Roo..My Control one has the whammy pedal but the processor and software version is so old that the response is a little sluggish. I always thought the stand alone Whammy pedal would have been sweet.
A guy in Germany has upgrades available for the GSP 2101 on ebay but he does not mention my software version which I guess is ancient. I can't get a straight answer from him as to whether or not my board will accept the upgrade.
It has a lot of neat features like steel guitar that you can also use the pedal for. It is just a bit too slow. I have heard that the Johnson controller is much better.

What a great night, at a massive party with friends for 2 children who were shaving their heads for the "World's Greatest Shave" fundraiser for leukaemia (my daugher did it last year) so of course with all of us adults together we turned on the broadcast of Sound Relief, the concert put on today in Melbourne and Sydney for the bushfire appeal.

How fantastic to see our very own Environment Minister (Peter Garratt) get it off with his band, Midnight Oil and pull off all the good stuff from their heyday - Beds Are Burning, Blue Sky Mining etc. - the whole house was rockin with people singin at the telly....and to see Split Enz back together all grey and silver but still fantastic it was great.........the only thing missing was Cold Chisel.....

maritime, it seems to load okay for me here, but there's just not much content on the page yet....just a way to do a friend request, and the short video/song sample. That's about it so far....do you get at least that much?

maritime...when I was there all you could do was make use of the "add a friend" option. There were no pictures or music clips.

The SwingDogs will be at Dee's Bar in Ely, MN tonight. So if you happen to be in the middle of absolutely nowhere later today stop in and check it out.

Hmmmm, even back then he was destined fer Chicken-something....Chickenfingers doesn't have the same oomph to it as Chickenfoot :) Oooooo, u don't think he fried up chicken feets do ya????

Slan, thanks for the vote of confidence....webby Jon will take good care of us :) We just hafta get his attention, lol!

maritime, my friend request was answered too. Guess we'll just hafta wait and see what comes next, as always....

chelle, I do believe yer right, Mc would already have a pair of cloggers....wonder if he can get some fer us 3 girls too? They'd be authentic that way....M,m,M,m works fer me! Or even m,M,m,M. We'll sort it out...now to get started practicing....Joanie is one-up on us, she knows how to tap!! I tole her last night she's gonna make the rest of us look GOOD, lol!

Oh, and I'm thinkin some of us are gonna need bras made of steel to keep things from "jiggling" when we dance...that upper body aint'a supposed to MOVE! Mc, what size do u need? :D

SuperSwingDog- How long have you lived in MN?..The reason I asked, my old band went up there in 85-86 and toured a huge area up there. They lived in Minneapolis. I had my first daughter on the way when we found out we were going so I chose to stay behind.

Anyway they ended up on an album put out by one of the Minneapolis radio stations in like 86-87..?? And played the big festival on the river with I forget who all,..I think Van Morrison may have been there. The band was Excalibur,..I thought you may have crossed paths.

The drummer who took my place actually ended up marrying a girl from there and still lives there.

Maritime- I tried posting a link but haven't gotten the hang of it yet but go to tonyspinner.com.
Tony used to play local around the same circuit we did and lives in Amsterdam I think...Check out the tour dates to see if he is near you...tonight in Weert. Tony is an awesome bluesy guitar player and a great guy.

Thank you, Jon! It's reassuring to know gatekeepers are on the job.

AND the best gatekeepers as far as I can see are Michelle, Tracie and Blue_Moon McKenna, roo and all the gang from down under AND of course MARITIME the Great!!! Slanshroom--uncle of guitar land--I read your compassionate statements about Steve Irwin. You have a heart bigger than this solar system!

Scubadaz--Thanks for the Steve Vai vid. That man shows what he learned from Joe. He is one great guitar brother!

Blue_Moon and Cube---You both have so much of Joe to share AND you have your own stories to tell. I would love to hear the story...."Once apon a time there lived in Eire a boy who loved music and would some day get hit in both ears by a guitar virtuoso named Joe Satriani.........." Well ... something like that. In yer own words o course.

Still tryin' to catch up on posts......Gotta go to work today at the library. Hope it's not too crowded today...

Chee101--What would we do without you? I guess we would be missing our main ingredient--your T sense of the world.....a great heart and soul to keep us on the path.

I was listening to STRANGE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC this morning. It's such a great collection of Joe's masterpieces. My faves are Starry Night, Sleep Walk (sounds so familiar from the 1960s), Mountain Song, Hill Groove and You Saved My Life!! What powerful music! Thank you, Joe....

And thank you Jeff Campitelli for backing up Joe with a great rhythm, keeping that tempo right on and having fun with Joe and all those great musicians like Stu and Matt and Galen!

The curly, twirly thing that Robert Plant was taking about at the Grammies is demonstrated in Joe's music especially the song Searching. I didn't know guitars could make bubbling sounds until I listened to Joe's and Steve Vai's guitars!

Love and hugs to all ya great T2Jers.

Thanks for the help Scubadaz..The link is not working for some reason. I thought Maritime might be interested in trying to catch some of his appearances nearby. You should check him out as well. I didn't realize how close to the The Netherlands you are. I need to brush up on my Geography. When you live in the U.S. you think of going to another state, I forget about you guys being all clustered up over there.

burly... the band link

You get this by typing like this, only using the [ and ] for the brackets instead of the ( ) I'm using to demonstrate....

(link url="http://www.tonyspinner.com/")the band link(/link)

See.....substitute brackets [ and ] for the parentheses ( and ) and type everything else exactly the same and there you have it. There's only one space in the whole thing, and that's after the word link....and where I typed the words the band link....is where you can say whatever you want...name it, make a sentence...anything as to what the link is about. Hope that helps!

except I used [ and ] instead of ( and )

It's easy, try it, you'll like it. Chelle couldn't link fer like...ferever and then one day.... *POOF*....it was magical, LOL! She's been a link queen ever since!!
