I like def leppard.....does that mean I'm into cock rock??? Strange!
My Steve and I saw The Flying Scotsman last night......great movie. I can relate to his situation with despicable monster bullies.....shameful! First in elementary school.......briefly in high school and then the corporate world......twisted upside down goons of the lie!! Depression sucks the life out of good people, damn it!!!

Austin, June is not even posted yet at M.I... they don't think that far ahead... But I haven't seen performances open to the public that much... there was one with Marty Friedman last December, but that was the only one since I've been here... I'm gonna have to hide in a drum case or something ;)...

scubadaz - I REALLY like U2, and it's quite an experience to see them live. I saw them twice in 2005, just down the street from where I would see and interview Satch a few weeks later. I was talking to him about the show, and it was one of the few times I've seen his face genuinely light up. Not that he fakes it other times, but you know what I mean...
burly - I don't recognize the name Ian Moore, but How Does It Feel? sounds VERY familiar. So I guess I've heard it before...it's not a cover, is it?
Guitarvibes - Awesome!
I'm seeing their Unwigged and Unplugged tour in a few weeks...it's not the same, I know, but it should still be very cool.

Speaking of Def Leppard, someone called a radio station back in the early days of the band when they were first getting airplay, and with a classic redneck southern accent ( which I kinda have too) asked them to play that new guy "Dale Flippard"
My views on Hammet are that he is very creative and shows it on material like just about anything from the Black Album. I was just not a fan of the speed metal days. Of course I was into hair metal, had long hair (when I had hair) I even had a mullet and wore parachute pants, bandanas and japanese print shirts ( in the high school days) I was in to Kiss, Quiet Riot , Motley Crue, Ted Nugent, AC/DC,Foghat and too many to name.
I really do appreciate U2 for their musicality and creativity. I never went out and bought a U2 album,..I don't know why. I guess they got enough airplay to provide all I needed. I'd have to say that I do like U2.
How Does it feel is an Ian Moore original. Austin you probably heard it on the radio. Check out the studio versions. He is good friends with Billy Bob Thornton which is how he ended up on Slingblade. Ian is a little "out there" but hey that's OK.
I'm going to bed early folks, I have been out in the cold wind all day. I wish you all a good week.
Has any T2Jers from Italy checked in? I didn't notice as I glanced through the posts rather quickly. TTFN

Ozzy_Fudd--Thanks for the interview with Joe about his pedals and a little about the ChickenFoot tour.....It's gonna be an interesting summer.
Cube---Interesting to hear that the Edge is a guitarist behind the singer and not a "gunslinger" type who needs to be out in front all or most of the time. Nothing wrong with either kind...just different ways/styles of performing.
What happened to all the sisters in this forum?
Michelle and Tracie where are you? Is Anibur around? Skippygirl---I'm getting to know more chords by heart and getting the changes........slowly......slowly.
Satriella--What's happening?
Glitz Man--I'm doing better this week, but I still wasn't able to see my psychiatrist today.....He called again at about 1 this afternoon to say (yet another) emergency came up and he had to cancel all his afternoon appointments! That's the second time I have had to reschedule an appointment with him because of an emergency! He wants me to call him back tomorrow to reschedule! If psychiatists weren't so difficult to find here, I would find someone else. Tomorrow, Steve and I see a neuropsychiatrist and his epileptologist at Stanford.
As for Joe's CDs....I have 15....I erroneously said I had 14 in an earlier post. I DON'T HAVE Dreaming #11....I think it has been discontinued, The Beautiful Guitar (this is also hard to find), G3 Live 1997, Additional Creations, G3 Live in Tokyo (DVD), and Surfing with the Alien---Legacy Edition.

BTW--Glitz Man---I can use all the help I can get finding the 6 CDs/DVDs I posted previously. Amazon was no help.
Guitarvibes---The Marc Resch book is getting more interesting as I read about how the Dutch made their imprint on early America, the Hudson River valley, New York and New Jersey. Amazing.....your ancestors!

