Cube>Same here bro, i recon perfect pitch may be the key t the misery of waiting for inspiration t arrive again

Most of the time by the time i reach for the guitar the notes have left my head its feckin annoying, i have manuscript in every part of the house now but damned if it sounds like what i hear by the time i write it down hmmm think i,ll risk the course anyway

hey guys, it`s silly old me again... I check in every now and then and enjoy reading the stuff posted by the fans. Many of you guys have great sense of humour, wich is a great quality. Just recently though, I stumbled across some dude`s message to Joe claiming to having been a fan for many years but now, because of that Coldplay-mess, he can no longer be a fan...That is SO wrong,it`s not even funny. This dude`s arguements were something about being a musician too and having accidentaly played some notes once that were similar to a few seconds of petrucci`s work...

This now scares the poor guy to pick up his instrument..

Well, boohoo...how sad...We`ll all miss this selfrightious-not to mention world famous- musician so terribly, won`t we, my fellow TRUE satch-fans?! I guess this guy has no idea of what this is all about. It is a matter of property.. If someone were to steal your work, your property, you wouldn`t be too happy about it either, claiming otherwise is just silly. So here`s to you, dude; when someone does a live performance and it somehow evolves into an improvised stroke of genious, sounding just like Joe (or petrucci) then that`s ok.. Trust me, It has happend to many of us, not just YOU. It means you`ve been inspired by the greatest.. But when it comes to recording a song and then claiming it to be yours when it clearly is not, then that`s a whole different ball-game...that is THEFT,no matter how you look at it. If you can`t see that, I guess you must be blind. Saying you "can`t be a "fan" anymore or not being able to pick up your guitar because Joe might sue you" Is the single, most idiotic thing I have ever heard. No longer a fan? Well, good riddance. I`m sure Joe and the rest of us will do just fine without some dumb-ass who can`t get past himself.

To everyone else; I know for sure that in a while all this coldplay-crap will blow over and`ll be forgotten (not unlike the "band" itself) ...But Satch will be here for us for ever. My love to all the true fans- the people who get it. Greetings to satriëlla, keep posting that funny stuff, I love it!!

I put on 12 pounds at Thanksgiving. I lost 2.5 again but with Christmas coming along I may have to join you in the Fat Bastard Band of Brothers

and yes - you will see I moved and updated my profile. NY to Arkansas. Dont laugh. At least its cheap here.

Little Rock has Alltel Arena but I cant see that Joe ever plays here. Metallica were just here and AC/DC coming in January - but no Joe. Maybe he is scared of Arkansas - I was but its not as bad as I feared.

I went to work yesterday and virtually no-one there because of the slight frost. Just amazing. Businesses all shut down, people driving at 20 mph. I dont get it.

Its like a NY or Scotland normal day at this time of year - actually better. Its supposed to be 65 this weekend.

Southerners eh.

Maybe I should start a Joe come to Arkansas campaign.

Slansh - howz the new album coming along? Give us an update!

slansh, I am afraid you will likely need to take up another instrument to achieve perfect pitch.

Hmmmmm, maybe a boatload of different sized tuning forks would do the trick? Hmmm are them forks consistent at 10,000 ft and at sealevel? Dunno.

Who's fat? I was 160lbs. when I quit ciggies...now I'm about a french fry away from hitting 200..

Is'nt perfect pitch the ability to name any note or chord just by listening to it?

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!

Time to get caught up with all of you Satcheroos. It has been nonstop work for me. I am working in the mornings right now because one of our other servers was let go. Therefore, my boss needed and wanted me to take over because that is where we get most of our business. We also have been doing Christmas parties for a number of businesses, and there is more to come. I will probably be working the holidays too (Christmas and New Year's), but I am not sure yet.

Christmas shopping is about complete. Just a couple more things. I spent about the same amount as last year.

Hey, anybody, is there any more news about Chickenfoot?

SuperDaveMcCarthy: How's it going man? Check your e-mail when you get a chance. Did you get hit with any winter storms up there? We got hit with freezing rain, ice, and about one to three inches of snow the last couple of days.

