just hook it up like a normal pedal, in the tuner menu scroll down to the different setup menu, sometimes the pod is set up for the "studio" setting when it shud be set up for the live setting or something, cant remember exactly but flick through whatever one works

i take it ur just using it for the effects... shud work aok, mess around a bit with it and you'll get it

roo - you'll need room in yer luggage for me to..won't be much :0).

Scubydazzy - what is the name of the effects thing that makes the guitar sound like it is underwater? One example I can think of is the guitar sound at the start of "Barracuda" by Heart. Have you ever tried to compose something with guitar that gives you the same feeling as diving?

Me I just snorkel whilst hubby dives - you do still see reef sharks etc and if it's the Great Barrier Reef you see heaps of wonderful things like turtles, gropers, wrasses, giant clams and of course the "nemo" fish. If you ever get to Oz you must go to the reef it's amazing diving.

ooh - can play the first 10-12 notes of Ten Words woo hoo!!

Roo....Woke up too early..watching a documentary on the tiny Jellyfish near Australia..The ones you told me about last week.

Skippy...If I make a trip to Oz, I will NOT be in the water...I am watching this scientist who was in the water looking for these jellyfish and found one..or should I say it found him, or actually it got 2 of 'em.
The effect you may be thinking of could be a Chorus or a Flanger..Sounds like progress is being made with you playing.

How are the rest of you Aussies?..I guess you are the only other ones awake. The weather here is starting a nice warming trend. I actually got to do some field work yesterday. Still about a week and a half too early to plant rice.

Hello all you guys from the UK, Spain, NL and our lone Irish friend Alan Mckenna and his new guitar.

Michelle is probably not even awake yet and she is 1 hour ahead. You West coasters are probably well into REM sleep. elpp down in Mexico. Hello Canadians!!

Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Too many user names to recall when you are sleepy.

Lucas...I read your last posts..Please if you are serious, get help. Suicide is no way out. We love you but we are not qualified to give that kind of help. Stay alive...Get help and come back and talk about guitars and Joe and happy things.

In Memoriam

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93.

The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his car phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, "Herman, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on 280 Interstate. Please be careful!"

"It's not just one car," said Herman. "It's hundreds of them!"

HEY EVERYONE!

I hope everyone is doing well. I have been busy for the past couple of weeks with work, running, family, etc. It does feel good to actually write a post to all of you. I have been reading everybody's posts and it looks like there has been quite some eventful things happening there. Hopefully all of it boils down. I miss chatting with all of you.

My work at the Holiday Inn is starting to become quite a handful. I'm the one who constantly does (almost) all the work and there is practically no organization by a lot of these workers. I'm thinking about getting back my other job at the Hilton and work at both hotels. I have done if before for a couple of months last year. The staff and the Hilton said they miss me a lot and they will be ecstatic if I came back to work with them. I haven't made any decisions yet.

My running is coming along well. I try to put in at least 20-30 miles a week. Yesterday I put in a little over 10 miles. My next running race is this Saturday: The Nutri-Run 20K and 5 Mile Run. I'll be doing the 20K (12.43 Mile Run), which is my fourth time doing it. Wish me luck all of you. I'll let you know how it all went down.

Zinc Master: I doubt I'll be doing the Mini in Valpo. I already signed up for four races. Two in April and two in May (three of those are points race). I will be doing the Nutri-Run 20K this Saturday. Wish me luck.

Michelle: I have heard about your sister and I prayed for her as much as I can. How's she doing now? Wish me luck Saturday for my run.

Slashroom: Please let Cappy Steve know that I'm praying for him and (mostly) his wife on her recovery.

Speaking of prayers, prayers to the family and friends of actress Natasha Richardson who passed away.

MY AMERICAN FRIENDS: Do the Stu, SuperSwingDog, Cheese101, GoldenGirl2, Guitarman77897, Castle49, Ibanezplyr, Keniko, JS_JS, Hybes, Tikimon, CosmicApe, Punkdude 75:

How are you all doing, and how are your family and friends, and jobs going? Hope you are all doing well in life. Wish me luck Saturday.

ZachK and Burly: This is my first time chatting with you guys. How are you guys doing?

ZachK: You are quite the musician. My sister is kind of the musician to. She was Drum Major for three years at for our high school band that went to the State.

Burly: You farm? Cool, my Dad is a farmer as well. He's busy with all of the planting that is about to start soon. I lived in the country when I grew up and now I live in the city.

MY CANADIAN FRIENDS: js1200js1000, death cube k, and those who I accidentally left out:

How are things going with all of you? Hope you are all doing well.

CANADA EH!!!!!

MY U.K. FRIENDS: Pip Satriani, Satriella, Igenousiceman, anibur:

Good day to all of you. Been busy with work and running and everything else again. What's new with all of you? Hope you are all doing well.

MY AUSSIE FRIENDS: Roo, Fatape, Dream3 and to all my Aussie friends:

Good day mateys! How are things with all of you? Hope you are all doing well in your lives. C'MON AUSSIES!!!

Skippygirl: Long time since I chatted with you. How are you doing? I have been busy with my work and running and everything again. All of this makes me really fatigued and tired. I almost ended up with another case of RLS, but it did not happen, thank goodness. How's the guitar playing going for you? My next run is this Saturday and it is the 20K. Wish me luck. Tell everyone I said hi.

Blue_Moon: Hey Al. How's the guitar playing going and how was your St. Patrick's Day? I didn't drink because I knew I had that run that is coming up this Saturday.

Maritime: How are you doing man. We all miss ya.

Railton, Tostado, alexandrecaetano, Jamo9, and everyone:

How's it going with all of you?

Well, I better stop now. My boss just called me while I was writing this. I got some banquet set-up to do. Wish me luck Saturday on my 20K Run. Bye for now!

Scubadaz--Thanks for the Steve Vai vid---I was lmao when the classroom walls were shaking, the globe blew apart and the blackboard nearly fell off the wall! Did the grown up Steve Vai "give birth" to a guitar?? I couldn't believe my eyes!

Joe, Steve Vai, Steve Morse and Yngwie are guitar brothers not of this world!!
