Thanks Guys & Gals for the positive comments on my revelation video. Appreciate it, thank you... and to top it off, I also have my CF ticket - sweeeeeet!

Scubadaz - guess maybe you joined up after I'd been posting about it, but to cut it short my cat got sick and then died and I was upset. Revelation was stuck in my head throughout all that and then the video happened and so I put her in.... to remind me. Anyway, which presenter was it you didn't like for F1? Grooved tyres came in in 98 BTW, after Schuey "accidentally" turned right and met Jacques Villeneuve

Igneousiceman - man, it was only days ago when you said "wish they'd punish someone other than Lewis for a change" and then.... typical isn't it. Not that they have anything against the kid or the team!? Brawn have been around for a lot longer really. It's the car that's had the most time spent on it, just not as much on track time, but the simulator and wind tunnel is normally pretty close anyway. Hence it being so good, so far.

Burly - my head got cut off : ) Consider me the headless guitarist. I guess I should learn Joe's Headless Horseman to get a theme going...

Cheese - nah, you don't really want to see all of me in a video. I'm too tall to fit in fer starters. I always thought the train at the start of the boogie vid was relevant to the shuffle rhythm, but other than that.... Joe musta wondered what was goin' on?

Skippygirl - I thought them apples were alright, but wanted webber to win, and when lewis fluked third I was comfortable with that at the time. But I'm not a fan of Jenson Button the person having met him.... so, go Reubens ; )

Ha ha, yep it's looking official now that more and more people are spotting the fingers. I'm pretty long in general. Apparently on one of the vids I'm giving the world 'the bird' LMAO

Roo - thanks mate. Yep, it's a JS3, 1 owner since new. I've mentioned it on here in relation to yours. I met Vai in 06 in Perth (G3) and trust me, my hands were outgunned at the handshake LOL. I expect Pablo Gilberto is the same. It's an optical illusion in my case, but I can see what you mean

JS1200JS1200 - skippy has saved me the old linkety link business, but in case you missed it I've done a few satch covers on youtube, channel is joesatrini. You'll know it's me, I have no head....

Cosmic Ape - thanks man. Is it obvious it's an original Donnie? There are so many good copies out there you obviously have a good eye.

Ibanezplyr - dude, I am in the shot ha ha. It's partially because I shoot widescreen, but mainly as I just focus them on the guitar so that if anyone wants to pick things up from the vids then it's pretty clear what's going on. Plus for anyone that wants to just listen they're don' gett distracted by my Vai style gurning LOL

Do The Stu - thanks for suggestion! I checked the archive and listened to Will Ferrel...sorry, Chad. Good stuff. What ended up on your stereo for the trip? Summer song on permanent loop right : ) Did you post anything about the Paul Gilbert gig? Ignore comment about the trips for the songs, just caught up - here is a Chickenfoot ticket for ya

Blue Moon - NICE shot of the bridge. Was that on the day you cycled it? Hey, you said ECHO ....... ECHO...... echo ...... and now I'm All Alone

Cube - cheers man

Guitarvibes - thanks for the cool chickenfoot link

mikesb - sorry to hear that about your pops

Goldengirl - thank you

Glitzman - wow, 2 half marathons. V Impressive!

Rite, 3.40am... gnite all

Do The Stu: It is hard to choose a favorite Satch album because I like them all and all the songs, which helps me relax and stay focused when I run. When you go on your Chickenfoot road trip, are you going to take somebody, or meet up with any T2Jers? I like to go, but I'm not sure yet. If so, I think we ought to have Michelle, Tracie, Millie, and everyone meet together and have a thrill/experience on seeing Chickenfoot. What do you think?

Scubadaz: Congrats on the Chickenfoot ticket. I'm sure the concert will be an experience like no other. I can't wait for them to do a U.S. Tour here. What does the ticket look like? My blood pressure was 118 over 64 after I got my blood drawn.

Skippygirl: Thank you for your honest answer. I wrote down a list of marathons I might do. The best one for me, right now, is Chicago and that's in October. Sorry I couldn't chat with you sooner. It seems that my job is getting the best of me. We had a number of people staying in our hotel: A college baseball team, the Derby Girls, and even a wedding party. I even have some of my neighbors/tennants at my apartment complex wanting to know about my job there as well. I'm "the source", "the man", or "jack of all trades" for the people. If that's the case, then why aren't they moving me up? They know I'm like one of the best workers and they don't want to admit it, and I'm only 24 years old.

js1200js1000: It's both. I write the names down, but I also try to memorize them as well. I'm glad you had a wonderful vacation with your family. I think I need one badly. I constantly have too many things going on and almost everybody wants/needs me to help them, mostly my coworkers & boss at work. I guess I'm really flexible to them, but they should know better. I have my running and I'm not going to sacrifice my races just to help them out by coming in to work for nothing.

Pip Satriani: Thanks for the praise. I'm getting there on a full marathon. I have done 18 miles nonstop, but now I think I can go further. I saw your Chickenfoot ticket. How cool is that!? I hope you enjoy that amazing experience.

Death Cube K: I hope the water/floods are not causing all of you too many problems. We have some storms going on here and around our area. Prayers to you and your folks.

Well time for bed. I have tomorrow off, but I'm on call for work. I'm going to see my parents in Harlan to see how they are doing, especially my Mom since her surgery. I'll chat with you all later. See ya!

GlitzMan: Thanks for the breathing tips, I shall definitely try it out. Keep it up!

