Doodles - yes, but not getting far, I think the issue is I haven't found a good way to put them on the site and have people directly contribute yet. - not actively working on it right now.

Stuff missing from my site? yes! I still have a sizeable backlog to enter (stacks of CDs and DVDs), it's a slow process.

Also, heaps of older concerts to enter. venues, tours, info about songs, etc.

And then, when I start getting on top of that, I'm going to have to add clips from every song performance to download, and chickenfoot stuff, it will be coming out by then!

Guitars? Ahh, could be... could be.... maybe... wait and see...

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well for the start of 2009. Time to get caught up with you all. Man, it's tough not to talk with all of you when you are busy with a million things.

We have been getting hit with bad winter weather here in Fort Wayne. Now that the ice storm has passed, now we have snow coming this way.

I got back into my running. I ran last Saturday for 2 hours and 15 minutes nonstop. My MP3 Player kept me going throughout the entire time, as well as Joe. I have him and Maroon 5 on my MP3 for now. My races for 2009 will be starting in about a month from now. Doing a marathon is still in question.

Work is going well at the Holiday Inn. I have been trying to talk to some businesses about our hotel to come check us out. I did get a hold of one of our Universities in Fort Wayne (IPFW) and we are having a lunch meeting this Friday afternoon.

SuperDaveMcCarthy: Thanks for the e-mail. How are you and the family doing? Did you take my advice about going on a treadmill or getting a pair of jogging shoes?

Do The Stu: How are things going with you out West man? I hope things are going well for you.

js1200js1000: Hello my Canadian friend!!! What's new up there?

michelle: Hey there. How are you and the family, especially your Dad, doing? It's cold here, but I'm trying to stay healthy. My running probably helps me out the most.

Cheese 101: Hey T-Boz!!! How are you and the folks doing out there in Oregon?

Joe Satrini: Hey man, great to hear from you. I've been busy almost everyday now. What's new over there in the UK?

Satriella: Hey there girl. Like some of those jokes you are putting on there. I-D How are things going with you?

Skippygirl: Hi there. I am back into my running. Ran for 2 hours and 15 minutes a few days back. I am trying to put it as many miles as I can when I am out running. Have you been doing any jogging lately? Playing guitar I see. Good for you.

Railton: How are things going with you? Have you done any more guitar playing? How many Satch songs can you play right now?

death cube k: How are you doing my Canadian friend?

Blue_Moon: Luck of the Irish to you Al!!! How are things going for you over there in Ireland?

Guitarman77897: How's it going man? How's school going for you? Curiousity, how many Satch songs can you play?

tikimon: How are things down there in Florida? By the way, GO FLORIDA GATORS!!! I hope they beat Oklahoma in the BCS Title Game.

Maritime: What's new with you man? I hope things are going well with you.

Igneousiceman: How are you doing there?

slashroom: How are things in Spain my Scottish friend?

fatape: Good day to you down under. What's new over there. It's cold here, so I bet it is probably a little warmer down there right now.

GoldenGirl2: Hi girl!!! How are you and your husband doing? I hope you two are doing well.

Castle49: How are things going with you?

Ibanezplyr: Hey man, are you healed up yet? How are things going with you. I've been busy as usual.

JS_JS: What's up man?

roo: What's new down under? Any more signatures for Chickenfoot? I check your site out sooner or later.

alexandre-caetano: Long time since I have chatted with you. How are things in Portugal? How are you doing so far in this new year?

TO EVERYONE: Anybody watch "Superstars of Dance"? Pretty good show on television. Eight countries battle it out to see who is the best in dance. The eight are:

1.) Argentina 2.) India 3.) Australia 4.) South Africa 5.) United States 6.) Ireland 7.) Russia 8.) China

They are all really good and I can't choose a winner. Best of luck to all eight of them.

Well, I better wrap things up. I am meeting with my running group in about a half-hour from now. Everyone (to those I chat and to those who I forgot), keep in touch with me and I hope you are all doing well. I'll chat with you all again (sooner or later). Bye for now!!

Q:What did the Blind Deaf Mute kid get for Christmas?

A: Cancer

so mean. it's horrible.

Cappy, this might be a stupid question, but in these times I really think it's a valid question... Are there firearms on the ship in case of trouble? Safe travels to you and yer crew. Me and the boys here will toast to ya every now and again till we see yer back safely. Then ya can raise them pints yerself.

GGirl, what's Balcony tv?

Glitz, we're all good. Had an ice storm here over night. It was fun getting to the car this morning, but driving wasn't bad. Snow expected overnight.

Chadley, google is yer friend. lol!

Conch - Not a stupid Q, it's one I get asked a lot. The answer is no. Prolly just as well because if my ship was being attacked I would surely shoot back at the MOFO's. I would equally surely then feel bad if I hit anyone because there is way too much killing going on in this fucked up world we are not doing a very good job of looking after. Thanx for raising a BEER in my direction, for those about to drink beer I salute you.

