Does Chickenfoot really have a facebook account? I don't have facebook or myspace or anything like that. I clicked on but you have to have an account I guess.

I feel so welcome. Well, I started playing guitar about a year ago. I picked up an old acoustic I had, then got an electric later on. I just recently found out about Joe, and I think he rocks! My favorite song by him is Surfing with the Alien. Trying to learn it (don't ask how that's going...), but I learned some of it. The thing that really gets me is that my stupid Epiphone doesn't have a whammy bar. I need a new guitar soon....thinking maybe a Jackson or an Ibanez....

Blue Moon Alan---There you go again being daft! And people wonder why there is so much discord and distruction between the sexes!! Jaysus! It started in elementary school and got even weirder in middle school. I'm just glad I bridged the gender gap in high school when I met NS. We are still good friends and he is in exile on the Great Plains with his domestic partner because this stupid country doesn't accept homosexuals as REAL PEOPLE!! Cali went weirdo with Proposition 8........Do I have to march on Sacramento to make some sense of why it's okay to take human rights away from people because of sexual orientation?????

I'm goin' to a tea house tomorrow with my sister and niece and if I see a man in there, I won't think any less of him for being in a colorful, glammed up place. Some guys wear black fingernail polish!! What's so homo about that???!!! Some guys were earrings......what's so wussy about that??? Jaysus!!!

Michelle Great news We all wish her a speedy recovery.

Scubadaz Thanks for the advise. I really love the neck on this thing, it makes Legato much smoother and faster for me. I have problems with a heavy touch from about fret 12 on up. I seem to have problems keeping it quiet when I lighten my touch. My next guitar will be a JS 1200. Have a great weekend everyone. Burly

fatape - no drama here really, thanks fo rasking. Bout 9pm last night I was practicing on the geetar and the room shook a little but not much. Only found out it was a tremor when I read the morning papers. Went a long way, Korumburra in the east I believe.

Thank heavens we had some miraculous rain this week to finally pu tout the fires - ironic as we haven't had a real rain in years and we got 2 days' worth.

burly - thanks for that, so is Ten Words hard after all? I only have an old Fender Tele anyway and no effects gear (a $3.80 Woodstock amp) so it was always going to sound average! Will give it a try and keep practicing.

Michelle - great news for you and your sister. See, it was all those great vibes from T2Jer's plus your love that did it :0).

... it's 4am, I woke up as I could hear what sounds like a baby crying outside. Once I stepped outside it stopped. Come back inside and it starts again... what's going on!?

Michelle - that's great news. I'll raise a glass tonight

Blue Moon - well, that's a really really nice job on the pedal board. Didn't think about the F/X loop as on the (dead) effects box I have it's obv built in. Your board is such a nice job I reckon you could sell them no probs.... so that's three for the Chickenfoot bus then

Igneous - the spuds episode sounds the same. Me and mate stopped at T-junct. One car, pause balanced, few more cars, pause balance. Time to go... speeding car.... stop... balance.... lose balance... comedy fall sideways like tree being felled... bike stays attached until last minute when the quick release saves an injury. Queue hysterical laughing from two cyclists. 3 for the bus... so we'll get away with a Nissan Micra for the time being : )

Cheese - some kick ass vids of Joe from the 80's. NICE find, cheers for posting. Um, you/Chris has a JS20th????

Ibanez God/ScubaDaz - have you seen Big Daddy with Adam Sandler in it? Because now that you're scubadaz all I can see is scuba steve! LMAO

Do The Stu - I'm pretty sure you won't get to view that U2 footage from Igneous as it's linked to BBC iPlayer which I'm reasonably confident is restricted to UK only. That's not to say it won't get youtubed of course. Anyway.... back to Kate Beckinsale : )

Skippygirl - the camera ads inches LOL. I dropped you a reply to your email a couple weeks back, did you get it? Ah, yes, the Satch Boogie video. I remember first seeing it and wishing they'd just stayed filming Joe's fret hand... but it's still gr8! How's practice going?