Millie, that was Tracie talking about August Rush. I know...we look a lot alike so people confuse us. lol! As for the Pagoda, it is beautiful, but the city below it is crime ridden and has gotten so much worse since we moved away. I lived there for 26 years. I feel bad for the good people who are stuck there with all the crime. Some 65 yr old dude just got his head bashed in with a hammer and a bat, and that was about 1 block from my mom's house. Turns out the dude was a John running a whore house for the Mexican immigrant workers. Ties to New York. It always end up bad. Sometimes ya never know who yer neighbors are.
Okay, I watched the Train Kept a' Rollin' vid again and I stand by what I said. Beck blew it. lol! Hammett might not be more talented than Beck, but he threw down when he was supposed to - as did Perry.
The earthquake in Italy showed up on the Richter scale at Millersville University in Lancaster, PA!! Prayers for all who are dealing with that. That was a big one!
Austin, as for the TKaR vid, Page did let it drop. I thought Flea was gonna throw down when he went over into the "circle", but the song was to close to the end. What I wanna know is - how's his neck at the end of every tour? lol!
The Beautiful Guitar is a fantastic cd...just maybe not if yer depressed...unless Joe's ballads make you happy...then it's a fantastic cd!
1. Thinking Of You
2. Cryin'
3. "Always With Me, Always With You
4. The Crush Of Love
5. I Believe

7. Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness
8. Day At The Beach
9. Saying Goodbye
10. Rubina
11. Tears In The Rain
12. All Alone
13. Why
14. Echo

Speaking of movies, and Chris loved August Rush btw....
I watched Baby Mama last night with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler....fun and funny movie, I really like the two ladies in it, they work well together :) Amy is especially funny. Plus I've always liked Greg Kinnear, and usually like Steve Martin in most things. Good movie!
A lot of lives lost in the Italy earthquake, so sad...and they're still looking for survivors. I don't remember if there's anyone here from Italy, but prayers go out to all affected. Some people here may have family or friends there...hope all is okay with them.
Over 70 degrees here today....with possible snow predicted fer a day or two away...ffs.

scubadaz - Oh, it's OK...I know there are a lot of people who don't like U2. I guess my comment had a "You don't like U2? What's wrong with you?" feel to it that I didn't intend.
Thanks for posting those Edge videos. After watching them, I think I'm a bit confused about his approach to music. He says he doesn't want to be a virtuoso guitarist, which is fine, but the way he explains himself makes me think he just doesn't "get" the genre. But that doesn't make sense, because he obviously knows a lot about gear and how to really work to find different sounds...
GoldenGirl2 - Wow...I had no idea Dreaming #11 was discontinued. Next time you're in the city, you should see if Amoeba Music (in Haight Ashbury) has it...I bet they do. Or try Rasputin Records.
The Beautiful Guitar is a compilation album, so you can do without it. I've never seen it in a store, but if I ever do I'll definitely buy it...just because. Also, you didn't mention it, but One Big Rush is also a compilation album from Satch...I don't think it's listed on the discography here though.
Additional Creations was a very limited release...copies show up on Ebay for close to $100.
cheese101 - Yeah, I'm getting antsy...I want my May tour dates. I know the first mention of them as a possibility was several months ago, so I can understand if plans changed and maybe they were scrapped...but Joe mentioned them again in the recent Europe interviews so I guess they're still on.
I wonder if they'll be pushed to early June, so they can truly be "album release" shows? They wouldn't have much time, though...they need to get all their gear over to Europe by the 20th.
Onto your other post...I saw Baby Mama in theaters with a friend of mine (it was her turn to pick, haha). We weren't expecting much but it turned out to be a fun flick.
Mahavishnu - I'm 100% sure I can go to that Jeff Beck gig now, assuming your spare ticket is still available...have you booked a hotel or anything yet?
I'll send you an email...

Hey Joe,
I'm a huge fan of your music,I did not know about your songs or about you until recently i was searching for sum rock music videos on you-tube...and i saw this particular video of you ...the video was titled 'Love thing' and i loved it so much. That was the first time i came to know about you...i was not much of a rock fan...but your music inspired me so much..that I've been practicing daily.....if i would ever get the chance to meet you,i would love to learn from you.And man ..the way you play the guitar...it's just awesome...i don't like heavy metal....but the romantic one's and the blues are just so awesome.I've been playing the guitar since when i was in my 3rd grade, but i was really bored playing it...and i was finding it really difficult.Initially i was attending the classes ...but had to stop due to my academic responsibilities...Now that i'm free..i practice a lot...i bought myself a new Yamaha electric guitar...it's just awesome...but how do you produce those different effects on it? What are these effect pedals...could you give me some advice on those and where i can get them from? I mean what do i have to look for when buying these effects for my guitar.I also want to play like you do.
I'll be waiting for reply...nice talk'in to you....bye for now.
