Australian GP - aussies, yer man Mark Webber is a hero. He's just revealed he broke his shoulder as well as his leg... and the rehabilitation training. There is NO way you get me in a Hyperbaric (?) chamber at -120 degrees.... and he quips "I'm wearing 2 pairs of shorts to protect the wedding gear"... LMAO and he's just gone fastest in Q1. Would love to see him win tomorrow
Scuba - ah, the old verified by Visa bit I guess you're describing. Stuff the licence, I won't tell...
Blue Moon - that's good to hear, it looked pretty sore in the pic. Soon be time for a vid with the new guitar then : )
Skippygirl - you have (more) mail. No seating (as such) at this gig, unreserved standing on the balconies or standing on the floor level. The virtual broadcast would prove tricky unless I could get a laptop in and some wireless. Guess I could sneak a netbook in down a trouser leg LOL
Burly - 5am start for me, and I can't resist watching it live. Very interesting so far. I can understand you liking Toyota. Well built kit. Same as Honda & Mitsi. Shame you had to miss out, but like you say at least you didn't pay so not too bad
Roo - fatape is going to the SBE concert???! Think you got myxomatosis : ) I don't see the UK video police letting me get past them with the camcorder etc. Mind you if Anibur is in the balcony.....
Back along, I remember the BBC getting very interested and behind Joe and broadcasting from Hammersmith. Maybe there'll be fluke and it'll happen again...
Do The Stu - no worries, you asked, I delivered. But surely someone stateside shouted ya first? I didn't get a delivery report so wasn't sure they made it. Trip sounds cool!
Punkdude75 - congratulations!
Time for a weekend video then - Revelation ... played by Pip
Ok, time for breakfast. Laters all, and have a great weekend

Unless I win the $20million Lotto draw this week, fatape is only WISHING he was going to the SBE gig...Mind you...with that amount of money I'd be hiring them to play at a private party here in Oz and shout all the local T2Jers to a free evening of meet and greet!!! So wish me luck in the draw.

Letter from Ukraine
Dear Mr. Satriani, this is the letter from Ukraine. From the country, you didn`t visit with your concerts:)))
I’m Bogdan Yastremsky (I’m 22), who is one of your best fans. The history of my friendship with your music is not so long. Actually, it started 4 years ago when my friend gave me disk with rock music, where I found a few magic mp3 (sorry) compositions: “Cryin`”, “Friends”, “The Extremist”, and of cause “Always with me, always with you”. I put CD in the player and heard an interesting melody. Frankly speaking, it was something amazing I have never heard. Than I tried to find whose music it was. At that moment I hadn’t internet, but I was very interested in. And by the time I found: Joe Satriani. That was the first step.
The second: I tried to find and collect all albums with your music. The first was “Super Colossal”, than “Is There Love In Space?” , “Flying In A Blue Dream” … Now I have almost all CD-DA albums except 4, which I can’t find (but I’m sure, it is question of time). As for me, every is unique, different, and full of beautiful melodic compositions.
The feeling is always positive and it is great. I have a lot of friends who think in the same way.
And the third: by the time, naturally, I asked myself: “I love this music so much, will I ever see real “SATRIANI LIVE” show in Ukraine?”. Maybe “Yes”, maybe “No”, who knows, but the “Hope dies the last”.
So, this letter is, at some point, a result of a BIG WISH not only my, but also my friends, to see you in Ukraine, in Kyiv. Be sure, there are a lot of people who appreciate your talent, your music.
Thank You Joe for everything. Thanks your great band, thanks everyone who helps you to create such a “strange beautiful music”. Thanks a lot!
Welcome to Ukraine! We’ll be waiting for you!
Your best Ukrainian fan Bogdan Yastremsky

Golden Girl - If there was no vegetation on the hills there would be mudslides. They need to quit issuing permits to build in high risk zones. The people that are already there do what they can to keep the area around theiir home "defensible". When the winds come though ...

