Since when have the Grammy's exhibited much taste, or intelligence?? So it's not surprising...although if they love that song so much, in a way it's a nod to Joe at least. Damn Grammys.

chelle, maybe you'd prefare the Ghosts...of Scotland....this way :)

Slan....that's quite a story and especially hair-raising, to say the least!! When Chris had his private lesson with Joe, Joe had his own ghostly encounter story to tell us, which was actually pretty cool, and I told him about ours....when I bought this house back in 2001, it came with a resident spirit. We had several freaky encounters and events here, one in particular that drove us to my mom and dad's house to spend the night, lol.....but in the end managed to send him on his way and all has been quiet since. But I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that he was here, he was confused and prolly very perturbed at how NOISY Chris was with his guitar, LOL....so he acted up and made his presence known. Scared the puddin' outta both of us, to be sure, but he was actually harmless as it turned out. To my understanding, most if not all spirits are harmless, so I don't freak out so much anymore. But that don't mean I ain't gonna pee a little if it ever happens again, LOL!! And I actually find it comforting to know that existance does go on, and our fur babies are there as well.

Chelle, so when we go to Scotland honey, we won't make u go into any graveyards or dark, damp places, k? We'll keep you out in the fresh air, looking at the beeyooteeful countryside :)

anibur....I was actually gonna suggest you try an electric to see if it's easier, cuz it is, but you've already discovered that for yourself :) Have fun....learning on the acoustic first is valuable though, but not if it discourages you from keeping up with playing!!

So sorry over the brushfires in Oz-land...so sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you there.

Wow Phil, nice job on those two songs...you're quite the player :) Sorry to hear you've been hurting, what the heck happened?? Were you moshing again? :)

Mckenna, may I remind you of yer vow the next time yer invited out? Yer liver WILL thank me I'm thinkin....and just take the damn test, do everything right and get it over with!!!

Hippo Birdie Stu-art Hamm :) May you have many more years to come....

Austin...mixed signals....how about just trying the old, "Hi, I like you, can we go out sometime this week?" bit :) Don't make me come down there!!

I noticed that when Coldplay went up to receive one of their grammys, it happened to be Blink 182 who gave it to them. If I had been Tom Delonge I would have made a comment about it as I was shaking their hands. I wonder if he was thinking "What a bunch of dorks these guys are"...

cheese....not meaning to be nosy, but what did your resident formally living individual do to get your attention? I'm intriqued..

JOE: Guess what Joe, You won a grammy........Not that you need one. You're the best, 'nough said! I'm still nursing a infected foot and recently went back to the hospital for yet another infection. This one was not bad and only a abscess. Facebook is fun. I've had quite a few new friends on that site, some/most from my high school. Continued postive vibes to you all. Randell

It's great Joe will play with a band!!!

But I don't believe the record will sound good... but Sammy Hagar is just a painful singer!

I hope Joe will bring a new solo album as soon as possible.

The Grammy award forgave a theft!!
It should have been considered to be it clearly immediately. The Grammy should have a pride.

I watched the 60 minutes spot with Chris Martin, he did admit that two others are claiming they wrote that "Viva" song. He also said something about "If I lost my hair, I wouldn't go on stage", I took that as a rank on Satch. I watched the grammy awards only because of this controversy. Besides John Mayer, Paul McCartney, Al Green, Stevie Wonder and a few other old timers, the show was as bad as all those rappers were. Sue 'em Joe!!!!!!!!

Oaky - LOL. If he really said that about losing his hair and going on stage, that is pretty funny. I guess that's what happens when you're a talent-less ass clown! You need good hair.......What a tool.

Did anyone happen to see Cold Play do the song last night? That guy was hopping around the stage like someone kicked him in the nuts. Sad Sad.....

Here's the 60 Minute Interview

Coldplay

"One of the things that surprises me, you're out on tour. You're not even finished with this tour, and you're already workin' on the next album?" Kroft asked. "Take a break?"

"No. Take a break when I'm 40, or 35," Martin said. "Not now. I've gotta keep writin' songs as long as I've got hair, 'cause once it goes, then I won't be able to go on stage."

*** Don't know if he meant that towards Joe, or just has a thing about his hair? ***

"The song Viva la Vida, the one we just did last year. I said, listen man, I got this and it goes something like that, I always say something like that… and it drives him crazy," Martin said, playing the piano and singing.

"And Jonny says what?" Kroft asked.

"And if Jonny says he likes it then I have to show it to Will, which is one of the things I fear most in my life," Martin said.

"So this is like the UN Security Council, one veto and its…," Kroft said.

"One veto and it goes on your solo," Martin explained.

Given their professed history with Viva La Vida and their past track record writing songs, the band was stunned when not one but two different artists claimed that Coldplay had plagiarized part of the melody. The band says any similarities are a coincidence and they have refused to settle out of court.

"I think that the way to deal with these things, if you know it's not true then you just have to say, 'I'm really sorry, but it isn't true.' That's it," Martin told Kroft. "The other alternative is give like a seven hour rant about why it isn't true, and how it's just not possible. And I think for the purposes of this interview its best to say we would never do that."
