I cannot believe no-one at all has a photo of Joe playing harmonica.

Maybe not keyboards, and other stuff, but come on, someone scan a photo for me for the site.

Chip in guys, more publicity for Joe.

All - I though of an easy way to sort the lawsuit issue. Which is better..... Joe Satriani or Coldplay. There's only one way to find out: Fight!

Looks like it's already been used to sort Duran Duran vs Spandau Ballet (1min 39)

Cheese - hi! Isn't it time to start planning chicken PA LMAO? Just thought I'd say "hello, how you doin?"

Michelle - hey there, driving home from work yesterday and saw a bumper sticker (similar to this) and thought of you : ) Good vibes about your job, stay positive

Blue Moon - Al, good to hear yer flu's gone. Another holiday? What are you like...

Railton - you're right (about your name). Sorry, guess I should use cut & paste huh! How'd I do this time? : )

Roo - ha, that post made me spit my drink. LMAO Needless to say the suspense is still suspenseful. Do you have an ETA on the project's "reveal"?

Skippygirl - hi S, yes that's one of the excercises. I think Joe says it's meaningless (musically) but good/useful. I have another one that I'll email you. Do you understand Tablature (is that how you're learning)?

There's also some hand excerciser things similar to a powerball, specific for guitar with varying strengths - think they're called Gripmaster?

Slanshroom - late, but congrats on the diploma (chordboy)!

Igneous - "patience young padawan"... ha, that's funny. Can the padawan be older than the jedi master though? Oh, and Star Wars or Star Trek or LOTR?

Some new stuff from Lance, I thought the vids were pretty cool - like training in Hawaii

Andy of UK - maybe it's just my mind, but "Anibur has relieved us all" could probably have been worded better? : )

Satriella - you posted Thinking of You.... which would make a good song title ; b

Glitz Man - so it sounds like you have a lot of nice areas to run in and like people watching while you're on your travels?

Anibur - the Radio one rock show recording of the Hammersmith Gig by any chance? I was there. Think I may have a copy on tape also, but also a CD version plus a lot of it is on Time Machine Disc 2?

Have a good day all

Chad, yer having a heat wave there :)

Millie, congrats on starting your lessons, when you find a passion in life you should pursue it if you can. There are many, many Joe videos out there with fantastic tips and advice.....when you have time, maybe you can check some of them out on youtube. He's a great teacher, and your fingers and lots of practice and lessons will do the rest :) Above all, have fun!

maritime, thanks for the Peavey link...my son is home for a visit this weekend and he loves being able to catch up on his "Joe-news", along with dominating the computer for tabs, videos, etc, lol....

Phil, I'd love to be able to start planning for ChickenPA '09....but we need a few tour dates to be announced first...oh, and I suppose a record would be important too, :) As soon as it starts, u know me, I'll start then too!

Joe, pretty please, couldya try really hard to make sure there's a Philly/Joisey/NY show or shows on the ChickenPA tour? We gotta hook up with chelle & co. this tour, and we ain't gettin her out west anytime soon, lol!! How's NAMM going? Have fun with the show tonight, wish we were there!

Glitzman, hello, sorry, I'm not on here much lately but will return the hi :)

Supaa Dave, my son says the new Nickelback cd is great...I haven't had the heart to listen to it yet, but I do like them.

Mckenna, be sure to leave Spain in as good of shape when you leave as it was when u got there.....

GGirl: Lesson sounds great, wish I had someone like him to teach me! An ex student of Joe...wow :)
Music Furniture.
JSPhil: Hmmm, wise words of contemplation. If he who teaches know not why he...(ramble on) Who said anything about Jedi?!...;) Personally, not a big Trekky but really like both Star wars and LOTR. Somehow never managed to get more than a third through the Fellowship book though; bad I know, I've read The Hobbit though. Great vids, can't wait for July! Speaking of which, I just did a French reading exercise on 'le Tour', bit unfair really, I could answer quite a few of the Q's without doing any reading!

2nd comment I did not know there was a CD the same as that tape (from 1993- I had the year wrong). I do own 'Time Machine', which I nearly wore out a few years ago. is that cd ever on Ebay?.....

Cheese...great thanks, not a newbie, but not American either, so had not seen that, cheers!

