Scubadaz - Seems to me that one couldn't imagine that scenario, perhaps you're speaking from experience?

What's worse is having the knowledge that you're imagining me with my trousers round my knees!

Backs to the wall chaps, there's a bandit about.

That is a big garden - much larger than mine.

Mine is about 20 (or so) X 5 feet (or so) in a raised bed - that needs more dirt.

One thing I forgot to mention about the Sammy Hagar show was that so many people were warm and receptive to the idea of him playing with Satch. They seemed happier about him than they did about Mikey, which seemed weird to me.

I was talking to a few people about it in line and heard comments ranging from "Satch is amazing and it'll be awesome" to "I have no idea who he is, but he's in my son's guitar magazines so he must be good". And then there was the drunk guy inside who was yelling "CHICKEN FEET!!!" for about five minutes until someone told him he had the name wrong...haha.

Cappy Steve - I don't understand what Cat Stevens is doing at all...he hasn't filed anything in court, so I guess it's just publicity that he's after. But to answer your question, if he sues Coldplay it won't affect Satch. Cat Stevens is the copyright holder, and he can choose to sue or not on a case by case basis.

Let's say there's one band that has a melody that's 90% his and another band with one that is 75% his. He could choose to sue the second band, win, and not go after the first one at all...even though they may have done worse. It doesn't mean anything until they're sued.

andy of uk - Awesome...thanks for the link to that other stuff from the Squares.
chocolati - Hi...welcome to the site! What are some of your favorite Satriani songs? When/where did you first hear his music?
Ya Yo Gakk - Wow...it's cool to see you back here again! How've you been?
Skippygirl - I was wearing my red PSATMOR tour shirt, and I was dead center (maybe a step toward Vic's side) no more than five people back from the stage.

I looked at that video you posted...it's too dark to tell, but that tall guy in the bottom center of the frame might actually be me. I was standing just in front of two other tall guys...one was wearing a hat and the other had a shaved head. The guy in this video has hair, though...so maybe it's me?

payay - Hey, your song is pretty cool...thanks for sharing it.
Satriella - Coldplay will drag out the lawsuit for as long as possible. A lot of the steps in court have deadlines in place (30, 45, or 90 days, for example), and you can expect them to wait until the last day before acknowledging receipt of things or filing papers.
matt king - It's cool to see you here, too...what new music-y things have you been up to lately?
cheese101 - But come on...how fun would it have been to read 8 hours of wild speculation, before I made my post-gig post? And you passed it up! ;-)

Glitzy--I'm still practicing my acoustic Fender even when it growls at me! I don't think it appreciates my forgetting that it has 6 strings instead of 4 (as my violin from many years ago had). It says, "Hey, get with the program.....I have 6 strings and that means you have to look before you move that right hand! Stop bumping into strings that aren't called for! The A string is NOT the D string NOR is the D string the A string....get that through yer thick head ya luni!!! Sometimes, I think my guitar wants to kill ME! If the guitar ever grew legs and arms.....yikes! I'm freaking myself out!

Anyway, I'm practicing some songs that go from the low C to the 3rd fret on the high E.....my fingers are still not cooperating to form the F chord and I'm miffed at meself!!!

Blue Alan Moon--With Mother's Day in mind....this Sunday in the USA.......How many Mums do you have including me, Michelle and T. Safley??? @;-D

Blue Alan Moon--Cat Stevens has a better case i think

You got that right! I noticed the melody is so exact right about 3:37 for about a whole minute and then again at 4:50 on! And to think Cat is no longer Cat! I like the feline creatures...they give lots of affection mostly and have musical purrs that often sound like either a Harley-Davidson or a Mac Truck! Oh, not that KIND of cat....well, ok k.

Milli goes off into luniville again....blame it on the charms of Alan McKenna!!

My apologies to Cubester. ;-)

Austin - I don't mean to be picky, but my somewhat (very) tongue in cheek rhetorical Q was " is he by default also alleging that Joe plagiarised him as well?"

I was just having a bit of fun, I do it a lot.

I can see you take all things Joe (and other musical matters) very seriously and that's very cool, me i'm not so cool, more like a cynical old fart.

Keep rocking,

Steve.

matt king - A space pirates rock musical? Well, that certainly sounds like something that has never been done before...haha. What a neat project... Can you post a link to the newest piece of music you've recorded, whatever it is?

