Hi Joe, it's really good to see you and your blue text 'round these parts :) Funny how a message or three can make everyone happy, whatever you say, lol! It's a day-brightener for sure, to have you stop by and post. Love ya Joe, and can't wait for anything and everything Joe-related :) That studio in Vancouver is really nice!

maritime and skippygirl, congrats on your personal Joe-messages...it makes ya feel very special eh? :) And maritime, the pics ARE very nice, looks like it was a fantastic experience for you. Skippygirl, guitar is hard but so worth the struggle...don't give up! Just remember to crawl before you try to walk, and walk before you try to run on it and you'll be fine :)

Glitzman, good luck in your race. You always sound like a very busy guy.

Mckenna....nice song, I liked it from the first time I heard it. It has a nice flow to it....can you extend the solo part any more? More Mckenna-song is always a good thing :) And I'm proud of you for working on yer stuff....FINALLY!!!

El Nicko, that's a pretty cool shirt....you designed it? I bet Joe thought it was great!

So I have to renew my drivers license by my birthday in March...they are going to confiscate my old license, take a new picture and I have to bring with me, in no particular order.....my social security card, proof of citizenship (I knew that passport would come in handy, lol), proof of my current legal last name, prrof of my identity and date of birth, and proof of my current address. Oh, and pay the fee. Ooooo there's a vision test too, I'm in trouble!! When I got my license after moving back to Oregon in 2001, all I had to do was fill out a form, show them my Oklahoma license, take a quick computer test and I was out the door...dint need all this documentation to prove who I is....amazing.

wow....a 9-year old playing Summer Song, AND on a chromeboy guitar...he does pretty good....and this kid obviously has impeccable taste in music and guitars, lol!

I like this vid of him also...

It's as you said Joe.....watch out for the young kids, the ones we don't even know yet that are out there, they're going to set the music world on fire! You and so many others have set the bar very high for these kids, they are starting from a tremendous point of reference!

For all the Mums to brighten your day.

Cheesey - I almost fell off the picnic bench when Joe responded I was tickled to death :0). I just ordered the Hal Leonard book and I keep dreaming of playing Summer Song at some point in my life haha.

Spoke with my niece today and found out her guitar is a stratocaster and, given that her dad is a flamenco guitarist it is good quality to learn on.

Have to get an amp but can't wait to try it........roll on Sunday.

maritime - wow that looks interesting. So you just plug the guitar into the pod and then plug your headphones into the pod and play? That would be ideal, I don't think the family will want to hear me practicing! Also would make it real portable rather than lugging an amp around.

Appreciate that. Thanks.

mazzy-time - the 2.0 or XT looks very exxy - I might have a look for the first one you recommended, seems to be around $130 AUD.

The guitar is a Fender Stratocaster, apparently has a black body with white pick guard thing. I don't know if it is a copy. I've had to promise my niece I will take care of it, bless her. I said I would try not to smash it on stage Cold Chisel-like :0).

Gitzman - How did the book signing go? Were you a jibbering wreck LOL

Ibanez_god - I remember reading in a Paul Gilbert article him saying how his dad made him an amp out of a toaster!

One day my housework-challenged husband decided to wash his Sweat- Shirt. Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he shouted to me, 'What setting do I use on the washing machine?'
'It depends,' I replied. 'What does it say on your shirt?'
He yelled back, ' Liverpool .'
And they say blondes are dumb...

A couple are lying in bed. The man says, 'I am going to make you the happiest woman in the world.' The woman replies, 'I'll miss you...'

'It's just too hot to wear clothes today,' Jack says as he stepped out of the shower, 'honey, what do you think the neighbours would think if I mowed the lawn like this?' 'Probably that I married you for your money,' she replied.

Q: What do you call an intelligent, good looking, sensitive man? A: A rumuor

A man and his wife, now in their 60's, were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. On their special day a good fairy came to them and said that because they had been so good that each one of them could have one wish.
The wife wished for a trip around the world with her husband.
Whoosh! Immediately she had airline/cruise tickets in her hands.
The man wished for a female companion 30 years younger... Whoosh...immediately he turned ninety!!!
You have got t o love that /STRONG> (woman) fairy!

Dear Lord, I pray for Wisdom to understand my man; Love to forgive him; And Patience for his moods. Because, Lord, if I pray for Strength, I'll beat him to death.

Q: Why do little boys whine? A: They are practicing to be men.

Q: What do you call a handcuffed man? A: Trustworthy.

Q: What does it mean when a man is in your bed gasping for breath and calling your name? A: You did not hold the pillow down long enough.

The following are all replies that British women have put on Child Support Agency forms in the section for listing father's details. These are genuine excerpts from the forms. Be sure to check number 11, it takes the prize.

1. Regarding the identity of the father of my twins, child A was fathered by Jim Munson. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of child B, but I believe that he was conceived on the same night.

2. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of my child as I was being sick out of a window when taken unexpectedly from behind. I can provide you with a list of names of men that I think were at the party if this helps.

3. I do not know the name of the father of my little girl. She was conceived at a party at 3600 Grand Avenue where I had unprotected sex with a man I met that night. I do remember that the sex was so good that I fainted. If you do manage to track down the father, can you send me his phone number? Thanks.

4. I don't know the identity of the father of my daughter. He drives a BMW that now has a hole made by my stiletto in one of the door panels. Perhaps you can contact BMW service stations in this area and see if he's had it replaced.

7. I do not know who the father of my child was as all squaddies look the same to me. I can confirm that he was a Royal Green Jacket.

8. Peter Smith is the father of child A. If you do catch up with him, can you ask him what he did with my AC/DC CDs?

9. From the dates it seems that my daughter was conceived at Euro Disney; maybe it really is the Magic Kingdom.

10. So much about that night is a blur. The only thing that I remember for sure is Delia Smith did a program about eggs earlier in the evening. If I'd have stayed in and watched more TV rather than going to the party at 146 Miller Drive, mine might have remained unfertilized.

11. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of my baby, after all when you eat a can of beans you can't be sure which one made you fart.

HUGS!

Hello Joe

I am an Italian Fan of you, I would like to express my disappointment for the ruling regarding the Viva la Vida song. The song is yours, I know about composing and arranging and we just have to accept the world is ruled by a bunch of corrupted empty boxes. Empty boxes like Coldplay that steal inspiration and ideas from "not so sold" artists around.

Your music has influenced all my life...in a good way;-)

ciao Michele

Al McKenna--Your new song sounds sweet. Great that you are working on McKenna time--best there is!

Maritime--You are extraordinary and that unflagging sense of humor rocks! You are so relentless!! LOL! When you rock out I can imagine all of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxumberg rocking and dancing with you--sending ripples across the North Sea to England and Scotland and south to France and beyond! Wooooo Hoooo!!

Michelle and Tracie--You have given me a lot of ground to cover--vids, etc. to catch up on.

Skippygirl--Keep practicing that guitar. As you do, you will find it becomes more natural to place your fingers on the fretboard right where they need to go!

Glitzman--I'm doing well and staying busy with work, home, my Steve and practicing guitar/taking lessons. It's all good! Man, it's far out to hear from Joe! He rocks the universe!

Satriella--Where do you get all these goofy things to post? What do you think of our favorite musician posting here?

Tracie--that post of Satchmo (Louie Armstrong) with the fawn, kitten and bunny was priceless! Awww....sweet! Now, could you send your favorite Satch vid on here, please. Thanks.

GoldenGirl2;-)
