Slan - There is a story on right now about Michelle Obama's J Crew fashions. Personally if you're spending news time on her 200 dollar shirt or if we were talking about McCain's wife's 2000 shirt, it's still a waste of valuable news time. See Obaman was actually smart. He outspent McCain by a record margain during the campaign. Michelle is lucky she's wearing a 200 J Crew and not a 20 dollar Kohls knock off!! There, that's news of the morning. now on to less important things...Job cuts increased by a huge margain in March over February.....ho hum....I wonder who made Matt Lauer's suit this morning............

I was listening to the Extremist this morning and PSATMOR---Great albums. I can't get REVELATION off my mind. Joe, with Revelation you show a maturity and perfection that is out of this world! It tells a great story about you, your generousity, all about boundless love and how contagious that is......It's about victory and weaving a seamless fabric that catches people along the way.......you caught me with ENGINES OF CREATION first and second with CRYSTAL PLANET.......I prefer CP because of Secret Prayer, Train of Angels and ZZs Song........Yet I listen to the whole album and feel its blanket of comfort and I am in a better place. I would love to spend a day with you......just to experience a day in the life of Joe Satriani........Would that be possible or only in my dreams? What would all you T2Jers think of spending just one day with Joe and what would you bring with you?

[GG2:][/b] GG, I'm not much on jokes. On the Epilectic front: Steven Wilde has a "Stress seisure" disorder much like that, that is treated with the same or simmilar meds. have you looked into having his doc adjust them or look for better alternantives. When Steven was on Depicote, he had problems with it, then after a long time the doc realized that they could use something else that now works full time instead of him having seisures thru the meds. It's always best to be a patient as you can be. They do snap outa it and will be okay in most cases. It's some times harder for someone else to see it that for the pperson going thru it, depending on your experiences. Nothing to play around with or Joke about. I'm sure if Steven had a computer now he could give you some great advice on the subject, mush better than I could. GB Keep Rockin' I do! Randell

OK...I went through the 450-something pictures I took on my trip and picked just over a hundred that I put in a Google Picasa web album.

Or you can see an album of my 60 favorites on Facebook.

If you want a list of all the music I listened to on my trip, that is also on Facebook...but you need to have your own page to be able to see it. Give me time and I'll copy that list somewhere else that's open to everyone.

Now that Chickenfoot tickets are starting to come in, can someone take a picture to share with us (assuming the ticket actually says "Chickenfoot" on it)...? Cover up any barcodes/seat numbers, of course, but I wanna see! ;-)
GoldenGirl2 - Secret Prayer is one of my favorite songs from Crystal Planet...I wish he'd play it live (I don't think he ever has, unless it was in the CP tour setlist).

What are some of your favorite songs from The Extremist? My favorite Satch song is Why, from that album...it's a bit crazy, I know, but what do you think of it?

Listening to: Pear Jam - Ten (current song: Master/Slave)

scubadaz, if only you could schedule a delivery! you think I haven't tried that? These guys basically expect you to be home all day waiting for your freaking package to come... they even have the nerve to point that your package will be delivered between the hours of "9 and 5" and I just can't believe it! WTF!

When you tell them you are trying to make it easier for all parties involved, they tell you they can't do that, they can't even tell you around what time the freaking guy is going to be around your neighborhood...

So, you can either just hope for the best or go pick up your damn package a week after you were supposed to get it, because it has been in transit all that time and you missed all three attempts to deliver... and how dare you have a job that lets you buy the shit you just ordered in the first place? you should be a f***ing telemarketer or something and work from your couch so you can wait at home for any package you might receive between the hours of 9 and 5...

wow, I'm angry today! sorry...

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!

I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I haven't wrote to you all in quite a while. I have been busy with running, work, family, etc.

I mentioned to you all I had that 20K Run back on March 21st. The course was all brand new and hard. My legs were hurting me when I was going through so many hills. As a result, my time was 1 hour, 24 minutes, and 12 seconds. I was 2nd in my age division and I was 14th overall out of 125 runners. I have another two races coming up on the last two Saturdays of April.

TO ALL OF YOU T2JERS:

Do the Stu (Austin), Zinc Master, SuperSwingDog (Dave), Cheese 101 (Tracie), Michelle, Burly (Steve), Zach K, Guitarman77897, GoldenGirl2 (Millie), Castle49, Ibanezplyr (Randell), Keniko, Hybes, Tikimon, JS_JS, Cosmic Ape, Punkdude 75, Gotta Have Joe (Kayla)

Guitarvibes/Maritime, js1200js1000, Death Cube K, Slashroom, Cappy Steve, Scubadaz (Darren), Igenousiceman, Satriella, Pip Satriani, Anibur, Taane (Ian), Fatape, Roo, Dream3, Railton, Tostado, alexandrecaetano, Elpp, and Skippygirl (one of the best for last)

To everyone else who I left out:

What's happening with all of you? How's life treating you these days? I hope you are all doing well. What's going on with your lives? By the way, my Mom had surgery yesterday and it went well. She had one of her lymph nodes removed (a swelled saliva gland to be more exact). She went back to the hospital today to have some drainage removed. I thank God that it all went well. I hope everyone's families are doing well also. My prayers are to all of you and your families. Keep your head held high and stay cool, and positive.

