Hello T2Jers...Hope everyone had a good weekend and all ready to go at a new week.
We all got some good news on the Chickenfoot project, I am a little jealous of you West coast ppl, but happy for you at the same time.
A diverse bunch these T2Jers but all good. You get along like brothers and sisters. You are helpful and courteous. I am glad to have gotten to know a new set of friends.
Tough week ahead,..I need some positive energy sent my way. A law suit over a contractual matter involving grain is about to increase in intensity. Just know that I am in the right and am battling a legal bear. Pray for me and send whatever positive energy you can.
Have a great week.

My excuse for being a human being........Cat man and Bird woman got married and had 3 daughters of which I am the second........I started out as cat girl because the cats in the neighborhood liked me and followed me all over the place. Then I found a Scotty dog, he was a right hand-full because of his running the neighborhood ways......he didn't like his collar and leash and liked to make the slip on me......I had to rein him in on a harness......silly 3-year-old girl wants Scotty dog she sees in a library book!!! Parents thought she was so cute! Hey mum and dad please act like adults and say no dog......Way too high maintanence! Cat would have been better and would have pleased me dad. They have huge motor purrs and make great music!! Another luni thing about me is I liked Herb Alpert and the Tijiana Brass when I was about 10 or 11!! YES, Al McKenna, I am luni and I'm painting meself GREEN this Tuesday for Saint Patrick's Day!! Maritime--A wetland would be a nice change from the dry Cali weather! Michelle--I mixed up right now!! Tracie---Please send a humane officer to shoot me with a tranquiler dart and throw a net o'er me!!!!!!

SKIPPYGIRL: Long long time ago I signed up to receive e-mail updates from this site. I spent many years without visiting this board but I still kept receiving those updates. I would bet many of the newer site members have never seen that option. Let me try to find it and I shall post it here.
BURLY: Hang in there bro, best of luck!

Lucas: Try looking into what Joe has already said on your subject/question. You may find resources and help there. We don't normally jump all over folks quite so fast. We were concerned that your keyboard broke. I can tell you that "Emotion" trumps all reasons to start writing a song. Finding a style is important, but many of us who play and have projects out on the web use a different style for each song if we so choose. What's your project? Any web ddress we can check out. Are you new to guitar? What country are you in? Then we can better lead you to good advice for your Ideas. Joe May/or not log on to answer your question. It depends on if he's already answered a similar one and it's posted. Good/better luck.

Today is Wolfgang Van Halen's 18th birthday. This feels kinda weird to say, but in a way I'm glad Wolfie is in Van Halen now because it means we get Mikey in Chickenfoot. :-)
I have a tougher question about Joe's VOX pedals. Don't guess what it will be, guess what it will be called!
Two of my early ideas are a Crowd Chant chorus pedal and (this is a bit of a stretch) a Headless Horseman compression pedal.
webmaster - Thanks for your continued help with T2J. :-)
And about the thing you can't talk about, which is probably a Chickenfoot rehearsal...does "down south" mean Los Angeles? If so, can you provide more clues so I can accidentally stumble across the band while they're here? ;-)
maritime - Thanks for the news about the Guitar World preview...I had seen the photos up on Ross Halfin's site, but the article is new.
Ozzy_Fudd - To add to what maritime said, if you have Joe's Live In San Francisco DVD, you'll see that he plays the Snake guitar during Friends.
The guitar was tuned to drop-D. I think he played it on Friends on the Strange Beautiful Music tour, but he hasn't used it since then. I assumed the guitar had been retired, as Joe used a different guitar (a JS-100 prototype) for later drop-D songs like Up In Flames from Is There Love In Space? (edit - this isn't the best picture, but I think this is the guitar I'm talking about).
Personally, I love the Snake guitar and I hope he plans on using it on the Chickenfoot tour. I think it's my second favorite of Joe's guitars, behind the Electric Rainbow.
cheese101 - Thanks for digging up that old Deep Purple video.
When Joe opened for Deep Purple on the ITLIS? tour, they brought him out to jam at the LA show. One of my favorite Satch memories is him and Steve Morse going back and forth before Smoke On The Water at that gig. They had huge smiles on their faces while they were trading licks, and then Steve stepped back and let Joe play the main riff as the song started. I thought that was very classy...
michelle - I love the jacket Joe is wearing in the Chickenfoot photos, but I don't like how he's wearing it. He looks so emotionless compared to everyone else in the band. I guess he's just not used to the rock superstar thing. ;-)
...Austin...
