I need Wolf for a spot partner @ the gym...He's strong brother..no word of lie..Never ridden a ski doo but I am into fast PWCs. (Honda Aquatrax-1233cc 4 stroke crotch rocket engine with a turbo.) I'm thinking of getting some of Wolfs special oil...Don't like chainsaws much..but I do dig the chainsaw solo on Jackyl's Lumberjack.

burly - yes we know and love our sporting heroes in Oz, Marcus is well known. Melbourne is hosting the F1 Grand Prix this weekend too so if you watch you'll see some of lovely Albert Park. It's now at 5pm Sunday ( a "tiwlight" race) to cater for more prime time overseas.

OK Aussies,...You all think your smart..Have you ever heard of Olivia Newton John? :) Just kidding, hey a lot of big names out of Oz.

When I was 8 I used to imagine she was singing to me..I had a huge crush..Then I moved on to Farrah Fawcett...It never worked out between us either.

Really like the two new Chickenfoot cuts. Joe rips and sounds incredible, and I love the rhythm work between Michael and Chad. Very tight. Sammy, of course, is just Sammy, which means it's just straight ahead rock-n-roll: Cocktails, Chicks and Cars.

Soap on a Rope - A really good groovin' song, nice riffs. I particularly like the solo tear near the end.

Down the Drain - The best of the two, IMO. Terrific riff, and a great hook on the chorus.

Can't wait for the rest of the album, and the tour. Come play in Mt. Shasta!

Tracie- My 14 yr. old wants to see that movie,..Is it a chick flick? A couple of months ago I wanted to see Valkyrie,..we were late and she talked me into taking her to see BRIDE WARS. I was 1 of only about 3 men in a packed house. We sat up front, and when a funny part would come up it sounded like a giggle fest. I will admit it was not a bad movie but I was a bit outnumbered.

I think Soap on a Rope is my favorite of the 2. I love the riff, especially the slide up to D with the double accent there and on the A.

The opening line to Down the Drain sounds a little like the Peppers. (Give it Away). They did a good job of blending together,..I think we have a keeper here with this Chickenfoot thing.

Skippy- I got to thinking I may have been older than 8 when I had the thing for ONJ. Then I kinda got embarrassed. I remember when Men @ Work came out,..I was in the 10th grade. (16 I think.) And now you have Keith Urban,..Not really a huge country fan but he has talent.

scuba - thanks for the info, I'll get reading as the whaleshark dive would be great. Meantime, is there anything you haven't done dude? I have you down as dive instructor, marshall, guitar teacher and truck driver. Do you get bored easy (and yes, I know marshalling isn't paid) LOL?

Roo - thanks for the mail, top man! Did you leave your shruberry with a bunch of knights?

Igneous - flat, ha ha, not round my neck of the woods it's not. Thanks for the turby info. 30 on the flat on your MTB? I know what you mean about the ads, guess they're all foreign or maybe internet virals

Golden Girl - friends keep sending me all those vids. So I throw them up there alongside my guitar vids. I figure if people don't like the guitar vids they'll find the funnies instead

Skippygirl - ha, I think I'd better let that one drop before I get into trouble. Talking of Aussy racers, do you know James Courtney? Or how about Brett Fancis or Peter Hackett?

Got a new TV this weekend and wow do the Satch DVD's play even better.... now just need a PSATMOR tour one..... : )

Scubadaz- My Satchurator arrived yesterday,..I bought it on ebay supposed to be used only 2 hours. It looks brand new, It would not power up. I changed the battery and still no power. To turn it on all you have to do is hit the button right? DISREGARD

My bad..bad cable:)I like the versatility of the MORE button. It really does have the Joe tone...I like to turn the tone all the way and the gain @ about 11 o clock for some smooth lead then hit the MORE button...Thanks for all who talked me into it.

slans... well, I was saying that because after 4 months at M.I. it seems that I'm starting to recognize the color of each individual pitch, regardless of the instrument that is playing it...
Funny, because we do our ear training with a "movable DO" concept, which develops your relative pitch... so we are being trained to recognize intervals based on any given tonality, which is something that I'm finally starting to hear... And all of the sudden, as an added bonus, I'm starting to notice pitches in things like glasses, doorbells, car horns and such...

