scuby - so which seat did you get, A18 looks to be the best one to me.
fatape - I booked my virtual seat a few weeks ago ahead of you but I'll happily sit on yer lap if Mrs fatape and Mr Skippy don't mind, we can fit more people like burly and Ozz Fudd and Dream3 (and maybe roo if Mrs roo puts her foot down, er paw) if we double up like that :0). Wow I feel better already knowing so many Aussie T2Jers are on the virtual bus with me.
roo - you are the IT boy, is there a way to put all the Aussies at the venue i.e. some sort of videoconference or skype or something?????? What if Pip takes a wireless internet device with a mic and camera and we all log into a site at the co-ordinated time (bearing in mind any prohibitions yada yada).

Pip- F1 qualifying @ 1:00 A. M...I hope to be sleeping peacefully. So what is your favorite manufacturer? In NASCAR I have always been a traditional Dale Earnhardt Sr. Chevrolet die hard fan. I still am a Dale Jr. fan but to be honest with ya, If he can't do well I root for Toyota,..Yes I know I am probably getting screamed @ by my fellow Americans, but I have driven them personally for years and quite honestly nothing else is as durable as a Toyota. What I do to a truck is pure punishment. I have a 2009 Tundra Crew Max 4 wheel drive with the 5.7 and so far the only other locals brave enough to race me are the guys with the new Dodges. I made easy work of them and they were single cab 2 wheel drives. This thing will move. I wish I had an easy way to mod the computer as is shuts down @ 109 miles per hour. What is that about 75 - 80 kmh? That's what I do for fun. We have some long deserted highways out here in the country and have to let loose once in a while.
I had 2 tickets for the Martinsville, VA. race Sunday but can't go, They were freebies so I am not totally bummed.

skippygirl: Hahahaha good idea.
Options starting from super cheap and progressing to stupid:
Starting point, get fatape to remember the concert, come back here and reproduce it in text on the forum..
next would be take a mobile phone, upload the shakey, overdistorted video to youtube.
Next, sneak in a handycam, with good video and audio, upload that to the group.
To broadcast live, all you need is a video camera, decent microphone and a computer to transmit over a wireless wan connection! - hmmmm, maybe difficult to smuggle in!
Then you can talk to the guy on the desk and ask for a direct patch from the mixing board. Get a few mates with video to video from different angles, get a fake id for backstage and dress like a ninja so you can walk around on stage and film them up close, hang another friend from a harness and rope so he can fly over the audience..... setup your own broadcast mixing desk out in the carpark and get your mum to switch cameras, etc...
Ahh forget it, I'm just gonna buy the DVD.
Joe? Chickenfoot MUST be organising a decent video recording of one of these first concerts at a music festival in Europe aren't you? That would be a very cool DVD to own. One of the first ever Chickenfoot concerts - historical awesomeness - recording the point in history where the future is changed forever, leading to eventual world peace and harmony and the establishment of the first "Church of the Foot".
Amen.

Hybes- wasn't the 80s fun?
GG2- Is Steve your husband? I am sort of new so I am out of the loop on this.
I had a great uncle who had epilepsy and knew a guy in school with the disease. So many perplexing illnesses like autism and epilepsy, maybe in the near future with all the new advances in medicine that are coming into play they can find cures for these and others like cancer.

Hi everyone...just posting a quick note to say I'm back in Long Beach now, safe and sound. I'll catch up here over the next few days.
The highlight of the trip for me was it SNOWING at Petrified Forest National Park. I haven't been in snow for about 10 years, so that was very cool. I'll share more (words and pictures) later...
Oh, and Phil...thanks for the Chickenfoot texts!

Australian GP - aussies, yer man Mark Webber is a hero. He's just revealed he broke his shoulder as well as his leg... and the rehabilitation training. There is NO way you get me in a Hyperbaric (?) chamber at -120 degrees.... and he quips "I'm wearing 2 pairs of shorts to protect the wedding gear"... LMAO and he's just gone fastest in Q1. Would love to see him win tomorrow
Scuba - ah, the old verified by Visa bit I guess you're describing. Stuff the licence, I won't tell...
Blue Moon - that's good to hear, it looked pretty sore in the pic. Soon be time for a vid with the new guitar then : )
Skippygirl - you have (more) mail. No seating (as such) at this gig, unreserved standing on the balconies or standing on the floor level. The virtual broadcast would prove tricky unless I could get a laptop in and some wireless. Guess I could sneak a netbook in down a trouser leg LOL
Burly - 5am start for me, and I can't resist watching it live. Very interesting so far. I can understand you liking Toyota. Well built kit. Same as Honda & Mitsi. Shame you had to miss out, but like you say at least you didn't pay so not too bad
Roo - fatape is going to the SBE concert???! Think you got myxomatosis : ) I don't see the UK video police letting me get past them with the camcorder etc. Mind you if Anibur is in the balcony.....
Back along, I remember the BBC getting very interested and behind Joe and broadcasting from Hammersmith. Maybe there'll be fluke and it'll happen again...
Do The Stu - no worries, you asked, I delivered. But surely someone stateside shouted ya first? I didn't get a delivery report so wasn't sure they made it. Trip sounds cool!
Punkdude75 - congratulations!
Time for a weekend video then - Revelation ... played by Pip
Ok, time for breakfast. Laters all, and have a great weekend

Unless I win the $20million Lotto draw this week, fatape is only WISHING he was going to the SBE gig...Mind you...with that amount of money I'd be hiring them to play at a private party here in Oz and shout all the local T2Jers to a free evening of meet and greet!!! So wish me luck in the draw.

Letter from Ukraine
Dear Mr. Satriani, this is the letter from Ukraine. From the country, you didn`t visit with your concerts:)))
I’m Bogdan Yastremsky (I’m 22), who is one of your best fans. The history of my friendship with your music is not so long. Actually, it started 4 years ago when my friend gave me disk with rock music, where I found a few magic mp3 (sorry) compositions: “Cryin`”, “Friends”, “The Extremist”, and of cause “Always with me, always with you”. I put CD in the player and heard an interesting melody. Frankly speaking, it was something amazing I have never heard. Than I tried to find whose music it was. At that moment I hadn’t internet, but I was very interested in. And by the time I found: Joe Satriani. That was the first step.
The second: I tried to find and collect all albums with your music. The first was “Super Colossal”, than “Is There Love In Space?” , “Flying In A Blue Dream” … Now I have almost all CD-DA albums except 4, which I can’t find (but I’m sure, it is question of time). As for me, every is unique, different, and full of beautiful melodic compositions.
The feeling is always positive and it is great. I have a lot of friends who think in the same way.
And the third: by the time, naturally, I asked myself: “I love this music so much, will I ever see real “SATRIANI LIVE” show in Ukraine?”. Maybe “Yes”, maybe “No”, who knows, but the “Hope dies the last”.
So, this letter is, at some point, a result of a BIG WISH not only my, but also my friends, to see you in Ukraine, in Kyiv. Be sure, there are a lot of people who appreciate your talent, your music.
Thank You Joe for everything. Thanks your great band, thanks everyone who helps you to create such a “strange beautiful music”. Thanks a lot!
Welcome to Ukraine! We’ll be waiting for you!
Your best Ukrainian fan Bogdan Yastremsky