I also had some blood tests done a couple of weeks ago. When they took the needle out of me, I started feeling warm, my color was fading, and I almost passed out, but I was okay. They just took a little too much blood out of me and it is all good. I just got the results today. The results are all great, just a couple things that are a little low and one that is a little high.

Work is coming along well. I am thinking about getting a second job. I thought about going back to my prior job at the Hilton to work, but I don't know for sure. I heard and think a lot of people at the Hilton want me back. I have worked at both places before, but for only a short period of time. I found out my schedule today and I have to do double-duty this Saturday: Work in the restaurant in the morning and then work in banquets in the afteroon/evening.

Running is going well. I ran two half-marathons, one Monday and another yesterday. I am working on trying to do a full marathon with the help from Joe on my MP3 Player. The most miles I put in nonstop I think is 18 miles. A lot of my friends and coworkers said I am ready for a marathon, but I'm not sure yet. What do you guys think? Do you think I'm ready to do one or not? Give me your honest answers/opinions.

For those who mentioned to be about breathing techniques for running, try breathing in every two steps and out every two steps. Also try to start out easy and then start increasing your speed near the end. Keep practicing and trying because the more you do, the better you will get. If there is a group/club for those who like to run, perhaps you can join in. I joined one last year and it was fun and my times have gotten better.

Joe: Hope things are going well with you and the band (Chickenfoot). Keep up all the excellent work you have done for all of your fans. I cannot wait for your guys' new album to come out. You're one excellent guitar virtuoso ever on this planet.

Webmaster Jon: Keep up the excellent you do as well.

Stu Hamm, Jeff Campitelli, & Eric Caudieux: Rock on you guys!

Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, & Chad Smith: Rock on!!! Show us some love on this forum please.

Well, I better stop now. I will chat with you all later. Best to all of you and your families, friends, coworkers, and everyone. See ya!!

cosmic_ape - Nice...which delivery service is that?

I have big problems with UPS. If they miss a delivery they put a sticky note on your door (but, being in a locked apartment building, that doesn't always happen). They'll try to deliver it three times, or you can call them and they'll hold it at the distribution center...BUT you have to call them before 7 p.m. With the hours I work, I don't see the notes until like 11 p.m.

Say they try to deliver a package Thursday when you aren't home. You get home at 7:01 p.m. and see their note, so you call to tell them to hold it at their distribution center. But it's after the cutoff, so it'll still go out for delivery again Friday whether you'll be home for it or not. They're closed weekends, so that means you can't pick up your package until Monday morning. So from the end customer's point of view, their weekend is 3 1/2 days long...that's half the week! Ridiculous...

I think FedEx is great, though. The last time I missed a package from them was because I was in the shower. I immediately called them and they said I could pick it up after 6 p.m. THE SAME DAY. ::gasp::

Glitz Man - Glad you liked the pictures. I'm not sure what my next big trip will be...I don't have anything planned at the moment. Maybe it'll have something to do with a Chickenfoot gig? ;-)

What are your favorite Satch albums to listen to while running? I listen to EOC a lot at the gym, and I think PSATMOR goes great with working out as well. Nothing beats headphones at home, I know, but...

Guitarman77897 - Even though it's been in the news since last year, Coldplay wasn't actually served with the lawsuit until the band was in LA for the Grammy's in February...so that's when the legal "clock" starts.

Coldplay will probably want to drag it out as long as possible, as a ruling against them with a lot of publicity would jeopardize future ticket sales and other stuff. They're touring the US through August, so it'll be a while.

There are court-imposed time limits on things (30, 45, or 90 days, for example), but they can still stretch things out. They could have 30 days do acknowledge receipt of the lawsuit, then another 30 to "try to work things out" before going to court (which I doubt they'll do, as Satch has already tried). And the lawsuit asks for a jury trial, so they have that whole selection process to go through.

If it gets that far, I think the trial itself will be very short. But based on what we know so far (and not every step of the process will make the news), I'd say we could still be at least six months away from any resolution.

In related "news", while searching the internet for lawsuit updates I came across Coldplay's attempt at an April Fools' gag. From their site:

Good morning. It's been announced today that Coldplay are to boldly go where no musicians have gone before, by recording in zero gravity. Later this year, the band will board a modified Boeing 727 aircraft, which can provide zero gravity for periods of 20-25 seconds at a time. Wearing self-designed outfits based on early Russian cosmonaut suits, they will be joined by producer/collaborator Brian Eno, who will use custom-made "heavy" microphones to record the sessions on a 1969 analogue cassette player.

"We've been searching for the right environment to record the perfect snare drum sound for many years now," Chris Martin told Coldplay.com, "and I've just got a gut feeling that zero gravity is the place to do that, y'know?"

::yawn::

Man, they must really like If I Could Fly...