So I'm thinking you might not need to get in the shed and listen to the same pitch for 3 years! My guitar instructor says he doesn't have perfect pitch, yet he reads my homework and sings it before I play it, and he nails it! He sings melodies and writes them on the spot and I'm like WTF! It takes me three hours to write an eight bar solo and he does it in 5 minutes!!!

So, I don't know if you need perfect pitch to write, arrange and compose music on the spot like you said you wanted to, but if it turns out that you don't, I'll let you know... And if it turns out that I'm developing perfect pitch, I'll let you know, too... These ear training classes are a pain, but now that I can definitely see some progress, I am very excited and I'm looking forward to the next class...

burly....ooooooooooooo noooooooooooo, wouldn't call that a chick flick at ALL...it's actually quite intense, has lots of action at times...it's the end that made me cry. It's prolly a bit of a hokey ending, I guess...but it's a very good movie. It's one of my son's favorites now. I like almost all movies that Nicholas Cage has done. Without ruining it for you, there are some scenes where u just gotta grab onto SOMETHING or SOMEONE fast!!

Slan, I can always count on you, LOL....that's actually a very cool site, especially since there are 18 complete tunes up of Sammy, or Van Halen. I had them cranked and competing with Chris's video games, lol! Mmmmm, tequila in a nice margarita....mmmmmmmmmmm.....sigh....

So one more time, don't want to leave anyone out but the names were too many to write here...just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday. Had dinner with my folks and my son, and opened a few prezzies. My parents agreed that I dint look 50, but then that's a mom and dad fer ya...eyes of love, lol!

I think the funniest moment of the night though.....we had chicken and all the trimmings for dinner, and instead of cake (cuz my tummy can't really take the sweets anymore) I had asked my mom to make her peach cobbler...sugar free....cuz I love my fruits, lol! Which she did, right after chicken, I dished up cobbler for everyone and it was happily gobbled down by all of us....my mum is a wunnerful cook :) Then I opened prezzies...and on the last thing to open, my dad leans over to my mom and whispers (loudly cuz he can't hear well himself) "Junie, where's the cake???"

We about split a gut laughing cuz he thought there was gonna be CAKE TOO, on top of cobbler. Gotta love im, LOL!!! I offered him a cookie to ease his disappointment, but he was fine :)

So now I'm thinkin, fer his 87th birthday in May, I should just make him desserts fer dinner, lol!!

More tequila AND chickies at the CF shows??? So much for the short lines to the bathroom celebration we just had a while back. lol!

jblaze, Florida it is then. Glad you got a friend to watch out for yer stuff. Yer having a wild time with those dreams and wimmins. Cool about the lady in the bar. Isn't it amazing how certain people show up just at the right moments in life sometimes. There's gotta be more to it than just coincidence.

Movies - we watched Bolt last night. Rhino the hamster is funny as hell. Watched Role Models the other night. Stupid funny, especially when they dress up as Kiss. lol!

And now, for my parting thought...

I don't like Mondays, I don't like Mondays, I don't like, I don't like, I don't like Mondays...

I don't like Mondays either and it would seem that I don't particularly like Chickenfoot - well, not what I've heard so far anyway. Not really my cup of tea. I probably would have liked it more 20 years ago but now I'm an old fart it doesn't really float my boat. Just like the way I now prefer Earl Grey to regular bricky tea. :o)

Of course, I'll still buy the CD; it is just possible that I'll feel very differently about the two released CF tracks once I've heard them through a decent system and at a volume level that befits the style of music!. It's 3:00am now so I'll have to wait another 6 or 7 hours before I can give them a proper blast. I really hope I like them more on a second listening...