This bastards heart's improving. But I did reserve some of the few seats at the venue where CF plays because of my limited stamina. Did take my first bikeride in 4 weeks today in the busy streets of A'dam. And still alive. One step closer in the return to a more normal life. I like training at the fysio 3 times a week, just wish I could do more allready.
Watching F1 qualifying on BBC; nice sunny down under!

hey joe. congrats on all your sucsess . hope this is another good year for you . i have a question ? i have been playing guitar since 1993 . the only song i ever had anybody teach me was crazy train . the rest i pretty much learned on my own . i want to play lead guitar and have somewhat of an idead what to do . I know where all my chords are on the top 2 strings and the bottom 2 and can sometimes make up a pretty decent lead bwhen the chords change ( lets say i am playing in the key of D and i switch to the key A and G and back to the D ......i get kind of confused because i dont know what to do or where to go on the neck ... i have never had anybody show me how to play lead or scales or anything . i have tried to buy books , and dvds , i actually bought in the style of van halen a long time ago ,, learned evrything they showed me but it was just showing me everything that he was doing in different songs and it really didnt help me any . you are a very very big influence on me and i love the way you play . i can feel in every song that you have poured your heart out into every note . you are by far the best guitar player in the world .....do you have any advice or know of any books or dvds that would help me ? this might sound crazy but when i make up a rythem i can hear the lead in my head but dont know where to go on the neck . i figured if i asked anybody i would ask the man him self . thanks

Hey everyone, Chickenfoot stuff!
I'm totally jazzed by all the stuff coming out and can't wait to get my hands on that album.
I've been listening to some new stuff recently, has anyone here ever heard of Omar Faruk Tekbilek?
Joe's interest in Asik Veysel got my into listening to Arabic music and stuff, and this guy is one of the best I have ever heard I swear.
His stuff is so peaceful and soothing but also can be energetic at the same time. He plays the Ney, a reed flute, and the saz and a few other instruments, his music is sooo deep, it has touched me.
So thank you Joe for opening this world up to me through Asik Veysel, Omar Faruk tekbilek is another you might really really like.
A couple of his greatest songs, this guy is awesome.
I Love You

Satriella--Thanks for the cats vids--that acrobat cat was funny lmao!! And the Cat Satriani.......now there's a future cat rock star!! I think he/she needs lessons from Joe or one of Joe's students!! LOL!
Tracie--A Chicken foot gig at Slims and I didn't know about it!!...what the feck??? I really am preoccupied with so much stuff in my IN BOX, which is overflowing. Thanks for the link, anyways....you are on the Joe trail.....T the West Coast Sentry!
Guitarvibes--Just a correction to the message from Rolling Stone regarding CF....."No one's buying CDs anymore, you need to be inventive these days." The first word needs to be changed from "No" to "Fewer people are". I know this requires more page space, but I think the information needs to be factual. I am "someone" and I still buy CDs and I am not alone. Other T2Jers buy CDs and there's nothing wrong with that because it is something that (for me) I can hold and look at pictures and read the credits as I am listening....It's my time with Joe and so very important to my health/well being. I completely agree with the second part of the statement about the need to be inventive---Well of course!!
Michelle--Thanks for If the Beatles were Irish!! Roy Zimmerman is hilarious!!!
My blessings on A McKenna and M London.....I hope you spend the rest of your lives together in bliss <3 ahhhh, love!

Burly--Yes, my husband's name is Steve Moritz. He and I enjoy listening to the other Steves' music......Steve Vai.........Steve Morse........Steven Tyler..........SRV..........Steve Perry. Any Steves I may have missed?? Joe of course and Joe Perry!!
I listened to Joe's Strange Beautiful Music this morning and am in love with STARRY NIGHT, SLEEP WALK, MOUNTAIN SONG, HILL GROOVE, THE JOURNEY, THE TRAVELER and YOU SAVED MY LIFE. The guitar rests over his heart and Joe pours himself into his playing like no one else....It's one of the biggest cups of Joe.....And then there is ITLIS in my car CD player with my favorites.......ITLIS of course.....JUST LOOK UP......SEARCHING (with all it's fun spirals of ecstasy) and BAMBOO. I am in so deep....this is mind-blowing, curtains of surround sound--Super Audio!!
Chicken Foot in June at Cork, IRELAND! and 2 dates in Holland!! How is that possible--Heerhugowaard and Weert in July!! GUITARVIBES--I hope you can go to both shows!! I'm sure Joe would enjoy seeing you there!
