Hello Everybody,

I got today off, but as usual, I was busy. Took down my Christmas tree, went to my hometown Harlan to check on my folks, put gas in the car, etc. Today was important because I scheduled a lunch meeting (at our hotel) with one of the faculty members at IPFW University earlier today. It went really well.

SuperDaveMcCarthy: Walks are excellent. Keep it up. If you are not, don't make me lace up my running shoes and start running over to get you moving. ;-) By the way, how's the family doing and did you manage to find any work (you and your wife)? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you both.

Guitarman77897: Wow, that is a lot of songs. Have you started trying any other Joe songs?

Fatape: Nice to hear from you. My first upcoming race will be February 8th, which is also my Dad's Birthday. It is a 5K Run and I am hoping to be under 19 minutes. I am trying to get under 18 minutes. I'm getting there slowly. I want to try to do a full marathon, if I could. The only factor is work and I am REALLY reliable/flexible for about everyone there.

js1200js1000: My Holidays were the usual: Spending time with my family. I didn't celebrate much nor did I drink on New Year's because I had to be at work early on New Year's Day.

Michelle: I wonder if that ice storm we had came over to you guys. Now we have this Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning going on. They said about three to five inches of snow here in Fort Wayne. I drove earlier today and the roads are slick. Advice to you and to everyone, if you drive, give yourself plenty of time and drive safely.

Skippygirl: I try to focus and maintain a positive attitude (when I can) when anything comes up (good or bad). How the hell do I do it? I just do it. I'm young and I'm 23 (right now). I'll be 24 next month on the 24th. How is your guitar playing going? I have my first race coming up on February the 8th (a 5K Run). By the way, I like it when you call me Glitzy. Do you have any more nicknames for me? ;-)

Railton: It has been busy for me. Hell, I am busy every single day. At least I'm staying out of trouble, if you know what I mean. My work and running usually keeps me busy the most. By the way, Happy Belated Birthday. Sorry I did not have the chance to tell you sooner. That is awesome on what you are doing with your guitar and guitar playing, especially playing those Satch songs. It seems that you and Guitarman77897 can play a lot of those songs. Hey, why not, you both should put together a CD together tributing Joe's music. I like to listen to "16 Years" sometime.

Castle49: I am sorry that you are out of a job. I hope you get a job this year. I am glad that you adopted a cat. I am an animal person myself. I would have a pet to live with me in my apartment, but I can't. I am at work almost all the time. I also would have to get pet insurance and I am not going to fork over another couple of hundred bucks for that.

GoldenGirl2: I am glad to hear that you and your husband are doing well. By the way, congrats on the guitar lessons with Ry Kihn. AWESOME!!! I hope it is all well worth it. Let us know how it all went down.

Igneousiceman: How cool that you bike and I run. Exercise is important. From what I am hearing, our country (the good ol' USA), is the fattest country. I am not sure if that is true or not. I run, you bike, does anybody here swim? If so, we then can do a team triathalon (Swim, Bike, Run). I-D One goal for me is to do a full marathon.

Satriella: Sorry to hear about this whole divorce thing. I hope this all comes to an end real soon. I'm here for you. I hope you get to see more of your kids more this year. Prayers to you. Paul Giilbert album, huh? That's great!!! I have been busy as usual. I have about a million things on my plate, mind, etc. going on. My work, running, family, and whatever. I have my first race coming up February the 8th, which is a 5K Run.

Joe Satrini: I am doing well, just busy as usual with a million things. Hey, staying busy will at least keep me out of any trouble, don't you agree? My running races will be starting up soon (in February).

Tikimon: YEAH MAN!!!! THE GATORS BEAT THE SOONERS!!! GO FLORIDA!!! Florida should finish at least in the top two in the final college football standings. The other team I think should be up top with Florida would be Utah.

To Joe and to Everyone: My running races is starting up soon. I have my first race on February 8th. It is actually a 5K prediction run so we have to come up with a time of what we think we are going to run in it. The only factor is we can't wear watches, so we won't know what time we will end up with until we cross the finish line.

This run also helps raise money to start a scholarship fund for a former IPFW runner. He died of melanoma back December 1, 2007. I am still surprised that he has passed. I had the priviledge to know him because I ran against him in high school cross-country and track. I have been donating money to get this scholarship up and running. This is the second year the University is putting this on. I hope there are more people than last year to help out with this event.

