cosmic_ape - Yep, that's the one...how silly of me to think it'd be new to you. ;-) I don't think we saw the vintage one there, though.

Cossy - you make it sound like a woman...;0). What's it like living' in Hollywood BTW? Run into anyone famous lately?
Wow the Eric Johson thing was great - thanks - just makes me sigh how much there is to learn, step 1 of the 1000 step journey I guess.
slanshroom - I agree with you, balancing the digital age with teaching kids gratitude and initiative is a constant battle. How old/many are your kids?

Slans - aww......he sounds cute, do you play to him? Bet he would love the music you can play for him, what a gift from a parent.
ibanez-god - you'll be right my friend, you have a talent with guitar, a lovely nature, generosity and you are a good teacher. I could never earn a crust from music, at least you could busk if you had to (you'd probably earn a good income!) and sit on a stool :0). And it would be all yours.

Slansh : Music is currently under a crap system..
Commecial stuff is commercial stuff inside the hands of commercial guys. They don't serve the music. They use music to save money. They kill the flower inside people's brains.
None commercial stuff is full of incredible guys who build serious things to serve music.. check Jamendo. A minority of them become a few known. Very few famous.
To get an other job than music is the price to pay to be independant in music & serve her.
& we are crossing very hard economic days.

JLees fav morn brecky program eh oh i,ll mail y a happy pic l8r
Cube:From a substance viewpoint i find most instrumental guitar boring, i mean if your goin t let your chops rip at least bring something original technically t the table, furthermore song structures are looked on as secondary t the guitar solo....thats insane ffs thats where the heart of the work is but peeps rehash old solo ideas concepts spat out over rushed put together drums bass n keys backing, it just all makes for a very dull day
did yer man get that solo o mine stuck in the right place btw goin for a listen t yer track now bro...back laters

Do the Stu - Well, it's good to hear you're very passionate about journalism. That's always important I think. Sorry to hear you may be shifting offices. that's a bummer. Hopefully gas prices will not go back up. That could put a real dent in your concert budget!! lol. I often wonder where I would be if I had stuck with it. Can't complain though...things have turned out pretty good. I certainly never have regrets...just learn, grow and move on. I still have that journalism instinct however. I ask TONS of questions and research everything to death! Guess you're just born with that stuff.
I wonder if Joe would ever do a meet and greet session with his site members? That would be an amazing time!

So am I the only person who finds it funny that this site has more than 100,000 members, but a troll is able to come here and take the username "JSatrian" because, well, no one else thought it was one worth having? ;-)

Not talking about technical creativity, but technics... I always thought that the technical ability was more a question of work & obstinacy than anything else.
But composition is a question of creative imagination. Back to the ground, with what you get inside you, naked.
Lot of guitar players wear technics as people wear clothes. You love some clothes, hate some others.. but what does happen when the clothes fall.. nothing at all.
Cube : cool cover.

JSatrian - You know what I find funnier than you coming on to Joe's site and finding that user name? I find it funnier that you even take time out of your extremely busy life to bother coming in to this site at all. If you're following such a "big fish" why bring yourself down to this little pond?

skippygirl, living in hollywood is kind of chaotic... yes, you bump into famous people from time to time, but I am not star struck so I never make a big deal out of it... There's a lot of crazy people here, but most of them are harmless... It is loud, but not louder than the average college apartment...
I live here because my school is just two blocks away... I will definitely move out somewhere quieter once I'm done... Also, I don't care about the nightlife and I don't go to clubs unless somebody I know is performing...
I'm here for the music and nothing else
