Swing dog- I know you would have and alot of ppl would when faced with what you and others are facing, I understand, it's just these young guys and we are guilty of spoiling kids more that we should. Best of luck with everything. and Thanks fore the guitar advise.
Scuba-In the future if I want to ask a question like that I will email you or any one else if that is OK. I edited that post to direct comments to my email: satchafunkilus66@yahoo.com
I guess I am sort of naive about how much this kind of things stir ppl, but my intentions are not to. Sorry folks,..Don't want to be a troll

Mornin' everyone. It's been bloody hell the last 2 days with effing depression!! My husband has been suicidal off and on since Monday!! I had to be on physical and mental guard like an attorney to knock down all this bullshit about "It's the end of the world.....it's the end of me.!" "How can I go on?!" Bloody hell!!! He and I were on the phone to doctors at least 2 hours yesterday. Steve is so effing stubborn, he wouldn't get in the car to go to the emergency room! Stupid epilepsy and seizures F things up and I am holding his hand! Staring spells, face drained of natural color, amnesia, trying to talk and words not getting out--that's also bloody hell! Fortunately, The Mood Blues Seventh Sojourn CD arrived in the mail yesterday and Steve and I listened to the peaceful, soothing music we remember from our vinyl days, we also listened to the Extremist (Thanks, Joe!) which is so amazing and the perfect prescription for the blues.
I'm a fighter......yes luni, maybe.......I hope you can understand how life gets turned upside down by epilepsy and depression that often go together. Please pray for me.
Thank ye. ;-/

Been away soo fekkin long impossible to catch up so:
Congrats to whoever deserves it, the opposite to whoever deserves it, Joseph i shall check out some more "foot and see if I am still on the fence. My son allowed Windows XP SP3 to install on my craptop and now the fekkin soundcard don't work, little twerp.
Maritime, viva guitarvibes
Heard from Stevee T, the man is now married and two kids, 10 and 8 were part of the deal!!! He never made it to Arizona, is still in LI and is too fekkin busy to even think straight.
The father in law is finally gaining some strength back. The a-holes in the hospital finally figured out he has two ulcers and could not keep any food down so now he is nosetube fed. He may get out of the hopi in a couple of weeks then to a rehab home for a helluva long time I presume.
My pop has chosen to stop fighting his cancer and ride it out. He has had three ops in the past two years and is not willing at 84 to make a 25 mile trek each way for specialized radiological treatment that would last 6 weeks for 6 days a week. Offered him a furnished appartment near the treatment center and he said no, the grief and sideeffects are not worth the less than 1 in 4 chance any good will be accomplished..... C'est la vie and the beat goes on.....

burly...I hear ya. A majority of kids today are basically fat and lazy. When I was a kid I would'nt get home until the street lights came on, wet up to my knees and covered in dirt and pine pitch. These days I can't even get my son to come outside sometimes. It's frustrating.
I caught Jeff Healey on my birthday about 7 or 8 years ago. I was floored. He was sitting down for the first part of it. But suddenly he leaped up mid-song, kicked his chair ten feet across the stage and when absolutely ape shit. Easily in the top three memorable shows of my life..

Mike - Sorry about your Dad. That's the same decision I would make. I saw my Mother's struggles with the treatment and the quality of her life during the vain attempt to prolong it.

Mikesb, glad the docs finally pulled their heads out for yer dad in law. Sorry to hear about yer dad. Man, that sucks, but I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. 84 years is a fantastic ride. My best to the entire family. Good news on Stevee T.
Anybody hear how Cappy's wife is doing? Let's not forget to keep sending them good vibes.
GG2, sorry you and yer hubs are going through the wringer.
Skippy, I said back on the 20th that these CF tunes were sexy and heavy. Now having the interview to back that up just goes to show - they still got it like that! lol!
Listening to Down The Drain now :-)
edit - LOVE Sammy's scream at the end!

Here's a Chickenfoot thing that's not from Music Radar, for a change...
...Austin...
'Burying the Hatchet' tour to feature Van Halen, Chickenfoot
LOS ANGELES - It's finally happening. In what is certainly one of the most surprising moves in rock 'n' roll, VAN HALEN has announced a fall 2009 U.S. tour with support from newly formed supergroup CHICKENFOOT.
"Van Halen has patched things up with its former members, and this tour -- 'Burying The Hatchet', we're calling it -- is a reflection of that," said guitarist EDDIE VAN HALEN.
Eddie's current bandmates include his son, bassist WOLFGANG VAN HALEN, original vocalist DAVID LEE ROTH, and drummer ALEX VAN HALEN, and they will be touring in support of a forthcoming greatest hits package.
Chickenfoot traces its origins to the short-lived supergroup PLANET US -- NEAL SCHON and DEEN CASTRONOVO of Journey, SAMMY HAGAR and MICHAEL ANTHONY of Van Halen, and solo guitar virtuoso JOE SATRIANI -- and will be releasing its self-titled debut album in Best Buy retail stores across the United States on June 9.
The Chickenfoot album features the lineup of Hagar, Anthony, Satriani, and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer CHAD SMITH, but the band has different plans for the tour.
"With its tours over the last two years, Van Halen fans have shown that they're comfortable with change," says Hagar, who replaced Roth as lead singer in 1986. "They kicked me out of the band in 1996, and Mikey was forced out a few years later. It's about time we did something just as crazy."
Just how crazy? Satriani's 17-year-old son Z.Z. will be playing bass with the band.
"When I first heard that Wolfgang would be playing bass in Van Halen a few years ago, I have to admit I was shocked," says Satriani. "But then I realized my son is just about the same age. If Eddie's OK with it, I should be fine with it as well."
Satriani's son is no stranger to performing, having played sax on his 2008 album, Professor Satchafunkilus And The Musterion Of Rock, and bowed bass on the song Bamboo, from 2004's Is There Love In Space? (Another track from that album, If I Could Fly, made headlines recently when Satriani sued the band COLDPLAY, saying their song Viva La Vida infringes on his song.)
Not only have Van Halen and Chickenfoot both recently fired their bassists, but they also have something else in common: Roth and Hagar toured together in 2002.
Former Van Halen and Chickenfoot bassist Anthony won't be left out in the cold this fall. His side project, the MAD ANTHONY XPRESS, will be opening select shows on the "Burying The Hatchet" tour.
The Van Halen greatest hits collection, BEST OF: VOLUME II, is scheduled for release September 15 on Warner Bros. Records. It spans the Roth-led years, 1978-1984, and will only feature the songs from the Roth era that are already available on both 1996's BEST OF: VOLUME I and 2004's BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
Chickenfoot's album will be re-released the same day, in every retail outlet in the U.S. excluding Best Buy.
Ticket prices range from $19.84 to $51.50 and go on sale April 1, 2009.

Have a lot of time on your hands, huh?
Very entertaining though.
Even though I knew it wasn't true - I read every word.
Lots of thought was put into it.