Cube - well it's a great cover.... if you can call playing a song releaseed by someone else but written by you before that "a cover" LOL. Look forward to the next one. Billy Ray Cyrus ("achey breaky heart") maybe? Oh, and hanging out with Zakk W.... for the second time? Tell us more (maybe)?

guitarmeister2005 - sounds like a great birthday. With 1000 watt sound system I can see a Back to the Future moment coming on....

Satriella - they're pancakes ha ha

Cosmic Ape - PG gig sounds awesome. I'd better go search youtube for it

Roo - how much was originally being asked for the JS3? I see your point about the T2J section, but I always got the impression Joe just wanted to bring people together here, just like he does with the music.... an if you do end up coming over for some UK/Europe chickenfoot keep me posted and I'll try to help out (or reserve you a spot on the UK/Europe fan bus LOL)

Maritime - sorry to hear that! Best wishes for a quick return to full health

Hybes - nice link to classic rock. In case it helps, when you go to make any type of post there's a handy set of notes for links etc, just under the "Post his message" button

Burly - that's funny (Joe and picking up girls). I started playing as I loved the sound of the instrument but I soon noticed that as I improved so did the number of girls that wanted to hang out with me. Very funny

I'll be surprised if this link works without being logged in but this is the kind thing I want to see!!!!!

Chickenfoot

Joe - thanks for the great music and a great website. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Bye for now peoples

So the scumbag who started those huge wildfires here in Southern California that killed five firefighters back in 2006 was found guilty Friday. He hasn't been sentenced yet, but he faces the death penalty.

I haven't heard the latest on what's been going on with the suspect(s) in the Australian fires...is there any news from down under?

scubadaz - Well it is an unplugged tour, so I figure they've realized their luck with drummers ran out long ago. ;-)
mikesb - If I were only a Spinal Tap fan I don't think I'd go. But I have other reasons...Christopher Guest/Nigel Tufnel is a connection to Satch (fairly obscure, but a connection nonetheless). And then I'm a big fan of other work from Harry Shearer (The Simpsons) and Michael McKean (The X-Files, The Lone Gunmen).
hybes - That Chickenfoot page on Facebook looks official to me, but if you don't have an account you won't miss anything. I doubt they'll get any exclusive news.

You should create an account there though ("Everyone else is doing it..."). I created a group for T2Jers a few months ago...it's been kinda dead lately, but with some new members maybe it'll pick up.

michelle - I must have missed an earlier post when I was sick, but that's wonderful news about your sister. :-)

To shift to the less serious, I was listening to Iron Maiden's Number Of The Beast earlier tonight. I know you love your double-bass, but I don't know if you've ever said anything about this album (or band, for that matter)...any thoughts?

...Austin...

Good to see some Lizzy around for a change, Whiskey's a real classic, I put it on my radio show last week (which didn't transmit due to 'technical difficulties'...) Speaking of Technical Difficulties. Oh, and ta to slanshroom 'the....' for putting up a version I haven't seen before.

Since we're on the subject of Lizzy, you really can't beat this for twin guitar action Emerald.
JSPhil: The joys of cycling eh? Just when you think you've cracked the whole track-stand balance thing...wham. Fun. :)

JSPhil: there was no price on the JS3, I needed to make a bid to secure it against a second (tenacious) buyer that I told about it (stupidly)? - not really, I had spent far too much on guitars and had to let it slip through my fingers. I decided not to contest it.

ah well, I know it went to a good home - I don't mind helping a fellow collector.

Went to an Iron maiden tribute show Matt (the floor manager from the local music shop) was singing in last night.

What a FUN night. Very cool to hear some really good music played by good musicians, rarely get that around here.

I'm not a maiden fan, so didn't know the songs, but it went off! They played number of the beast and I loved phantom of the opera and many of the others.

I am absolutely serious about this chickenfoot euro tour bus thing. As soon as we get dates, let's start organizing it. I wonder what the plans are for a chickenfoot.us/fansforum site? I guess it makes sense to bring all the fans together soon.
