Blue Moon - oh great, now I'm predictable. In all seriousness, looks great so do a sound clip or post a youtoob vid of it so we can all hear it. What made you plump for that guitar?

Do The Stu - I expect yours would be funnier so go ahead an post anyway? Sounds like an awesome trip, enjoy.

Hope to get time to get properly caught up soon

Awww congrats Joe...

In the May 2009 Guitar Player magazine, Joe won the GP Reader's Choice Award for Best Guitar Solo on an Album released in 2008 for Revelation, from Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock

They also reviewed some gear, the "New Sounds for 2009" and included Joe's Vox Time Machine delay pedal in their list of favorites for this year.

SuperSwingDog - The Petrified Forest is on my list of stuff to do. Thanks for mentioning the Anasazi stuff...I hadn't thought about that.

That's a bit further north than I was planning on going (I wanted to go more east, maybe as far out as Roswell, and then backtrack), but that does sound fun so maybe I'll rethink things.

Cheesey - how long did you have to wait before Chris let you read the mag? :0)

Do The Stu - Roswell, is that where they store the aliens? :0) Seriously I enjoyed Arizona, didn't get to New Mexico. I vaguely recall going on a "pink jeep" ride through the desert it was great fun. Phoenix I was completely drunk the whole time only remember swimming in the pool. You need to put miles on the car huh?

Glitzy - where are you?

Well, (*sobs loudly*) it is only 10.5 months but our renovations are finally finished, well at least the builder has finished and all his freakin' tradies are gone. No more meeting tradespeople each morning in my jammies (had to wear jammies it wouldn't be right.....). And no more moving from room to room living out of boxes. Can't wait to have the room of my own for guitar stuff. I keep listening to Ten Words to try to memorise it and really need some solid time to try to learn it now.

burly - hope the rain is plentiful and that the crop is going to be a bumper one. We have some enormous rice farms in Oz - have you heard of Cubbie Station? It's 6 hrs west of Brisbane in Queensland.

edit...Oh and Al I love the purple - now you are Alvin Purple (Aussies will know what I mean :)).

Skippy,Never heard of Cubbie Station, is that where the rice farms are? Is Queensland the only area where rice is grown?...Congrats on the new living area. Remodeling is a most difficult ordeal. Enjoy

burly - my bad, Cubbie Station is mostly cotton, not rice.

Here is some info about Australian rice growing, mostly northern Victoria (my state) and southern New South Wales.

Skippy - funny you mentioned putting miles on the car. In this part of the country, or I guess in most rural areas people drive a lot, so distance is not an issue many times. (unless gasoline prices get crazy.) I know in the busy time of year it is not out of the ordinary to drive 200+ miles on my truck a day just running here and there. I hope fuel prices stay lower this year not only for myself but for everyone. I think that will be a key to our economic recovery.

Maybe I wont have to drive to Dallas or St. Louis to see Chickenfoot. And Cheese...About Joe enjoying the hug in the picture...Everyone likes to be hugged by the drummer:)
