Al - what's a "utility room" is it where you park your ute?

Satriella - so sorry to hear about the breakup - maybe it's only temporary? Your sketches and scribblings were so full of love messages. And I'm with Dream3 I will beam myself up to join you, Pip, scubydazzy etc at CF.

Dream3 - I might join, not sure of the value but really have not had time to check out the full thing...

Jon - thanks for the update wonder who the lucky winners were. What do you mean by "other" songs??? Do you mean covers by Chickenfoot wow that would be great - aarrgghhh wish there was a tour to Oz.

burly - 'morning mate, hope you have a great day out on the farm. One more sleep to Friday here. Today my copy of the Time Machine vinyl LP came (3 LP set) and I am ogling it and lovingly reading the covers with a glass of something nice. I really enjoy picking up Joe's vinyl stuff - I know it is original and there are no more being made, unlike the CD's - although I do search for CD's as well.

Utility room From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search

A utility room is a room in a house, which is the descendant of the scullery. The utility room typically contains washing machine, tumble dryer, and other appliances which, in houses without such a room, would be in the kitchen or laundry.

I am really curious how some of Joe's songs will sound when played with Chad and Mike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the idea of them having to learn Joe's songs is funny. Or Joe doing some Van Halen and Chilli Peppers, can't wait to witness that. Soon... live......
(A killer surprise would be: Sammy adding vocals to a Joe song, for example Flying in a Blue Dream. Joe's songs are very melodic, you can sing them, just write the words Sam).

Has anyone on the east coast bought presale Chickenfoot tickets yet? Can someone confirm that the "VIP" and "FC Bundle" tickets are the same thing?

OK, I just bought two FC Bundle tickets. I'm not quite sure what that is, but I guess I'll find out soon. I hope I didn't just buy a duplicate fan club membership (I don't think I can, since I needed the fan club code to get in there in the first place)...haha.

I tried to do the VIP tickets but no ticket options came up when I made that selection. My browser froze shortly after that, though, so I hope that wasn't the cause.

If someone else here successfully purchased a "VIP" ticket, can you let me know?

The LA presale is tomorrow...I can go VIP then to get the extra stuff, if I have to.

Confusion!

EDIT - OK, I think I just did buy a duplicate fan club membership. I looked at another show and the packages are more expensive. So, everyone...FC Bundle=bad. Don't do it during the presale. I'll call Fanfire later to try and fix it, but I don't want to accidentally cancel my order now and miss out on the show.

Well, the confusion continues, at least in my world.......

No Austin, the VIP package is different altogether as near as I can tell, it cost $224.50 per person for that......so I went ahead and bought the CF fanclub presale "bundle" .....

My goal was to buy 2 tickets, one for me, one for Chris.....so I put 2 as the quantity (I think it was the only choice??) and so now had to pay just over $160 smackers for these two tickets, fees included. But the way it's shown on my confirmation email, it almost makes me think I just bought two bundles of TWO tickets each for $160.....

Did I just buy two tickets, or FOUR???? If it's four I'ma be so PISSED!!! But it's not very clear as you go through the ordering process, at least not to this tard.

Plus, since these are not VIP tix with all those attached goodies, I have no idea why I just bought a fanclub package?? For $160??? When the adult tix are $50 each???

CONFUSED and actually quite concerned!!! And PS, at least I'm not alone cuz Austin has the same confusion!! Sux lemons I tells ya!!

cheese101 - I edited my post but maybe you missed it. Despite the advice I emailed you, I think we each bought a second fan club membership.

Don't freak out though, and whatever you do don't try to cancel your order. We might miss out on tickets this way...if we were overcharged, we can fix it later.

I can call you to try to explain this, unless you're at work right now...? If so I'll send an email.

EDIT - And you only bought two tickets. I did the same thing and my order came to $164.90 after the fees.

DotheStu---Yeah, I heard about a Green Day concert that one of the Bone staff people was referring to--nothing to do with Joe w/Chickenfoot at the Fillmore. That was just a message one guy was trying to pass to the Noon DJ.

I got my pair of tickets to the ROAD TEST show at the Fillmore San Fran! I gotta go early to the Will Call window to pick them up.....Looks like me Steve and me will be hanging out in SF for the day!

Tracie--Are you gonna be there?

Last week I was in West London attending a conference.

While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer.

I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their uniforms, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red blooded Briton who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families. Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work, and enjoy our home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers.

He knelt down and said 'hi,' the little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her.

The young soldier didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy.

Suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Corporal and had been in Afghanistan for 5 months now.

As the mum was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mum was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second.

Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie.

They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.'

He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a Kiss on the cheek.

He finished by saying 'Your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'

The mum at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mum.

I was standing no more than 6 feet away as this entire event unfolded.

As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause.

As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own.

That young soldier in one last act of moment turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices.

At the end of the day, it's good to be an Englishman.

RED FRIDAYS

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday.

The reason?

Englishmen and women who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'.

We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for Country and home in record breaking numbers
