BEER BY SEVEN YEAR OLDS
A handful of 7 year old children were asked 'What they thought of beer'. Some interesting responses, but the last one is especially touching.
'I think beer must be good. My dad says the more beer he drinks the prettier my mom gets.'
--Tim, 7 years old
'Beer makes my dad sleepy and we get to watch what we want on television when he is asleep, so beer is nice. '
--Mellanie, 7 years old
'My Mom and Dad both like beer. My Mom gets funny when she drinks it and takes her top off at parties, but Dad doesn't think this is very funny.'
--Grady, 7 years old
''My Mom and Dad talk funny when they drink beer and the more they drink the more they give kisses to each other, which is a good thing.'
--Toby, 7 years old
'My Dad gets funny on beer. He is funny.. He also wets his pants sometimes, so he shouldn't have too much.
--Sarah, 7 years old
'My Dad loves beer. The more he drinks, the better he dances. One time he danced right into the pool.'
--Lilly, 7 years old
'I don't like beer very much. Every time Dad drinks it, he burns the sausages on the barbecue and they taste disgusting.'
--Ethan, 7 years old
'I give Dad's beer to the dog and he goes to sleep.'
--Shirley, 7 years old
'My Mom drinks beer and she says silly things and picks on my father. Whenever she drinks beer she yells at Dad and tells him to go bury his bone down the street again, but that doesn't make any sense.'
--Jack, 7 years

Hello
Let me tell you that I admire you as a musician and teacher, because I do not hear you "directly", because I listen your great disciples first, and I am fascinated by all (Kirk Hammett, Marty Friedman, Larry Lalonde, Tom Morello, among others) and more later I discovered your music, I remember that the first song I hear of you was midnight and I was impressed, so then I know all your songs, all your album So I wanted to see if you could answer me, saying if you still teach because I love to be like you.
I `m Tomas From Argentina, And my e-mail is tomas_ks22@hotmail.com
With love Tomas

Al, every once in a while when I read yer posts they make me sit back in my chair and say... "Dude."
Maybe ya need to give in to the powers of the Irish M????
Cube, I like other Jeff Beck tunes, but I think that performance sucked. Guess I just didn't get it. lol! Mahavishnu used the work "honked". That describes it perfectly. lol!
Burly, I don't think I knew that was SRV in those songs. Bowie looks silly with that guitar and the gloves.
Mille, to many criminals, not enough cops.
Tostado, my son had a right inguinal hernia and had surgery when he was only 10 months old. He's 17 now and has had no problems. Good luck in yer recovery!

Didn't I read a long time ago that none of the members of U2 could actually read music? That would also explain why Edge knows very little about his presets. And having watched a couple of their shows, he uses a different guitar about every other song.

Hello all. planted some rice today.I feel better.
Yeah,..now that you go back and listen to Let's Dance and China Girl you say,..wow what a great guitar sound.. I knew I liked something about it. And he barely got credit for it.
I wept when SRV died, and mourned for nearly a month,..It was as I had lost a dear friend.. and I never met the man. My family thought I had lost my mind. I could imagine him in a G3....What if?..He had been clean and sober for nearly 2 years, and was just really blossoming with creativity.
My little brother got to meet him in 89 while he was on tour with his dad on the Benson and Hedges tour. He played the Memphis in May festival in 1990 ( He was killed in August) and I couldn't go because I was busy in the field :-(
I wish all of you well but I must sleep now. God bless.

burly.....The day I heard Stevie passed is etched in my mind forever. He is the basis of everything that comes out of my fingers and onto the guitar to this day. I will forever be learning new things but I will always drift back to that foundation from which it all began. It still hurts to remember his death.

Coldplay challenge 'copy' claims
NME
Billboard
Yahoo news
A pop band saying Joe "lacks originality" is like the pope saying Gsus is his equal. Now get on your knees and worship you CP wankers. I am not a lawyer but the it-is-protected-by-copyright-law-but-it-should-not-be-so-defense is really lame.
To all the Chickenfoot critics / analytics I'd like to say: if you don't like Sammy's lyrics you are always free to put some Bob Dylan vinyl on your dusty record player. Or you may consider music as just entertainment. Like: enjoy it. Or worse: dance to it! As in: wiggle your tight white arse from left to right while your right hand is putting a bottle (no not a glass) of whisky to your mouth. And your girlfriend beside you rubs her nipples with some Cabo Wabo tequila, a joint nonchalantly danglin from the corner of her mouth. After 5 tracks on the CF album you danced up a sweat so she suggests to give you some head. With your pants dropped you put yer dick on the heat-sensitive album cover, it works. During track 6 she's done so you get yer first steak from the BBQ. You never knew music could do this to you. You call your shrink and tell her to f*ck off, and ask your best friend beside you (who actually brought the album) when the next one is released. You haven't smiled so many minutes in years! Is this what those tattood people mean when they say 'let's party'???

I gotta say I love Joe Satriani's music. I think most of his albums are fantastic, but this Chickenfoot stuff just isn't very good at all. Sammy Hagar can't really write lyrics to save his life. Soap on a Rope? Get ya soap up? In a car, in a plane, subterain? Does satch really think this stuff is really that good? I'm sorry but i'm not sure i'd even pay the money to go see this stuff. I mean i could be wrong maybe there are some better songs on the album(as if they could be worse) I will buy the album just to see but i am so disappointed that Satch won't be doing instrumentals for awhile. According to the latest interview he'll be doing it "when he has time".

burly - sounds like a good day's work, hope you get a huge crop. I feel like that when I do a good day's effort in our garden, especially the veggie patch :0).
Guitarvibes - looks like your bog standard legal defence to me, no real surprises, hope it doesn't drag out too long and the expense must be enormous.

So if Coldplay says If I Could Fly lacks originality, aren't they insulting themselves at the same time?
hybes - I don't know too much about U2's history, but I think it was their bassist (Adam Clayton) who had next to no musical training when he joined the band. And their drummer (Larry Mullen Jr.) has said in interviews that he sees himself as nothing more than a timekeeper, which I find disappointing...but oh well.
lorenzo001 - The Chickenfoot album will be released exclusively in Best Buy on June 9 in the US.
Skippygirl - ::shrug:: If Joe wins Coldplay could end up paying his court costs. :-)
Well...it's time to read Guitar World.
