Hi Joe, Great to hear from you and YES those pictures of you and Maritime are keepers! I think your guitars can't wait to perform with you on stage! I can't wait either. All the best to you and all the great musicians of Chickenfoot!

wow..lots of blue text. nice to see you mr. satriani. the satchzone legato lessons are tremendous. can't wait for the chickenfoot cd. i am the envy of all who see my js1200 since you signed it at the HOB show on october 31, 2008 in orlando.

maritime - thnx, when he replied to my post I ran into the house (was doing some emails out in the backyard) and got my children and we all ran back out and re-read the posts LOL - they are going to school today to tell their friends I had a note of encouragement from Joe Satriani :0). I was a bit stunned myself, really but tickled pink.
Al - that is a magic piece of music, really lovely.
GG2 - thanks for the bookname, I'll look it up.
Glitzy - good luck with the run next week. You can say your goal out loud wherever you are, you don't have to find time, just when you are in the bathroom, driving etc.

I'm such a dirty old bastard... Anyways, Al I saw the NEW RG1550 at last and all I have to say is that I find a little insulting Ibanez keeps offering only black guitars for lefties... After all these years and all the new tremolos they have come up with, you'd think them S.O.B.s at least would give us a taste of the new edge zero but noooo... the damn thing is symmetric, I figured if any trem can be made lefty easily this would be it... I guess I was wrong... And on top of it, they pretend to charge 200 more bucks for it... based on what? a maple fretboard??? well, they can have it... I'm getting tired of this B.S. Look at our "New" guitar made with old parts... It might as well say "refurbished with leftovers"...

the black lefty 1550 isnt even available in europe, so its even better :)
sick of black guitars for lefties, its ridiculous, especially for ibanez at this stage... envermind the ridiculou extra cost, i wudnt mind but i find my 100$ strat easier to play than my fancy rg1570
and thanks for listenin to the song, theres still some stuff to be done to it, ill never be happy i guess!

ibanez_god: I own a rg1570L... I looked up a limited run from like 2002 that featured a mirage blue finish instead of black... It took me two years until I snagged one up... Apparently, now I'm done... the 1550 was discontinued, now they brought it back, in black only!

yes they brought back the 1550 lefty with a maple, the 1570 has rosewood neck the 1550 has the maple but onyl available in the US, damn ibanez anyways
and yea there was the mirage blue, i.e sparkly dark navy, why cant they jsut make a red 1570? wud it be that bad???

Hi Joe, it's really good to see you and your blue text 'round these parts :) Funny how a message or three can make everyone happy, whatever you say, lol! It's a day-brightener for sure, to have you stop by and post. Love ya Joe, and can't wait for anything and everything Joe-related :) That studio in Vancouver is really nice!
maritime and skippygirl, congrats on your personal Joe-messages...it makes ya feel very special eh? :) And maritime, the pics ARE very nice, looks like it was a fantastic experience for you. Skippygirl, guitar is hard but so worth the struggle...don't give up! Just remember to crawl before you try to walk, and walk before you try to run on it and you'll be fine :)

Mckenna....nice song, I liked it from the first time I heard it. It has a nice flow to it....can you extend the solo part any more? More Mckenna-song is always a good thing :) And I'm proud of you for working on yer stuff....FINALLY!!!
El Nicko, that's a pretty cool shirt....you designed it? I bet Joe thought it was great!
So I have to renew my drivers license by my birthday in March...they are going to confiscate my old license, take a new picture and I have to bring with me, in no particular order.....my social security card, proof of citizenship (I knew that passport would come in handy, lol), proof of my current legal last name, prrof of my identity and date of birth, and proof of my current address. Oh, and pay the fee. Ooooo there's a vision test too, I'm in trouble!! When I got my license after moving back to Oregon in 2001, all I had to do was fill out a form, show them my Oklahoma license, take a quick computer test and I was out the door...dint need all this documentation to prove who I is....amazing.
wow....a 9-year old playing Summer Song, AND on a chromeboy guitar...he does pretty good....and this kid obviously has impeccable taste in music and guitars, lol!
I like this vid of him also...
It's as you said Joe.....watch out for the young kids, the ones we don't even know yet that are out there, they're going to set the music world on fire! You and so many others have set the bar very high for these kids, they are starting from a tremendous point of reference!