I left my job at the newspaper about two weeks ago...they moved our office and offered a buyout in the process, so I took it. So I'm looking for work at the moment. It kinda sucks (OK, it really sucks), but I'm optimistic. :-)

michelle is still around here...I don't think Paul Clark or ovation1/Mike have posted in a long time, though. I have Mike's email address...maybe I'll send him a note to see what he's up to...

Cappy Steve - Haha...well, I'll blame me not getting it on you not being around here for a while. And I guess my comment was more in response to everyone who said something over the past few days (I think this was the first I commented on it)...it just had your name attached.

I do appreciate the humor though... And I promise you I don't take EVERYTHING seriously...go back and read some of my April Fools posts here. ;-)

cheese101 - I think GoldenGirl2/Millie is just trying to make Al give Mother's Day gifts to as many T2Jers as possible. :-)

Joe - so it's Chickenfoot because that was the name of sammy's first ever band? Really really??

Good to see you around here so much lately.... have you ever met Ben Stiller by the way?

Not sure if everyone can link to this:

Joe Interview... you'll want to listen from 1 hour 5 minutes

Here's a cool PIC from it too, but no larger version I'm afraid

Cheese - thanks for posting those Bone interview vids. Wahoo - the bone rock girly... she seem nice : )

Michelle - holy carp, that's a mighty set of lyrics (Metallica). I reckon that's tellin' it like it is! Did they write that at/about someone in particular? Cool that your fella's job is safe.

Ozzy Fudd - those rehearsal photos you posted were great. Love the WTF one from Joe, hil-ar-ee-oose!

skippy - you missed another Joe item? You're losing your knack! ; b Just teasin. How's Ten Words going (better when I have the guitar room set up she says)?

Cappy Steve - welcome back. How's things, and glad to hear the Mrs is on the mend

Kayla - congrats

Scuba - good footage there. Nice to see peeps stop to help with the GN Vitese crash. I have driven a 67, and a 68 from memory, and probably 57 too? Oh, & Joe mentions me on one of the vids on Stu's channel : )

goest - I expect you'll find it's not Simon Cowell's sort of music and therefore he'll say no, but you never know. You can find the relevant books in any good music store, or at the stores website, or try amazon, ebay etc. They'll also have some mention of the relevant effects in there as well. For all three of those I'd say mild overdrive and delay are going to be involved.

Guitarvibes / Burly - LMAO, I forgot about Larry Bill.... and will this come back to haunt CP.... "I bet Chris regrets what he said to Rolling Stone mag in 2005: “We’re good, but I don’t think we’re that original. I regard us as being incredibly good plagiarists."

Blue Moon - where are you digging up those photos. Cool stuff.... apart from an almost naked stevey on his tractor, that's just wrong LOL

Igneous - Time machine I believe has the 1st string tuned down to D. Live I think Joe went with standard tuning, other than for the Time Machine promo stuff. I did mine in standard tuning. Did you see Lance slightly messed up with Twitter? His video about it is pretty cool

Do The Stu - LMAO, this is great... "the bonus that came with the Guitar Center version of PSATMOR is a DVD...it features about a second and a half of yours truly. Oh, and then there's video of three live songs from the SWTA anniversary tour, and some making-of PSATMOR footage...if for some reason you're interested in what that Satriani guy is doing .... Thanks for the Sammy review... must be a CF one next?

Alexandrea - congrats man & hope you can fix the JS issue

Night all

A stand out memory for me!

Thanks Joe!

Joe I was reading your post about Andy and wanted to tell you that you helped me in my battle for soberiety. I got my Master's Degree in Alcoholism while I was in the Marines. There it is normal to get off work and get hammered and wake up and repeat. Somthing they fail to convey when you get out is that that type of behavior is frowned upon in the main stream. So I struggled with Whiskey for about 10 years and woke up in the hospital one day and was told that the previous day I had been admitted with a BAC of over .35. Legallly pickled. So after realizing that my life was headed to an end real quick I decided to go to rehab. Once I got out I was trying to decide what to do in the evenings besides drinking myself into oblivion. I had learned a little on guitar while I was in the military, so one night in my basement I was listening to Ice-9 and decided to learn to play it. Ever since then, if I get the craving to drink I grab one of my guitars and attempt to learn a song that would have been impossible for me to try to figure out with all the booze in my system. As of April I have 3 years with out drinking. Thanks for giving me a target to try to aspire to. Last November I finally got to see you live at the WIltern. You are truly amazing to see live. Looking forward to the Chickenfoot tour. Next time I'm gonna have to bring my JS-1000 to get it signed :)
