Hello World,

This week, the US Senate is debating if it will set up an independent inquiry into Bush?s War on Terror! Such an investigation could have massive global consequences, and if properly set up would have the power to fully investigate torture, secret prisons and cover ups attributed to the CIA and the US Department of Justice. A decision could be made as early as this week. If enough of us around the world make clear to the US Government that we support an effective and powerful inquiry - we could tip the debate. Hello Canada, UK and Australia,

You people have admonished and chided the United States about taking responsibility for our government, constitution and actions to make this a more peaceful and just planet. With a new President in the White House and a resolve and will to show the world what we are really made of we will move into an open and honest dialog about what we are doing and where we need to be going on the International Road to Progress in the 21st Century. I understand this will take great humility, listening with a heightened awareness and a wider view of our world and the place we occupy as one of many countries on this planet. We are servants to one another. Let me take my place as a servant and steward of Planet Earth. Let's make beautiful music together!

Jayzus man, stop! There are people out there that are fighting with everything they've got to see their next birthday, and yer fighting with everything you got against it. THINK about it! It's a feckin gift!

I'm just really wondering why the people who don't want birthdays anymore can't give them to people who do. Birthdays = LIFE! I just can't stand to hear one more negative thing about turning another year older ffs! I just don't fuckin get it.

Anyways, to everyone who's had a birthday in the past week, I hope it was great - as it should be. Be proud of your age, whatever it is, because every year is a blessing.

Sorry for the blow-out, but life it to precious to piss all over it.

Sandy, the concert was awesome... It was like a small G3 with Paul, Ritchie Kotzen and George Lynch... They played their sets and then did a little jam together and at the end there was a small "Mr. Big" reunion... I still can't get over it, it was freaking unbelievable...

Alan - Nice tune would have been great to see the vid to that the bend at 3-06 ish is going off it's tits lol bet u made some crazy faces with that tune lol

Roo - Well i am sure they will show up let me know the damage so can post ya the cheque :) lol to be honest i will just enjoy going to the next gig with a group of satch fan's to chat and sit inline with :) :) :) :) make the day so much more enjoyable.

Michelle - Here Here totally agree with ya on that one yeah ok ya birthday does mean ya older and a step closer to the coffin but just more reason to appreciate the one's we all have left :) :) :)

So Happy B'day to me for the end of the month LMAO

Sad guitar happy - The name i made up because of G3 was amazingly Satch ,Vai and Petrucci (Dream3) who i hoped and prayed to come play australia and i got my wish so i guess the name had some luck to it :) :) :) :)
Fav Satch tune not actually a favourite more just one of his many standouts would be Just like Lightning just something about it that grabs me big time and the way Joe bops around to it is awesome.
And the big question can i play any of Satch's songs the answer NO the day he writes a tune with no legato runs etc then yeah i have hope just play bits and pieces of his stuff :) :) :) but its fun and keeps me outta trouble maybe we can catch up and ya can polish me up on some skills :) :) :)

Cheesey - love those LImelight vids, shame Roll Over Beethoven wasn't great sound but still terrific to see the early Joe stuff.

Al - very nice vid, like that alot. I can now appreciate how freakin hard that is to do, since my Ode To Joy using the top 3 strings ounds like a strangled cat and it all out of time.

Dumb question #24 - what are the metronome speeds for 2/4 time and 4/4 time????? Using a computer one, but tried to match the speed of the playing of the songs on the Hal Leonard CD and can't get it right - seems to be around 95 bpm for 4/4?

Joe - I got C and F, but I my timing and picking is woeful - what do I do????? And when will you be back in Australia?

poseidon: Hey, that has a ring to it...:) You don't seem like a Wolf to me...Ok, scubadaz it is.
Kraut is cabbage or herbs, the whole 'insult' thing comes from things such as Sauerkraut and other German foods. I do German, nice I've actually been able to use it for a change! (but you already know that...)
GGirl2: Well said! We all need to do our little bit and stop thinking it's someone else's problem. (Uh oh, I sound like Bono...)

Slanshroom: Pity really, has a nice ring to it I reckon :)
That's the hardest thing for me at the moment, stopping all the other strings from howling away...Comes with practice I suppose. My 'band' covers Starlight, a nice easy song to play. Not much guitar, but a kick ass bass line. Great fun. Here's another good one by them: In Your World.

Just played my Epi 5W on full...good god is it loud! Ears were ringing ever so slightly after, great fun though running a valve amp on full. Ahhh the joys of a day off education!
