I got a text message from my sis this morning. it reads:

"Thank you and Joe and everyone. No sleep here. I want to come home now. "

Not sure if she's coming home today or not. Prolly tomorrow or Monday. Haven't talked to her yet today. I can't wait to see her, but I'm a little scared. Not scared that she's gonna look all tore up, but scared that I'm going to get nervous and get stupid funny like I always do when I'm nervous. Last surgery she had was her appendix taken out, and when I went to see her I couldn't open my mouth without saying something funny. She still holds that against me and threatened me already. She said if she has one hand on her head, and her middle finger up on the other hand, I'm in BIG trouble! lol! Gotta watch for that. lol! It's no fair really since sometimes all we have to do is look at each other and we laugh, so as you see, I'm at a slight disadvantage. lol! I just wish the hospital she's at wouldn't be over 2 hours away.

Austin, not a big Iron Maiden fan, but I dig a few of their tunes. As a matter of fact, every time the shit gets deep I start singing the chorus of Run to the Hills, Run for your Lives!. lol!

Phil...yeah, those vids were great, love to see the older stuff :) Am greatful to the people who put them up on youtube to share, all I do is see them and post them here.

Do you REALLY think Chrispie would have the monies to get a 20th? Really? LOL...................noooooo, he dunt, money is like water in his hands....but he hopes to inherit my guitar collection some day, lol!! The 20th is a beaut, to be sure :) I did let him hold my two collectible JS guitars and have his picture taken, that's as close as he gets fer now!! They are tucked away safe and sound, NOT in my house, cuz Chrispie comes to visit and would want to play with them.... nonononononono!

maritime, just getting caught up with posts, glad to hear you're doing as well as you are after what happened. I hope you continue to get well and stronger. Sometimes it's a wake-up call and you end up so healthy in the end, with changes. Good luck to you and continued health!

chelle....awww, bless yer sister's lil heart....hospitals are NOT the place fer sick peoples to get any rest, that's for sure. Her own bed is going to feel so good to her! I hope she gets to go home soon. It's great when prayers are answered with a happy ending....or in her case, it's a new beginning! And u know what....stupid funny....is just one of yer many charms honey, don't stifle yerself, LOL! She knows how u are, hence the warning...but since it's "normal" for u to do that, if u dint she'd think something was wrong!! Laughter is good for the soul....and for healing. Smootchies.

So last night in the chat, there were a couple of 16 year old guys. Of course we asked them how they got into Joe, etc...and one said cuz Satch Boogie was on his Guitar Hero game. Guess it's good for some things, eh Joe? lol!

Pip - emailed you back. I got the weird metronome thing up and running, so far just on a straight single quarter note beat and using the acoustic bass drum I think it is - will experiment with different beats, thinking I should try to match the strumming pattern is that logical?

Would love a seat on the bus - even if only a virtual one :0). I am getting the feeling the bus is going to look like the scene in Almost Famous where they all sing Tiny Dancer hee hee.

Do The Stu - at this stage indications are that the "main" big fire might have been caused by a set of power transmission lines coming down in the fierce hot winds into a paddock but nobody will know until the investigation is completed. Other fires may or may not have been deliberately lit, we also have to wait for the investigation. A new Authority has been set up to do that specifically. The towns were actually cordoned off as police investigation areas so the residents could not return for quite a while and only with identification wristbands and escorted by police. I think they all want to get on with trying to get back to normal and begin rebuilding so it is hard on them.

Well, now I'm kinda worried....

Went to the video store tonight to rent a movie for tomorrow....I picked up the new movie called "Quarantine" and took it up to the counter....

The young man who rang me up picked up the movie and stopped dead....he looked at me and in all seriousness said..

"I hope you're not planning on watching this alone?"

I was like.....noooooooo, my 87 year old mother is going to watch it with me....will she be enough protection??

He sez...."All I can say is...DONT watch it alone...it's the scariest movie I've ever seen." Then he sez..."Are you watching it at NIGHT?"

I sez no....during the daytime and I promised to sit next to my mum for the movie. He just shook his head, gave me a pitying look and rang me up. As I went to leave he said..."I watched this with 4 other friends and even that wasn't enough."

I might not sleep tonight in fear of what we're gonna see tomorrow....
