Pip Satrini:-Finally,someone noticed the BC Rich! As for the model,well....it started life as a stock standard Platinum series from the early mid '90's(strat type body, humbucker with coil tap and two singlecoils in middle and neck, locking nut but strangely, non locking Floyd type trem with fine tuners). I saw it in a pawnbrokers and as soon as i felt the neck i was smitten. I paid $100 Aussie for it.

After a couple of years of thrashing it I felt it needed a couple of MINOR adjustments(yeah, right). Because I have rather wide hands reaching the upper frets was always hard coz of the lower cutaway not being deep enough.Solution=JIGSAW!!! B-e-a-utiful!!! Fret access was now easy...but now the upper bout looked odd.Solution=JIGSAW!!! Cut the useless thing right off!!! NOW we're getting somewhere! DAMN!!! Now the jack end of the body looks too round for the neck end.Solution=JI.....you know the story by now!!!AWESOME!!!! Now I had what I was after. Next, rip out ALL wiring, pickups, knobs and switches.Done. Install Dimarzio "FRED"(what else!!!) into bridge position a "brand unknown' single coil(supplied by my best bud Ozzy_Fudd) into the neck with one volume and a 3way toggle selector.Coat it with black, design and make my own scartchplate(cut out with my FAVOURITE weapon of chioce!) and...Voila!!! Eddie Van Halen has his "FRANKENSTIEN", I have my "MISTRESS" So there you have it.My obssession in a nutshell.

(If anyone from BC RIch is reading this and is willing to offer me a large sum of money and/or royalties for the design and name...... you know what to do!!!)LOL.

C'MON AUSSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Al- Support Arkansas rice farmers...Drink Budweiser or Bud Light. The vast majority of my rice crop usually ends up going into making Bud and Bud light.

Just watching VH1 Heavy (the story of metal) Rob Trujillo talking about he and his friends as young boys turning out the lights, lighting candles and listening to Zeppelins scary sounding songs to frighten themselves. I can remember being a small child and being scared of Robert Plant's vocal chant on "Immigrant Song". but grew up and liked it..

A lot of new visitors lately..welcome to Satchland.

Blue Moon - true love you say? I think after one of your mega drinking sessions I could see you singing this to Cube..... Endless Lurve

.... and I reckon this could be from your home video collection. As it's a BH weekend, might we see a vid with the new guitar?

Cube - like Stockholm syndrome then, as you said

Scuba - maybe you just thought I was cheap LOL. That particular day I was testing a Zetec FF, privateer outfit. Damn fibre stuff is so fine, I guess it literally gets under your skin

Guitarvibes - Cool edit pro looks good. So did you stream the tracks through Cool edit in order to "grab" them?

Igneous - I was hoping to get out but the weather turned, so back to Lance's training ideas. I see he had a bizarre episode with drug testing recently. I'd have reacted the same if some random stranger came and asked for samples...

jdublu - I can recall one owner on here and he loves hids BDG. I was thinking about it, but will replicate with a BP instead. I've been told by an Ibanez dealer that both the BDG and JS20th "have more factory issues than anything normal production should have".... so before you buy give it a really good check over in good light before you shell out that kind of money

Fatape - LMFAO... go jigsaw! I dare you to use one on a JS series.... it sounded really good, which I'm putting down to your technique and the Fred/mods, because previous BC guitars I've heard weren't very nice to listen to. So I guess you give the Mistress a regular thrashing.... don't we all. But how does the missus feel about that ; b

JS1200JS1000 - that guy's crazy.... but good! Thanks for the sub & comment on YT. Just one JS at present, but I want more, they're so great to play. Take it you have a 1200CA and a 1000BP?

.... and there goes 3.30am. Night all

(early morning typing not up to scratch)

Ozzy_Fudd:- Duuuuuddde!!!! Don't worry, the JS is safe...it's your seven string I'd be concerned about!!! Access to the upper frets and all...(insert robot voice here) WARNING! WARNING! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! (now insert sound of high powered JIGSAW) BWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

By the way, to all of you T2Jers who celebrate it, HAPPY EASTER!!!

