ibanez_god:Thx bud btw Your bro was a lucky S.O.B. & now in this crisis even the best qualified are lucky t keep a job down! I was told point blank at the job centre 7 years ago if i dont speak spanish or have the spanish equivalent of my qualifications i might as well forget it.I looked anyway, i found zero but for illegal work in construction that i battered away at for the next 5 years.

There are some lads i,ve met here that could bullshit themselves into a nunnery, they have the gift of the gab, i,m afraid i,m not one of them

GG2:That was the reason i spent a year on an electrician course.. better prospects.Having family now i had t make the wisest choice, so many other sectors now t choose from. When y see builders being let go by the truckload its the first sign of a sick economy there was no choice but t leave & study something else b4 the rest follow suit, the early bird gets the worm n all that

mikesb:)lol thx bro n yip i,m pretty good at fuse blowage, gettin rewired for tonights work

Thx one n all, you guys ROCK!

Sparkboy lol

Another job field that is on the up-swing despite the state of the economy is the medical field. Nurses, nurses aides etc.. If you have the patience (and the stomach)..it's a job industry that will only get better over the next decade or so. I was considering getting out of the construction racket and going back to school to work at a clinic or a hospital.

And Holy Buckets !! We had -40 F at my house early this morning. How do you like them (frozen) apples?

Slan, all the free lunch is here in America. People work their whole lives and have to fight to get on disability and social security, but seems people who weren't born here and moved in 5 minutes ago are welcome to it.

Mikesb, that post was electrifying. Must be time to go ohm.

Hi Joe,

The SatchZone Lessons are awesome, but I'm getting worried! Only one lesson in December, and only one published in January without a future publishing date in sight. The first five months were worry free with a new lesson every other Friday. I was guessing that Workshop Live would publish three lessons in January to catch up. I know that this isn't your fault and would just like to bring this to your attention. Subscribers are feeling short changed by Workshop Live and some are threatening to cancel their subscriptions to various lessons (Benson, etc.) due to lack of response from Workshop Live. I hope this will be resolved soon and we can look forward to learning more from you. Thanks!

GG2 - You want to get in the safest career field in the country? Get into the medical field. The projected shortage of medical help is going to increase over the next 15 years as the baby boomrer generation all cross over the age of 55.

Plus its one job that can't be outsourced!! Well, maybe billing, but not patient care!

Good Afternoon Satchland..... What up?..... Well we've reached our avg. snow fall already at 37". But it gets better.... It'll be -1 tonight, 2 on Thur. and warming up to 3 on Fri. Windy City....It's more the Freezing City. That's what give Chicagoens their character and I'm the biggest character you want to meet......

Thanks for the nod on the vid. You peeps are the bestest cyber family anyone could ask for.. Thank much.

michelle....Thanks sweetie.....I've always wanted to be a 10. Hugs to ya.

Slans.... Congrats.....I know from around Chicago and having ben' in construction myself(concrete)it's a lot of schooling....for obvious reasons. Electricity is safe, but you definitely have to know what your doing or it's instant Mohawk....Check out my vid when you get a chance.

Igneousiceman....Yeah, it's a headless. Ralph just picked it up about a month ago and it sounds really good. If you look closely at our vid, he's playing the keyboard part with the bass pedals in real time. That vid was one take. We were all laughing afterwords cuz' it took me about 1-1/2 hrs. to mic everyone and get the levels right and 5 minutes to record it.

Have a Great Day Everyone !!!!!

Sorry, since I'm on Joe's website my alias should read joestime_jimisvoodoo. Oh well, Joe should've come first. Joe's time of course stands for Time Machine and Time-on the Crystal Planet album. And Jimi's voodoo is for Voodoo Chile.

Just want to say hi to Joe, my favorite guitarist. I have 9 of your albums Joe, keep'em coming.

Andy here ya go..

Answer:

In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.

BTW read my name backwards too, but don't mess with the letters, cos you'll upset Joe.....

Phew 39 deg C here today (around 108F I think) so it's a stinker out there.

GG2 - guitar is coming along. Still practicing about 10 chords for correct sound and fingers, and then S L O W L Y switching between chords which the brain is reluctant to do!!

I try to play basic songs along with the instructional CD but I end up playing every 3rd chord to keep up with the CD :0) - kids think it's hilarious.

ibanez-god - I meant C not D - apparently if I add the pinkie to the 1st string 32rd fret it's still C so I can work around my 1st finger problem. Do expert guitarists do that or do they try to master the right fingerings?

Started learning to pick Old McDonald last night - I found that alot easier than chords.

Tonight has been somewhat of a strange collage of love i,ve felt from all parts of the world so i thought i,d post this to you peeps from an invisible friend

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental

To reach out to another is to risk involvement

To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self

To place your ideas, your dreams, before the world is to risk loss,

To live is to risk dying

To hope is to risk despair

To try at all is to risk failure

But to risk we must

Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing

The man, The woman, who risks nothing

Does nothing

Has nothing

Is nothing