Hey Joe, i just became a member on your site. its pretty cool. i don't know if you remember me. I'm the 15 year old from floral park who met you at the guitar center in Manhattan. i made a recording of the Extremist at my house and i think it sounds really great. i tried to get the best possible sounds i could get because i really don't have any professional recording equipment.i played drums, bass, and guitar on it. i think you would really like it. but anyway i just wanted to say i went to one of your concerts a couple of months ago at the United Palace and it was awesome. i cant wait for the next time you come around. all right see ya joe. you rock!

Maritime--I enjoyed reading your funny post about OJ dying and meeting the devil! I read it twice already and almost fell off my chair laughing! What an imagination!

_______________________________________________

What you are about to read may shock you--I, Milli, have purchased 3 tickets to a Zappa Plays Zappa concert in Santa Cruz for the first Wednesday in March!! The first 2 tickets are for meself and my Steve. The 3rd ticket is for a special friend. Maybe the tennis friend (from Steve's San Jose State U days) who lives in Santa Cruz? Maybe my older sister or some as yet unnamed friend--I dunno. I want to leave this open to infinite possibilities. Check out--livenation.com and ticketmaster for Dweezel Zappa's live performance!

So much more to say, so little time!

Tracie and Michelle--My Fender Acoustic is teaching me how to be in the moment and is a healing friend. I hope all who pick up a guitar (no matter what name, model) find a quiet healing place with it. So important in a loud, busy world today.

Railton--Thanks for your reply. Yes, clothes are just a cover for each person's persona. I am just impressed by ECCO of Denmark for their worldwide attentive customer service and great fitting, comfortable socks and shoes. Comfort and durability and that special intelligent/caring human touch are what are important to me.

Al--For your information from the New York Times. Regarding the emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549, a McKenna came to the rescue. In an article by reporters Michael Wilson and Al Baker--"The operation was not without improvisation: Four New York police officers commandeered a Circle Line boat picking up tourists and commuters at 42nd Street and hurried to the jet. Two officers stayed on the ferry and tied themselves to two detectives, John McKenna and James Coll, who stepped onto the wing and helped people onto rescue boats, the police said."

I figured there was/is a lot of common sense and compassion among the McKenna family with its many branches and deep roots!!

Just wanted to share. Partly because I am by nature a news and information person and just because......

Yo Joe, So here am I just a great FAN of yours. I'm 17 and You're actually the first ever person who actually turned me seriously into guitar thingy. If I ever will end up becoming a pro guitarist i sure would like to have a jam with you sometime. A couple of months ago our music teacher at school asked me to paint some of the virtuosos for our music room and i painted yours, Vai's and Petrucci's posters which reminds me i've yet not given it to them.

I'm from India but i guess you won't be coming around here anymore. Anyway I missed your Kolkata(Calcutta) concert and i was damn depressed cose of that (Actually i was a little too young to go to kolkata alone and everybody else interested was already there so i my mama was not allowing me to go there).

Well I was just going through your DVDs and just many things were hitting me. How do you produce such clean sound? The guys playing at the Calcutta tour before you had a lot of noise as my friends say, but when you hit the stage...then no noise! More how does your distortion produce a different effect? Like when we use distortion it kind of gets fuzzy but yours has a great crunch. I own a Jem jr. and i hate the sound of its pickups. I think i still have to go on even with all the equipments as well as technique of guitars.

Oh , and i've almost picked up your Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing's Taping Arp ( If that's what it should be called). I've been tryin it for the past few YEARS. Keep up the good work Man!

Pip, that was funny! There was actually a bat in the store at work the other day. They love me I tells ya!

SupaaDupaaDave, happy birthday to the Mrs! My sister's birthday is today. Here's to hoping you get some Jack. lol!

GGirl, Jagermeister takes me to my healing place. lmao!! just kidding. Glad ya found something you like.

Michelle, yes I am a 9 hour girl too, totally. My hubby does shifts so at 10pm he has just come in for din, & I am trying to go to bed for a 7am start, (well get up then anyway), and it's a long week. Just as well I only do 4 days a week!

BTW, I said 'trousers' in my last post, but over there you say 'pants', SO do you have the word trousers?????

anibur, Yes, we have the word trousers, but it's not used much. I think the well off and older folk use it more than the gen pop. We also have the word jumper, but it's usually followed by the word cable. lol!