Skippygirl & Keniko: I did do the 5K Run. However, the course was shortened so it was actually a 4K Run >:-( I was 15th out of 216 and 2nd in my age division, so I can't argue with that. I have my FWTC Banquet in February, so I'll look forward to that. I won my age division for the second year in the row.

Satriella: I enjoy your funny stories. I-D

Did I hear something about a chat online? If so, make room for one more, but it depends on my work schedule. I can let you all know what works out for me to chat. Count me in everyone!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! HAPPY HANUKKAH!!! HAPPY KWANZAA!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Let's hope 2009 will be a good year for Joe, his family, the band, and everyone else here and all over the world, especially the economy.

Well, I gotta run. I have to get ready for a Christmas party with my running group, in the next couple of hours. We are going for a long run first and then follow up with the party. I am about finished with all of my cooking. TTYL. Keep in touch everyone. LOL to you all.

Cube:Always room for improvement bro, it would be a dream made reality t be able t score for orchestra & band on the spot without the need t reach for an instrument.Personaly I feel I cant call myself a musician until I achieve that zenith. It disturbes me that I keep loosing out on great music I hear in the head because of my own inadequacy, help is being sought. Good luck with the diet, good excuse this time of year 2 t pass on self indulgence

Kenico:I was afraid of that.David Lucas Burge is the name, dont know if its the same course, its pretty old, I,ll let ya know what I make of it when I finish listening t all the cds.Perfect relative pitch ie being able to understand what the interval/intervals between 2 or more notes by ear is logical & fairly straightforward, Perfect Pitch is another story & apparently like the difference between going from black & white t watching colour TV except its aural, how much of that is bullshit I,m about t find out? I,ll let ya know

Fabby:lol you bin listenin t 2 much rap dude "Yo...ma homies perfect pitch I got da perfect bitch¨ add a few yo yos after n yer sorted

New cd is turning out fab, a couple of weeks solid down time would probably wrap it up, finding that time however is another issue but I recon after the new year that will be possible as wee John will be in school from 8am-5pm & my electrician course will be finished as of tomorrow afternoon.19th 20th shoppin 21 & 22nd with Turas ma, Scootin off t Scotland 23rd-28 family Christmas, first time back home for 5 years btw! 29th-2nd Jan with the inlaws up north so I,m looking now end o Jan start o Feb all the recording is finished that is if I dont start work b4 then.It would have been done but for the wee one being constantly ill & bein impossible t record guitar parts in this flat at night, but there y go nothing I can do about it

Good news is I got the videos from the festivals I played with The Iron Horse changed t DVD, 3 tracks from the lorient interceltique festival & I mailed the British Council in Tashkent for the live vid so for a small fee they burnt & sent me a DVD which was champion of them as the videos had all gone so they had t contact a chap from Uzbek TV t look through the archives. The Invisible Boss project I also have on DVD for the first time & a complete backup catalogue of all the pro session work I,ve been involved in from day one. Excluding unpaid work, the Bohinta sessions & my own music it totals over 8 hours of quality recorded material :) I,ll bag y a backup copy of it all on one of those 16GB stick jobbys next year Are y travelin back t jockland for grumble yersel?

T, congrats to baby mama on the newbie arrival.

McKenna's vid

Cube, yer goal is my goal. Can I join yer fat bastard club? I think every year I start to gain a few in October, and that usually goes on until...well, the following October. lol!

Fablawyer, here in PA, snow seems to mean drive 20 mph on the roads you can't pass on, and 80 on the roads you can. It's drives me crazy! SUVs are guilty of having no fear. The slow ones are big cars like the Grand Marquis. Same driving for heavy rain. Nooo happy medium anywheres!

It's a beautiful day today. Snowed yesterday, so thats always pretty (until you have to shovel it for the 10th time), my pop got out of the hospital today and is feeling better (till he has surgery tomorrow - but it's all for the best), and I have FOUR days off! In a feckin' row too!!! lol! Now maybe, just maybe, I'll get some stuff done around here.

Al, just for you ;- )

Slans.... Sorry Bro. I hope I didn't piss on your parade. David Burge is the CD I was referring to. Now keep in mind I'm going from memory and that could be in your favor. I'm hoping it is in this case. Anyway, let me know what you think of it as I'm curious cuz' this guy has owned the back pages with his ad for years. Take Care my friend.
