Skippy- He bangs away and can hit with surprising accuracy but he kinda thinks the sound of a rim shot is cool and he likes to whack the top of the bass drum which is a beautiful wine red mahogany. So I am having to cover up the spots he can do damage to. If I tell him to strike the inside of the circle he can, but he has an unbelievable mischievous streak.(which he didn't get from me BTW). My hearing damage might have had something to do with the drums but I blame the giant Magnavox headphones I had as a teenager and Ted Nugent Double Live Gonzo cranked to 11.5.

Hybes- glad to hear you are a drummer too. It's fun to revisit, do you still play?

Austin- Maybe Joe knows someone in the music/ journalism field who could hook you up with a potential employer.

Roy- in the states you'd be dead with a temp of 39 as we use the Fahrenheit scale. We Americans have to be different ya know. Normal for us in 98.6 F. Hope you get to feeling better.

Good day all.

Austin, the coolest part to me about that Lord solo was not just that it was note perfect, it was as close to tone perfect as you can get on a guitar emulating an organ. Of course as was probably the case with the concerts you attended, Bad Motor Scooter and Highway Star were the only songs virtually every member of the small club crowd knew verbatim so the audience participation was magical, at least in Toronto.....

Hey....I'm in the San Fran Bay Area from 24 June till 14 July and wanted to know if there is anything going on where I could see or meet Joe. Any public appearances besides the Chickenfoot thing? Does anybody know anything?

Love Day 4 of the Foot! (You know where it is www.chickenfoot.us) I really think this is a great marketing approach, giving people an insight into the 4 band members and where each song has come from. The rapport between them is obvious.

Burly - I haven't played drums for several years now. I think I was 31 or 32 the last time I picked up sticks (other than playing guitar hero with the kids). I have really thrown myself at the guitar. It's funny because I have always had more interest in guitar...I just was naturally better at drums.

Did anyone else receive an email forwarded from someone that contains a chickenfoot download? I have not opened the file because I didn't know what it was.

A knights tale is one of my favourite movies of all time...well when it starts with a medieaval ...darn it how do you spell that...ok starts with a joust and all the audience are are singing and doing the motions to we will rock you...you know its gonna be good...along with the blues brothers of course!

but I found the soundtrack at a boot sale last week for a quid...awesome...and there is an eric clapton track which is great...

http://www.last.fm/music/Eric+Clapton/_/Further+on+up+the+Road

hey JOE...ever wanted to play with Eric?

I have to admit that I have not really heard much of Eric Clapton before...only the usual...like Layla etc...but this track is muchly awesome...I may have to look into more from this chappy! LOL

Do the Stu - oh well....worth looking into...this day next year or the year after.

Clarky - thanks for the birthday wishes!

Cappy Steve - LOL Trouble is if its a germ....a cricket box wont help much...coz they get everywhere.

Pip - Ta muchly for replies ....great job on overdrive.

Hugs Satriella xx

Morning Tracie - yeah I think the European tour is now definitely going to be HUGE, McKenna, guitarvibes etc better give us a good report but I fear Al will be plastered most of the time :0). So far I think I wish I was at San Fran (for the home crowd) and at Boston (for the small venue) - they seem to have been the best shows so far.

I agree with Austin on "Learning to Fall" it's just lovely.

Have a great day peeps, it's almost Friday here.

Satriella- Clapton is one to dive deep into. If you like that track, I suggest buying the Crossroads box set. It covers his career from The Yardbirds on through the 90s. I also suggest "From the Cradle" Clapton is wonderful with songs that will appeal to anyone who is willing to give him a listen. You need to see him perform before he hangs it up. He has hinted that he may scale his touring way back in the near future ... Enjoy

Good morning everyone!

Joe is with Chickenfoot at the radio station 98.5 KFOX in San Jose (Saint Joe)!! LOL! Greg Kihn and his buddy Chris Jackson are interviewing the guys. So far, they have talked about the Squares. Chad Smith said he's a Squares fan AND Joe said he is holding a vinyl LP of the first Chickenfoot album! This is amazing! Check it out on kfox.com

I know Greg Kihn has been wanting to do this for several months. At last.......a dream come true! Woooo hoooo!!!

Thank you, Joe, Chad, Sammy and Mikey!!

Thanks everybody for all your messages and support! It truely means a lot!!!

I am going to major in child pyschology/ development.

I really want to be able to make a difference. My crazy life has inspired me to do this, and my sister has also been an inspiration.

Im going to just go to the community collage here for the first 2 years and get my AA then go to the state collage for the last 2 years for my bachlors. Its a great way to do what I want to!

Michelle- I was actually awarded the top scholor. but Yes it really just depends. I would so shocked and SOO happy to get it... I cant afford it any other way. The one I got I had to write a letter about what has inspired me... I had 3 topics to pick from... So I wrote about my life with my dad... cause as you know.. It was CRAZY. Then I got a letter of recomendation from my teacher. they really love me and they are actually opening another school just like the one I went to kinda for me. like.. I inspired them to do that...

Skippygirl- actually he played in seattle but I was only a day late for tickets before they sold out which just completly crushed me... but I know I will see him sometime again!

anyway... I gotta run will talk later!

Kayla, congrats on the scholarship... If you're going for Child Development, you should definitely look into Child Speech Therapy for a masters... I hear is a very good career... You have plenty of time to decide... Mrs. Ape thinks she shoulda done that... she chose Family Studies instead...

Cool Chad, now u can play "dress up" with yer Joe....

U know, things like hats, accessories, whiskey bottles, etc, fer parties and Halloween.

LOL!!

Edit: Just in general, out to the cosmos......

Ya know what I don't get? I don't get these supposed "reviewers" who can do nothing except complain that Chickenfoot isn't a rehash of EVH, or Montrose, or RHCP or anything from Sammy's solo career or Joe's....what the hell do they expect? It's like they're retarded, thinking that this group will sound just like EVH or whoever. They are 4 guys with amazing musical histories and backgrounds, who have come together because they all love what they're doing and want to make some music together...and blend into a new whole.

wtf do they get these people to write these reviews anyway? I can see if they just don't like the music, fair play....but to whine cuz it's not more of a particular vibe...well...dey can smd :)
