Slan, thanks hon. Darren's just lucky I wasn't drinking some "man-hater" to match his "wife-beater", or it would have been on. I let him have that one ;-) Yer a good soul Marchbank - I hope ya know that.
I miss Clarky's stories of drunken madness. They were some good ones.
Al, all yer drunken stories from the chat usually need to be deciphered by at least 2 people to figger out what the hell yer on about. It's always entertaining and funny as hell, and we do have pictures that most of Europe has seen yer arse at one time or another!
Anyways, I'm just back from a viewing of my daughter's friend's mum. Only 58 years old. She'd been battling cancer since the girls were in 7th grade - which is as long as I've known her - seven years. Her husband unexpectedly died of a heart attack on Dec. 16th. Guess the plan was for him to get there first to help her over. The family has really come together, and I know in my heart my daughter's friend, the youngest of 5, will be okay. The mum had a great sense of humor, and kept it until the end.
R.I.P. Andy
She left us all with these beautiful words on her memorial card:
Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is gone.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times, and laughing times, and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

JSPhil: The phrase came out of watching the whole Long Way Down series with Ewan McGregor, if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. Long Way Down. Hope the liddle innertube prob isn't a taste of things to come in 09! Tubeless? now that's a scary thought, although it would mean no more torn finger tips courtesy of skinny little road tyres...heaven. :)
GLitzMan: Competition hasn't happened yet, it's some time in May. I'm jsut waiting for the coachguy to get in touch...
roffler: Perfect song that...
Very nice memorial card words as well

hmmm, slan, this Buckfast sounds interesting and like it has possibilities, LOL.....not fer me of course, I'm now a total wimp when it comes to drinkin, dammit....but could be entertaining to watch others :D Mckenna comes to mind......
And I hear what u say...yer just u, it's all you can be. Don't we all have a dark side? I'm thinkin yep, definitely, but most of the time we manage to keep it under control. Mostly :)
Chelle, u know I love it when u let loose yer balls, lol!! But ahem....so yeah....
The memorial words are beautiful, and a lovely way to be remembered in this life. I hope they brought some comfort to her daughter, or will someday. Sounds like she left behind beautiful memories for all, so that's a life well-lived, even if too short. God bless her and her family and friends.
Mckenna....shaddap u. And feck off :) You do enuff drinkin fer both of us!

My Steve is depressed and says he doesn't know what the doctors are doing these days in regards to the Cyberknife treatment they talked about. The radiation machine has been used on brain cancer patients, but not on epilepsy patients. They are so cautious because they don't want to make any mistakes--understandable. Steve doesn't want his skull opened up, but he is continuing to have seizures both simple partial and complex partial. We both want him well enough to get him off some of these draining medications. Finding a cure for epilepsy is daunting!!
I have to be present for him and see to my own health needs as well. So much!!
Gotta go to work at the lovely library work with the wonderful people. No guarantees about my job after July 2009. Time to search for another job! Another task added to my overflowing IN BOX! Overload must be the name of the club we all belong to!

Hybes: Hey Guy. Try to pick a 4-12 cab that has the same ohmage as your combo amp. You can just add on with an extra speaker jack in the amp. If you go for another amp, look for something with channel switching if you use that so'os you have control over your overdrive. I use a poweramp for a pa with the output of my Zoom pedal straight into it. It's difficult to get your tone with mulitpule overdrives, one in a pedal, and cannelswitching. Sometimes you can get lost on which one is on. Lots of sustain and saturation that way. It might happer your tone quite alot depending on the modles used. Your combo is not obsolete. Give it a try. If you have a amp that does not switch omage, you may need to get a "Power soak" to handel that part of it. Good luck. T2Jers usually give good advice.

michelle: If I may go back to the subject of downloading You Tube videos, I normally have You Tube open on one tab and keepvid.com open on another tab. If you find one to keep C&P the address into keepvid. It gives an option to save as .flv or .mp4. There's even a toolbar attachment to make it even easier.

Happy Australia Day to all you satch fans down under
Blue Moon - saw that choccy ad for the first time yesterday. Gets yer attention hey!
Michelle - sure your man will be cool with it. It'll be just like a girlie slumber party thing once I turn up in the red
"dressing gown" and Al in a nightie...
Roo - mate, hope you didn't take offence to my use of strewth? I use it all the time over here so that I don't drop too many F-bombs, etc. and my aussie rellies haven't called me on it ; ) Can't wait to see these machines, they sound like they'll be magical.
Igneous - Long Way Down - that was the second series they did right? I missed that one. My worry is that as Trek use bontrager, if I splash out on the dream Trek I get stupid issues like that... the carbon fibre would probably be fine, and it's just the components that are fragile instead LMAO Lance 28th (?) in Tour of Australia, not too shabby
Ah... Australian Open Tennis, a beer and a sammish...

This is Nut`s!.,okay man? I have this age old dilemma now let`s be srious oh Im strong real strong wolf2 classic strong ,but now when i restarted my workout ,inlcuding my york 2001 gym I dropped my dumble row`s then few day`s ago my body released from them now when i dont do dumble rows i call it not measured strength because i can soley curl alot more like now 30 pound standing curl that feels liht 14 ,15 times it will go up to 60 pound,s feeling light 54 curl,s at a time now and thats as high as my dumbell,s can go so i do dumbell rows at 20 pounds whic gives me a standing arm curl of 20 pounds take away the rows and my 60 pound curl 54 times is not to far away brother it,s nice with the dumble rows and alternate arm curls .It feels nicer more strength actual strength then the load bearon dumbell i do curl 80 pounds with my barbell whic mean i can do the rows and have 20 pounds for that and my alternate curls becuase the big bar covers any bases that would need the more poundage so i dont know i dont need the rows doing my late ral pull downs my tricep pushdown and that but they wouldnt hurt brother i can curl ,Like unlimited uncontrollable amounte without my rows but the bennefits are not as great and the health isnot either anyways have to make coff eltr wolf2 checked my arm this morning both full 30 pound`s later wolf2.

JSPhil: Certainly was the second...Funny you should mention tyre things again; just got back from a ride in which me and my Dad went to a cafe in our village. We came out and he had a puncture. Yup about 1 minute swift ride from home! Typical...You could just change the crappy components. But then, it might be easier to buy a different bike :) Speaking of which (again), it now turns out that my Dad's nice Dawes Audax Sport has a pitted headset....after a couple of hundred miles at most....Roll on July, and release the Armstrong!