My boss and I helped out by giving them an overnight stay and a complimentary breakfast (for two) on us at our brand new Fort Wayne Holiday Inn at IPFW and the Memorial Coliseum. This will be for their silent auction. I hope people bid like crazy on that item. I now I'll be bidding on a few items.

I'll let you all know what other running races I'll be doing as soon as I get the chance. All I know is that I have this run on February the 8th, and my Track Club Banquet on February the 15th. I'll be getting my 1st place Award for my Age Division (for the second time), which means two things: Time to defend my title again and as well as go for a three-peat (in my Age Division).

Talk with you all later. I have work in the morning (serving and working in our hotel bar on the weekend and next week). I am happy that I am starting to learn how to do some bartending.

If anybody has any questions or what to know more info about this run I am doing, check it out at www.fwtc.org ; www.indianarunner.com ; www.3riversrunning.com

Check out the hotel that I am working at ichotelsgroup.com. Just type in Fort Wayne, Indiana and we are the first one on the list (with our brand new "H" logo). Just spreading the word out to all of you. We are the first full-service hotel here in Indiana in 20 years, as well as the first to have the brand new "H" logo. We have two wonderful family suites, two excellent Executive/Chancellor Suites, an excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner called the Mastodon Grill, and a great bar called the Faculty Lounge. Come check us out. Just refer by me, Glitz Man, I mean Grant.

Chat with you all later!!! Keep in touch everyone. LOL!!!

guitarman...he sets his volume at 1 or 2 O'clock? I thought he set that at 5 also. If I were to set mine at 1 or 2 it would be useless.

GlitzMan.....my wife has been working steady. I'm still out of work but have been picking up odd jobs in the last few days...better than nothing I guess.

Al--2000 jobs lost! Will 2000 more replace them? This equation is totally out of balance! It just doesn't equate!! I am LMAO at the Stay at Home Dad vid! That's brill! ;-)

js1200js1000--Of course it's fecking cold--it's called winter in the North. You are welcome to join the "snow birds" in Arizona or California if you wish.

Michelle--I like interviews with Joe. He can't hide his enthusiasm any more than we can stop the earth from turning and the sun from shining! That's his nature--Yeah, way to go, Joe Satriani!!! I also like the interviews with Steve Vai and the vid of Yngwie playing "Brothers" with an orchestra! Amazing stuff!!

Satriella--Divorce? May you get it behind you ASAP! Shit!! The child in me asks why? why? why? Typical little girl stuff. I am LMAO about the contrasts between men and women on your post! I'm so glad you have a wicked sense of humor! Way to handle life's roller coaster. Breaking a string and breaking a fingernail!!! Great stuff.

Goodnight, Satchland!

OK, Photo album up and Doodle gallery up. At the moment the photo gallery is just my photos, there's heaps of them on the net anyway. But mine links photos to gigs and tours, kinda cool so you can see a photo, go to the gig and see all photos from that gig. Only put a few photos on so far - just keep making work for myself don't I? :)

Doodle gallery is for everyone though, please start posting doodles, I've only got a couple in there, it doesn't take long and it will help us collect all this stuff. Should I also link doodles to gigs? or should I add a date field? Let me know.

Cleaned up the layout a bit also, if anything annoys you on the site, let me know and I'll fiddle with it to make it better.

Still looking at a stack of DVDs and CDs to enter.....

Maritime--The movie "The Dreamers" is available as a rental. It's from about 2 years ago. Btw, I saw "Bliss". Great movie! I like the complex relationships--they defy simplistic thinking! Johnny Cash takes me to a special place ;-).

Cube--Thanks for introducing me to MUSE. Got to see that vid again.

roo---You know what I like about the song, "Professor Satchafunkilus"? The inclusion of ZZ on tenor sax and the feeling I got of a tribute to Frank Zappa with the kind of humorous improvisation--twists and turns gets to me in a most wonderful way! Man, it's jazzy, funky and just plain brill! I love the saxophone!

Al--Your "weh hey(s)" send me into ecstasy!!

Listening to JOURNEY--STONE IN LOVE (my golden girl song!)
