Hi Joe!......hey ..I am glad I changed my name to Satriella...a sales guy talked to me the other day and when I said my name...he said it was unusual so I explained how it came about and he said "Oh wow I am a Joe Satriani fan too"...so I told him I had drawn you lots. Next time he rang he said that he had checked out my drawings and now had one as his desktop picture!

Glitzman - Thanks for caring!

Ibanez-god - Actually you are wrong....we love being invited in!

Things mum taught me....

RELIGION
"You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

TIME TRAVEL
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into next week!"

LOGIC
"Because I said so, that's why."

FORESIGHT
"Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an accident."

IRONY
"Keep laughing and I'll *give* you something to CRY ABOUT!"

OSMOSIS
"Shut your mouth and eat your supper!"

STAMINA
"You'll sit there 'til those lima beans are gone!"

HYPOCRISY
"If I've told you once, I've told you a million times - don't exaggerate!!!"

CIRCLE OF LIFE
"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
"Stop acting like your father!"

ENVY
"There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do!"

Marriage reflections...

"My wife and I found the secret to a peaceful marriage several years ago - separate bedrooms. I sleep in the east bedroom and she sleeps in a different part of town."
Mike Nichols

"When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her."
Sacha Guitry

"After marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin; they just can't face each other, but still they stay together."
Hemant Joshi

"By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher."
Socrates

"Woman inspires us to great things and prevents us from achieving them."
Alexandre Dumas

"The great question... which I have not been able to answer... is, 'What does a woman want?'"
Sigmund Freud

"I had some words with my wife, and she had some paragraphs with me."
Anonymous

"Some people ask the secret of our long marriage. We take time to go to a restaurant two times a week. A little candlelight, dinner, soft music and dancing. She goes Tuesdays, I go Fridays."
Henry Youngman

"I don't worry about terrorism. I was married for two years."
Sam Kinison

"There's a way of transferring funds that is even faster than electronic banking. It's called marriage."
James Holt McGavran

"I've had bad luck with both my wives. The first one left me and the second one didn't."
Patrick Murray

"Two secrets to keep your marriage brimming:
1) Whenever you're wrong, admit it;
2) Whenever you're right, shut up."
Ogden Nash

"The most effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it once."

Does anyone have a good BT for A Love Eternal? If so, shoot me an email.

BTW: A guy over at Petrucci's forum figured out a way to make BTs from 5.1 recordings. It's really cool cause it's like you're actually playing with DT. Thanks,

Civ

My cat didn't make it so I'm feeling a bit down. Alcohol not working either. I had to let her go yesterday.... admit to crying like a baby.

Thanks for all those that sent good wishes.

For whatever reason Revelation now jumps in my head if I think about her. It feels appropriate to post it.

Bye little friend

Phil....BIG hugs to you honey. I know what it is to lose your fur baby like that, and to have made the hard decision. I'm so sorry. And you're entitled to however many tears need to fall. Your kitty is running happy and healthy now, hang on to that. But I know it doesn't really help right now. God bless you and your kitty girl.

maritime: Whew! After you said that, I checked and I'm still all there! What a relief. Besides, I don't remember ever travelling to Africa....

Now, let's get back to talking about chickenfoot! Yeah!

I think it was a valid question about solo albums in future. I'm hoping Joe cannot help himself and has to continue with the solo albums, I know things will be hectic. But you never know... With the speed he comes up with new material when inspired, I guess the chickenfoot stuff could just act like fuel for solo material as well!

I also hope Chickenfoot strikes a good balance. Imagine a great rocking song with face-melting solos and then have Joe jamming out for the last 10 minutes of outtro!!!! Woohooo.

Hey Joe, I hope you're gonna open your mouth too, it seems only fair if you're talking Sammy into having a bash on the Guitar!!!!! :)

Cannot wait to hear more...

Roo

Joe Satrini: :-( I'm very sorry for your loss of your kitty. I get emotional myself when I lose a pet, especially cats. I am a cat person (myself). Prayers to you my good friend. LOL

Oh JSPhil - so sorry about your kitty - I lost my cat Elvis after 11 years and cried my heart out so I know how awful you must be feeling. Strange how they get into your heart they're so affectionate.

BTW had a 2nd guitar session with my bro-on-law last week whllst on holiday (and thanks for the Happy Ozzie Day message!) and actually started playing House of The Rising Sun!!! It's just Am, D, Fmaj7, E and repeat.

Also got lucky - my niece is going to Europe for a year on student exchange so I am hopefully getting her electric guitar and amp to use - :0).

Hey, I have a question. When you are writing the solo's for your songs, how do you go about that? Do you play it and then write what you play, or do you write it and then try to play what you write? I can write the main riffs to my songs, but the solo sections are a little hard for me to write.