Austin, so u did go to the Thing!! What did u think about it?? I was more creeped out by the desert tarantulas than anything else there. :)
You got some very good snow there, in March no less. Cool pics dude

GoldenGirl2: If I could spend a full day with Satch I would bring my guitar and have him teach me as much stuff as I could take in for about 3 hours. Then I'd ask him to give me his tour of the Bay Area. You know, it's one thing to pay for a prearranged tour, and something completely different to have a local show you around. Then probably hang out at a blues joint or something. And I wouldn't tape or record anything, 'cause the mind gets lazy when it knows it has backup. Maybe catch a football game (in season, of course). U know, just hang around with the guy. I think that would be cool.

I must say, if I had answered this question 10 years ago I probably would've said "all day long jam". :)

scuba You need to make sure the ticket is not exposed to light, moisture, extreme temperatures and shaking or vibration (since it's the key to a night many want, few will have ;-)

Gee thanks GuitarVibes - just rub it in why don't you? Do you think there is way for you to meet the band at the show, and if so, can you say hi from Skippygirl and give em a hug?

Scubydazzy - *drools from corner of mouth* - wow look at that baby, for heaven's sake don't lose it. All I have in my ticket collection at the moment is -

1. World Cup qualifier Australia Vs. Japan in June at the MCG - awesome 2. Pink in July, mainly for my daughters and a bit of fun with my sister-in-law and her daughter 3. French & Saunders in July, for a larf with my girlfriends.

I need a Joe or a Chickenfoot - Joe please give me some love down here in Oz.

Glitzy - you keep working hard and it will happen, maybe not how you think but it will lead to something up the ladder.

cosmic_ape - Ah, interesting... So where's your nearest UPS distribution center, in case you miss delivery and have to go pick it up? I have to drive way out to Cerritos...argh.

Skippygirl - Don't be negative so soon...Chickenfoot might still have plans for Australia. It's a smaller market, though, and wouldn't be one of the first ones that the band hits. So it's not unusual to have no news yet. They're doing Europe in the summer, the US in the fall, and...maybe Australia in December? I can see that happening.

I think this summer will be Sammy's first in Europe since he left Van Halen. And VH didn't ever play Australia until after he left, so there's a chance he's never been there.

If the album does pretty well, I think Australia is very likely...

Pip Satrini - Thanks for posting a picture of your ticket...seeing "Chickenfoot" there makes it more real and good. :-)

I don't know that I ever did share anything about the Paul Gilbert gig. It was good though, haha. Give me a day to piece some thoughts together and I'll post something here.

Glitz Man - We need Chickenfoot tour dates before I can start to plan a road trip. ;-) But I'd like to hit a show or two in California on my own (or with family) and then maybe travel somewhere. No formal plans have been made but I think there's talk of swarming michelle in Pennsylvania. That sounds good to me.

If that doesn't work out, I'll probably go to St. Louis to catch a show there in addition to California...I have an uncle there who's a big Sammy Hagar fan.

elpp - The Thing was very cool...I love goofy stuff like that. My favorite thing was the possible Hitler mobile, I think, but then again I'm a Simpsons fan so... ;-)

That was a fun stop to make after a long day of driving. About 10 years ago my family drove to St. Louis and back...and I'll never forget the huge drug store, Wall Drug, in South Dakota that we stopped at. It was the same deal as The Thing, with billboards advertising it 100 miles away...

Since I have learn ed to breathe in 2 and out one, expanding my lungs, it really helped me with long stints on the Arc Trainer@ the gym.

Thanks GG2Proud to be a friend. Hope all goes well for you and Steve.

Cube - thanks again man but I have no doubt you could do Echo better than I did it. I admire originality more, and you've got it and chops to match!

Hi JOE, I'm an Italian boy and I love your music. I know your parents are Italian, too. How do you consider my country? On 5th July you'll play in Lignano Sabbiadoro, but I have high school exams those days, so I won't be able to see you in concert... I play guitar I have a Swedish Hagstrom F20 Deluxe. I always have seen you playing Ibanez guitars, why did you choose that kind of guitar? My father says that you could play a Fender or a Gibson for the blues solos... If you answer me I'll be the happiest boy in the world! Sorry for the English... Thankyou for the time you've lost for reading my message. YOU'RE My Legend!

Austin, I've only ordered one thing so far since moving to L.A. so it hasn't been bad... The route in this area takes place usually after 5 so I was home the second time (the first time the usual guy called in sick so somebody else was doing his route at a different time)... But when I used to live in Michigan, the nearest UPS center was over 60 miles away! Most of my animosity came from past experiences...

Either way, they never tell me when they're gonna be around or let me schedule anything over the phone so I just suck it up and wait...

Mornin' people. I'm slowly catching up on your messages. I wouldn't want to miss any of em for the world!

Thanks for all your support. I was a dead woman walking on Monday and Tuesday, but things started to turn around on Wednesday. Steve is doing better and his primary care doctor called him Tuesday night! They had a good talk and just after that he got a call from a neuropsychiatrist at Stanford! Thank God!! He was a lot more calm and we hugged and talked about meeting with two doctors at Stanford---made appointments for next week and week after!

Al--Thanks for the "waterfall" vid great song and cover AND yes, I'm smiling o course! One of me favorite lunis, you!

Igneousiceman--This forum would be missing a ray of sunshine without you....Thanks for your support!

I had to roll the credits to clear out all the cobwebs and shit goin' on. The attitude of gratitude is a powerful antidote to hard times. Joe, Thanks for casting your wonderful musical net over and waking me up to great horizons of pure joyous guitar songs!

GoldenMilli ;-)

Has anyone been to a Zappa Plays Zappa show? I've never really listened to much Zappa, though I do recall a song, FHITA, that one of my brothers used to talk about. He loved Zappa and would walk around singing some of the weirdest shit.
Anyway, Zappa Plays Zappa is playing locally next week. Would it be worth going even if you weren't real familiar with the material?