Hey all,

When does Joe get home from this European promo tour webby Jon?

OK T2Jers, once we get the answer to that, let's run a contest to guess the day and time that Joe posts some blue here to give us an update? I sorta figure he will want to tell us how awseome the promo tour was and how great the first shows are going to be, so it won't be long after he gets home.

Ozzy Fudd - so you are a fabulous baker boy then? Did you make heaps of hot cross buns? We get the Brumby's chocolate ones, they're awesome!

DO THE STU: Fly drive, was superb. . .

Flew in to LA, then to Palm Springs, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Page, Bryce Canyon, Las Vegas, Visallia, Yosimite, San Fransisco, Monterey(managed to walk round Laguna Seca) and back to LA.

Was really cool and will definitely be doin it again.

JS1200JS1000: Main guitar is a black RG with mirror plate, through a JCM 800 head and a 900 top cab, tried out a JS1000 last weekend, stopped playin it just before I got asked to stop (I think!) JSBDG on the cards though!

PIP: Thanks for that, I'll check it out thouroughly, but I think there may only be a crazily low number in the UK, may not have alot of choice, but hey I'm 90% sure, the last 10% hangs on seeing it etc, so we'll wait and see (but c an't wait!)

Do you know of any other issues with them?

Pip: I have a black JS100(secondhand), Ibanez RG27sp and a 7 string ROC AXE. The 7 string cost $100 from the pawnbrokers. It's the cheapest piece of crap you would ever want to play but the pick ups really scream.

Skippy: I'm at work now. Thank the gods it's all over. No more easter buns for another year. I used to like easter buns......

Good morning/ evening all!!..Got a bit of rain nite before last, still a little wet. It's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Cube- I understand the stand alone Whammy does not have any lag, is that true?

Thoiba 2- Hi and welcome. Joe is really busy now with obligations to his solo career plus the upcoming Chickenfoot album release and tour. Joe comes in once in a while when he gets time and posts any news and occasionally answers some questions. Just understand that he is very busy. When you log on and see an entire post in blue text with his name beside it, you will know. You asked about which guitar I am using:

I have several very old acoustics with no name, that I play occasionally just because they have a great sound and feel, Here is a list of what I have in addition to these:

1983 Martin D28 acoustic

1992 Fender American Standard Stratocaster

1982 Gibson Les Paul Studio( which I gave to my daughter)

???? Ibanez SZR series( beautiful and a great player, fixed bridge)

???? Ibanez RG 1570 ( This is the guitar that I am trying to acclimate to.) Te action is very low, the neck is fast which I am having to get used to. I still like the comfort of the fatter necks on my other guitars. This guitar is forcing me to be less aggressive on fretting each note and bending as well as my pick hand.

Joe's lesson on modes is a great down to earth theory/ demo lesson. Try this handy tool that helps me. Mode Master This should help. I would begin my memorizing the notes all over the fretboard if you have not already.

Update on the electric/ acoustic...We made a trip to Memphis last Saturday. (Guitar Center) A very helpful older gentleman with a great deal of knowledge on elec/ acous, pointed me in the direction of a Yamaha which is very similar in fact almost identical to the Ibanez, It uses a 9 v. battery vs 2 -AAs in the Ibanez and I also liked the position of the control panel on the Yamaha. It is a great playing guitar and sounds great as well. Priced at $350.00 was a pleasant surprise.

Whaazzup Aussies?!!! What have you guys done with Roo? Now get some sleep will ya :-) Good night.

PIP an Scuba- F1 racing this weekend?

You know the pirate situation in off the coast of Somalia just blows my mind. My son-in-law did a stint in the U. S. Navy and called home one day and told us they were in pursuit of some pirates in the Mediterranean. I immediately got a mental picture of a Motley bunch in funny hats with peg legs and hooks on one arm. I say change the laws where any boat can carry a 50 cal. gun and sink the B@&#ards when they approach.

Watching video Adam Ant "Strip"....just because that's what is onVH1 Classic...Just watched Eddie Money and thought about Alan.