Chadders - If you work in the oil industry you know very well that VLCC is an acronym for Fucking Big Oil Tanker. Oops I mean Very Large Crude Carrier.

So if you would like to help enlighten the Australian public with Satch's music, please vote!

http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hottest100/vote.htm

I hope its okay me posting this link, Im new at this sort of thing.

Oh yeah, study, work, sea time, get your licence, work, sea time, study, get the next licence, work, sea time, study, get the next licence, do without beer, do without sex (unless you're a hershey highwayman), miss the family, work, sea time, study, get the next licence, con peeps into thinking you actually know what you're doing. Guitarman77897 - wow that's impressive playing! I am still trying to get Kumbaya.

Glitzy - I love your bright and happy posts - which must be admired with the weather you have. How the hell do you live and function in that? I am loving summer here ATM, all bare legs and cold chardonnay and swimming, plus a bitof guitar practice each day.

JSPhil - nice to hear from you, yes the fingers are coming good, and I think I have D now by reversing the 1st and 2nd fingers. Next to nail are C and F and chord switching speed.

AZ1987 - great idea!!!!! Perhaps all the Aussie fans should agree on a song to vote for so we maximise our votes? What do you recommend?

Do The Stu - you've been away I think - hope you had/ve a great holiday.

Hi Skippygirl, You get to vote on 10 tracks so I pretty much voted for all the tracks on the album. Thats a good idea to choose one to focus our votes.. which track would you think?

None of the tracks are listed (pathetic isnt it?) but you can click on 'Add your own' and just type it in.

It would be sooo good if even one of them made the top 100! Its amazing how many people listen to this countdown here so it would be great to hear.

WOW....I saw the winner of "the Joe Satriani look alike contest" today on my way to work. He had Joe's exact hairstyle (if you can call it that) and Joe's shades;-P He was driving a 1967 or 68 Ford Mustang--bright red with hood pins and great-looking alloy wheels! I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming!!

It's confirmed---I start taking guitar lessons from Ry Kihn (Joe's guitar student from about 15 years ago), next week!!! Amazing!! The ripple in the pool gets bigger and the circles continue out into the galaxy!! Wey hey!!!

It is official--2009 is the international year of astronomy. It's posted at the library where I work!!

Now to pray about the shooting death of a young man at a BART station on New Years Day! (He was shot in the back as he lay face down on the pavement.) The Bart police officer resigned today AND THE STREETS OF OAKLAND ARE TENSE TONIGHT. The young man's funeral was today and afterwards tempers flared because the issues surrounding this case have not gone forward with the district attorney!! We need the wheels of justice to move much more quickly with this. The attorney general of the state of California is urging the district attorney to get the shooter a court date right away. I hope to God this case moves forward, because I don't want a repeat of the rioting that happened in the 1960s (Watts riots) and 1992 (after the Rodney King beating).

Love and Peace.

Maritime:now THAT is chilly! although not as bad as Canada gets it...-40 plus oooph so happy t live in Barca sometimes

Cube:Hmmm makes it harder t play imo in the sense if y screw up a note its smack in yer face under a microscope which i like, makes you a better player.Defo more audible t hear the notes individual with no Dist but thats common sense, then again low output pickups with tons of Dist/Ov do that 2. Yngwie HS3,s for eg, they are so clean y could pick a string n listen t last weeks dead skin rattle along its length no matter how much dirt y throw at em & they work fab for recording no 60 cycle hum probs!...but.... for clean passages, ie that out of phase neck & middle "quack" tone using zero dist/Ov texas special single coils imo are by far superior, SRV, Knoflers choice for those that dont know, i,m having my Strat fitted with em soon, the tone is goin t be sublime

Glitz Man:all good here dude thx, festive gone like a flash in the pan, had a fab time back home with family & friends, the last time we were all together was 20 years ago so it was kinda special.Havin my son back in Scotland was the ice on the cake.Heartbreakin leaving for Spain again but there y go, cant have it all good all the time.Back t work, speakin of which i better pull the finger out

AlexandreCaetano:Alls well here bro, sorry t hear about the mut, tis hard t let go mans best friend

Hello from Norway. I bought a Ibanez js20s reasently. I havent tryed it, but a guitar build with the name Satriani on it, i was confident that it was good quality.... This mod. costs nearly 14000 kroner her in my country. And my oh my, Made in Indonesia really take its place her! It seams to by a cheap 50 dollar guitar!! I am so dissapointed, it dont have Joes mic. and the one it has feeds like crazy!! A lot of hum and noise!! Where is the true pas wolum??? It comes often out of tune, even the guitar case i have to work with just to close it? There was no signature strap and pics, even the add says that it is delivered with the guitar? There was a cable so thin that it is useless. Joe Satriani has been my icon since i sav him on stage in Rckefeller in Oslo 20 years ago, so this guitar build in Indonesia should not come with his name on it!! This is an surfer that can not surf, it is not joe satriani standard, at all. Just a disapointment.. (sorry for my poor englesias)
