unpleasant to deal with. I am quite comfortable in agreeing with the many fans on here that your sound was copied - pure and simple. We all know that your creativity and musicianship far surpasses anything Coldplay has ever produced, and their assumption that this would just be under the musical radar is shameful. One consistent behavior of yours (and fellow musicians such as Mr. S Vai, Mr. E Johnson, and Mr. J Petrucci) has been that I've NEVER heard you or any of them speak ill of another artist. You have never, in any interview that I have ever read, been disrespectful to another artist, and have always carried yourself in a professional and inspirational manner. Those are just a few of your many shining qualities, and fans do pick up on that. Many of us in this forum are likely artists in our own way, and would feel the same if our work was treated in such a manner. I wish you the very best with all of this current situation, and look forward to your next musical work.

Peace, and be well.

AH (aka stringbendtap)

Thanks all T2Jers! For logging in Andy Timmons site and checking on him for me, yourselves. JOE: Thanks to you for being so busy and still letting us check on Andy! I'm glad to hear from all the T2Jers who logged on the various sites to check up on him and leave messages here for me to read. You guys are really cool! I was glad to read that his back problems were not a bad as preiviously thought. As for plagerism, all the chord progressions have been used, the lyrics change. UK copyrights are different from international ones etc. and it goes on and on.....I have at least 4 commercials on TV that are based on ATN songs we posted in 2003. Same chord progressions and timing. They did add some new chord changes that made the commercials different. Check out the commercials for drugs for arthritis and then check out "Benediction" from ATN. There are more that similarities. The thing I keep in mind, "It is quite an honor to have people emmulate your work, a form of flattery." Randell
