Hi Joe, well I will skip the obvious (OMG YOU RULE) I was at the 2008 Toronto Concert and i must say... It was such a great pleasure seeing you play live... Ur much taller then i thought :). And wow.. your hands look like rubber when you play (Cool 9 Live Sweep) Ive been watching all your interviews and i got your Satchurator but for some reason i cant seem to do a lot of the harmonic fun you do on stage. I figured out how to do your Scream but any tips on how to make the harmonics last longer.

I am playing an Ibanezs7320 hooked up to a Spider II Line 6 30 watt amp.

Also if you dont mind you get alot of feedback when you play... as in you get the feedback but then manipulate it to your needs. Yet i cant get the feedback to do the same things (looking at what note your playing and copying it onto my guitar)

Roo:- Regarding vibrato technique:"Play what you feel and feel what you play". If you can hear what you want to sound like in your own mind,and if you can let your heart and soul pick up on it, your vibrato will come naturally.This is a clip of me just dickin' around at my mates place which should show you what i'm talking about. keniko & Burly, thanks for asking. My sis is doing pretty good. I stopped in after work yesterday and took her for a walk around the block, then sat with her for about an hour and a half. She says the pain isn't to bad, but she's taking it easy. She's trying to stay active and not just lay around. They told her that would be the worst thing she could do. By "active" I mean using the steps and walking around the house a bit, as well as the occasional walk around the block. Tomorrow will be a week since her surgery. Next week she might get the stitches out. I took a phone pic of her scar when we were walking around the block so she could see what it looked like. Her hair was sticking up and I said her scar was waving to the passing traffic. I told her I could send that pic to 100 people and maybe 2 would guess what it was. We had a good laugh saying what they might guess - cigarette butts in the gutter, caterpillars on a railing - just stupid stuff, but we had a good laugh. Today after work I was toast. I had to come home and melt into the sofa, so we didn't walk today.

Scubadaz I went snorkeling a few years back at one of Disney Worlds water parks. In the pool were Hammerheads, Tiger Sharks and stingrays. My daughter was about 10 and was pretty scared so I was trying to act brave for her and after the first trip through the length of the pool, I was hyper-ventilating. I eventually became comfortable with it and had a great time. I could reach down and touch a couple of the sharks. (4 footers)

Skippygirl Hang in there, the noise can't be worse than a beginning trumpet player. How far do you live from the wild country that we see on TV and movies? Any Crocs nearby? Now that would be scary. Not a big reptile fan.

Burly: actually it's funny, some of the crocs are MASSIVE! Steve was a nutcase getting that close... I went to the Australia Zoo (in QLD - the one owned by the irwins) it is very cool, specially the croc show.

The funniest thing is when people from other countries come to live here. My daughter made friends with an american family who recently moved here. We were chatting and have a great laugh because they don't realise we have like 10 times more deadly common spiders and snakes and stuff. It's not uncommon to regularly hear of people being bitten, eaten or stung around here. You really do have to listen when you are told to wear long pants and firm footwear when you walk in the bushland even just across the road.

And I live 7 minutes from the centre of the city!

what with red-bellies, brown snakes, redbacks, funnelwebs, stonefish, sharks and everything else crawling and flying around here, it's almost like eat-legged freaks to get your car out of the garage.

And I'm arachnaphobic! :(

You know when Steve's program first began airing, I would get so mad at him, yelling at the TV "PIT IT DOWN". I would take it as long as I could and then change the channel. I eventually grew to like his shows and understood how great of a guy he and his family were. I can not stand snakes. Being a rice farmer, it is very common to see Cottonmouths. As long as I know where they are and can see them I am OK, but have almost hurt myself several times after nearly stepping on one. On one occasion, I fell backwards on top of one in the mud and water. We were both trying to flee one another as fast as we could, and would have probably been comical to bystanders.

burly - yes lots of great and wonderful wildlife in Oz. The crocs are mainly in the north of Australia particularly northern Queensland (heavenly blue pristine beaches...) and the Northern Territory.

Here in Victoria it's mostly the marsupials (kangaroos, wallabies etc), koalas, platypus, emus, spiders and snakes (correct me if I have missed any my fellow 'burnians) and penguins because we are on the southern coast (they're CUTE!). Growing up in the country it was mainly the tiger snakes and redback spiders to worry about so all the kids I hung out with wore boots outdoors.

Yes do put Oz on your bucket list it's a wonderful country :0).

You know it's kind of strange that most Americans will never travel outside the borders but in other countries it is very common. I never really thought about it but in some of the small landlocked countries travel outside is very common.

Travel prices are more affordable now if you are fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of it.

On the subject of traveling outside of the country I've quite a few places I'd love to visit. I consider myself a bit of a historian and there are so many places with such great history that if I had the money I'd go visit them all. On the top of my list is Ireland, Scotland, and England. Then Vietnam and Germany. Vietnam and Germany would be for the military history. I'd like to visit the concentration camps in Germany and really all over Europe, and I'd like to see some of the tunnels that the NVA used in Vietnam.

From a paranormal standpoint those places are sure to be "haunted" maybe not actively but I'm sure that if you stand there you can get a sense of everything that went on there. I think that's something that everyone should experience at least once. Not for any morbid reason but it might hopefully make people a little more thoughtful and mindful of making sure history doesn't repeat itself.
